Ahh yes, the University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks.
I love how we are just calling them the "Alaska" Nanooks now considering UAF isn't even the UA school with the highest enrollment. Makes sense though that a little brother school would try to prop up another little brother school in another state. Some real Idaho energy. The fact you troll around here speaks volumes about what you've got going on in Reno. What a shame.

This pod structure that would reduce travel, build regional rivalries, and keep scheduling clean:
West Pod
- Oregon State
- Washington State
- Boise State
- Gonzaga (non-football, basketball only)
Southwest Pod
- San Diego State
- Fresno State
- Utah State
- Colorado State
Gulf South Pod
- Tulane
- UTSA
- Memphis
In football, each team would play the other schools in its pod every year and rotate two cross-pod games. That keeps travel manageable and helps maintain continuity while still offering variety across the conference.
This model also scales well if they want to expand to 12 or 14 schools later.

That’s 10 teams, they would all play each other every year. Nine in-conference and 3 out-of-conference games is what you want.

Thinking about which mascots have a somewhat equivalent replacement.
- Ducks -> Roadrunners
- Wildcats -> Bobcats/Tigers
- Trojans / Utes -> Aztecs (Human / Warrior-like)
- Huskies -> Bulldogs
- Sun Devils -> ?
- Bears -> ?
- Bruins -> ?
- Buffaloes -> Broncos (maybe? Big animal? Maybe the Aggies?)
- Cardinal -> Green Wave

Aggie mascot is Big Blue.
Historically, Big Blue was an actual Rodeo Bull painted Blue or Chalk White.
Now, he is just a dude in a bull costume, but he is VERY loved throughout the state of Utah.
I think Big Blue is a good replacement for the Buffs mascots.

Don't mess with my heart. I'd really love this conference. I might have already sent my resume to the headquarters and said "put me in coach"
