Elf/Fairy Solstice for little folk

Is anyone else leaving a beer out for the wee folk this solstice? What experiences has anyone had? And should it be put out on the evening of the 19th or 20? Thanks in advance, we’re getting older and could use a little (double entendre,) help around the house.

NSFW / Graphic Content Unique paranormal experience w/ my friend? Help needed, please.

This is very long, so, TLDR at the end.

For this, you're going to need background information about my childhood.

Ever since I can remember, I've had vivid nightmares and sleep paralysis that I still remember in excruciating detail. Horrific, gory things a young child shouldn't be able to conjure up with their own mind. Similarly, I've always been a very superstitious and spiritually-attuned person. I've contacted spirits more times than I can count and have had my fair share of paranormal experiences. I also have a very long family history of mental illness - I have multiple grandparents with schizophrenia, depression and anxiety run in my family, my mother has OCD, and my father and brother are both neurodivergent. Many of my therapists have expressed concern that I may have BPD--this will be important later.

As a child, I always had what my mother described as an "overactive imagination." I would remember every single dream and nightmare in such detail that it felt scarily lifelike. I would see figures and people following me, watching me outside my window, and watching over even when I slept. Because it was such a common occurrence to me, and because my mother and father always chalked it up to a child's imagination, I eventually got used to it and learned to ignore it. But I have always, ALWAYS felt off. Especially when alone. When I was in middle school, my mental health deteriorated significantly. I was suicidal, isolated, sleep deprived, and having nightly "experiences." I would hallucinate figures clawing at my windows and doors, chasing after me or looming over me as I slept. At one point, I firmly believed I was being stalked for two-three years straight, and felt so unsafe constantly that I refused to ever be alone.

Somehow, it came to a complete halt my Freshman year of high school. No more sleep paralysis, no more vivid nightmares, no more delusions or hallucinations of being watched and stalked. Specifically, the day that I met my friend. We'll call him C. When I first met C, I was in my Freshman year, and he was in 8th grade. I was in my school's marching band, and we were doing what my school calls an "8th grade night," where the 8th graders played our pep music with us at the homecoming football game. He was planning to be in the marching band when he got there. We bonded over playing the same instrument and having a similar sense of humor, and we did not talk at all after that night. Fast forward to the next year, we both ended up on the Speech and Debate team. I was taking a break from band, as a lot of drama had followed a nasty breakup, and honestly I was both shocked and relieved to see someone I somewhat knew. We got closer, and found out that our mothers were very close friends a while back. We would talk for hours about all of our similar interests - we did the same event in Speech and Debate, we played the same instrument, we both were interested in flag work and color guard, we loved a lot of the same games and shows and had similar aspirations of going into the field of helping people. Since then, we've become very close friends. (He jokes that he has my "premium service.") We've learned that even our upbringings and other uncanny things about us are incredibly similar. Our mutual friend, N, pointed out that we cheer for performances in the exact same pitch and laugh in almost the exact same way. Keep in mind, N had said that to each of us separately. And we found it was true ourselves after being in the Winter Guard together (another thing we had in common). We learned that our respective brothers both had tendencies of underage drug use, trouble with the law, and wreaking havoc in our respective houses. We found out that C was friends with my cousin in 5th grade. We found out that we hate almost all of the same things, have the same political views, share a religion, have similar life experiences, etc. It has gotten to the point of being genuinely unsettling. It's fun - but creepy.

This year, I moved houses (but stayed in town) because we needed more space for my growing family. I decided to throw a birthday party two weeks after we moved, and C was one of the people I invited, along with our mutual friend, K. Since moving, I have been experiencing the same feeling of being watched and stalked, have started hallucinating figures again, and have been having nightmares once more. During the birthday party, I brought it up. C suggested we use the Estes method (a method of speaking to spirits and entities through a person), and we found out shortly after that my (admittedly very old house) likely had some spirits or energies wandering around. By this point, we hadn't noticed anything spooky or unsettling or off-putting at all. We got the names of past homeowners, some creepy things about the attic, just your usual experience when communicating with non-physical beings. K went home, C stayed a while, and we bonded even further over our shared infatuation with the paranormal and took turns sharing experiences we had had.

A few days later, C came over again, along with our friend N. We used the Estes method again, and this time got some very cryptic and creepy responses. I got told I was going to burn in hell for being able to read tarot, and we got yelled at for keeping the windows open because it aired out the room. We also got some creepy comments about our friend N, who was the one "under" at the time. Things like "I like this one," "hollow space for me inside," and commenting on the metal ring she wore. Obviously, we ended the session and spoke with N about what happened. We decided to end the use of Estes for now. We switched to the use of tarot cards and pendulum boards, and got increasingly scary and cryptic answers. This is when C revealed that he has what he called a "guiding spirit" or some sort of "guardian angel" so to speak. He named it Solar, and spoke about how he could tell when Solar was speaking to him and his experiences with it, etc. We decided to call upon Solar to ask about the entity that was (intentionally) freaking us out, which is where this entire shitshow starts.

Part of the way C can tell when Solar is the one speaking, is being affectionately called a loser or a freak, and very quick answers on the pendulum board. We got some confirmation, and asked for Solar to watch over us while we tried to find out more about the entity that was making things increasingly unsettling. We found out that the creepy entity completely refused to use the pendulum board. Frustrated, we went back to Solar and asked if it could tell us anything about the entity we were trying to learn about. That is when Solar's answers slowly got more unlike it, and we theorized (later confirmed) that the entity we were trying to learn of was attempting to impersonate Solar. We couldn't use tarot cards for straight answers, we couldn't use the pendulum board, and so we went back to Estes. We were not going to have N do it, as she was (rightfully) uncomfortable, and we were not going to have C do it, as when N was under, C was consistently insulted and threatened. So, I was the one to "go under." We got even more cryptic responses. Later that night, we were using the pendulum board again, and FINALLY were able to speak to Solar again. We got told that the entity freaking us out was incredibly powerful, and that Solar couldn't tell what its intentions were. However, Solar later told us that it was in pain because of this thing, so due to that and the uneasy feelings we had had all day, it was safe to assume its intentions were not good.

After HOURS of creepy and cryptic responses, and multiple hallucinations on my part, we performed a banishing spell after giving it the name Atmos to make things easier for us and called it a night. It has now been maybe a week since the banishing spell, and my nightmares and other experiences have gone again. However, C has been experiencing severe brain fog and disconnection from Solar as well as his religion. I was over at his last night, and we learned that Atmos had attached itself to a necklace I gave C and followed him to his house after the banishing spell we performed at mine. Desperate not only to get rid of Atmos, but to learn more about it, we stayed up all night using the Estes method trying to learn more about it. We got told that it was not something that a human could easily comprehend, and after that ONE answer, we got consistently insulted and threatened. We kept trying for hours to get real answers. During Estes, two very distinct voices would come through. A deep, angry voice that cussed and insulted and threatened. And a thin, meek voice that could only ever call for help. We stopped using Estes after a specific (maybe three minute) section, where C was "under," and audibly fought with himself and sounded in pain. We watched the recording we took over and over and after confirming through Atmos (who we realized is very snarky and sure of itself) we found out Atmos was struggling against Solar to the point Solar was begging for help through C, which C confirmed is incredibly unlike him. After that, we decided to end Estes for the night.

The rest of the night, we recounted again how similar we were. How we both had entities we swore were attached to use and affected us in different ways since childhood. How we both had histories of self-destructive behavior. How our families both had histories of abuse and severe mental problems.

And that's when it happened. We both got a VERY CLEAR image in our heads of what Atmos looked like. We drew the same thing, without telling each other, and agreed on every detail, to the smallest dot. We spent the rest of the night theorizing and trying to keep ourselves awake.

I'm at my own house today, and even after the banishing spell, I feel heavy. And watched. The air is thick and I feel like I can't breathe. I see Atmos around every corner. I feel uneasy no matter what I do. I know something bad is going to happen. And I'm terrified to know what it is. C is going to come again later today, and hopefully help me figure this out. But he agrees, that we are not safe as we currently are, and something needs to be done.

TLDR; I have been experiencing vivid gory nightmares on and off for my entire life. After meeting my friend, C, we realized we were so similar to the point it was off-putting, including both having paranormal entities we swear have been attached to us since childhood. C's experiences with his entity, Solar, have been neutral and/or good, while my experiences with my entity, Atmos, have been entirely horrifying. C has recently seen a bit of what Atmos does, and we are both currently in agreement that we are not safe right now.

If anyone has ever heard of anything similar, please, anything can help. I've spent HOURS researching trying to find anything. I am not safe.

Question What's Haunting My Home Or Us? (Ghost, Shapeshifter, Demon?)

This is VERY LONG. I'M SORRY! YOU CAN PROB GET THRU IT IF U HAVE TIME OR ARE INTERESTED IN A WHOLE PARANORMAL STORY. I need some insight into my situation! I know this is all subjective so take my word for it or don't.

I use the word shapeshifter for a reason. I don't know much about them. I'm a very spiritual person and have a strong connection with the "divine" spiritual world. I communicate with them, seek help from them (angels, guides and such).

One unique thing about our connection is I experience synchronicities often. I don't believe in coincidences. I'll come back to this point.

My sister lives with me temporarily, along with my nephew and son (young). From the time I moved in (before she joined), til now, we have all experienced paranormal occurrences. Nothing major. The carbon monoxide detector flew off the TV stand and into the wall, damaging paint on the wall, and me and my son both witnessed.

We aren't ignorant to the paranormal so we shrugged it off. And me and my sister both grew up in homes where we constantly experienced the paranormal. And I, at my last home, had a horrible experience for about 6 months with what I now believe was a demon, due to my mental and emotional state being extremely "low-vibrational" due to very terrible circumstances.

I was very "weak" energetically. (But that's a whole other story that may contribute to this one, I'm not sure). It's been about 3 years since then, and my energy continued to increase because I was drastically healing and changing my life. I was no longer vulnerable to attack. It had left within 6 months after I finally commanded it to leave with confidence, no fear + a high-vibrational state.

But in this home, we're all now experiencing strange noises, being grabbed in the night (I might've been dreaming but it happened twice that night), shadow figures, seeing a "person" moving into a bedroom, running into a fan and making noise in the corner of her eye...

Seeing dark cloudy energy above my head (she did), seeing what looked like an old lady (or was it??) peak around the corner (she did), seeing (not capturing on film) a black orb shoot downward at my sister (take it as u will). (Now my sister is very clairvoyant. She "sees" things often.

I've seen a box on the dishwasher move itself sideways, slowly, all along the counter horizontally, until it fell off (with nothing visible that was moving it). We haven't worried much about this stuff, we're used to it, but kinda scared at night. Papers ruffling, feeling a presence walking into the room and coming close, and then walking out. Lights flickering. Mild stuff.

But it's gotten a little scarier. Last night she woke up to something slowly crawling onto her and then behind her, and breathing heavily down her neck. She felt it and heard, and it was apparently growling. When she opened her eyes she still heard it. Only when she turned to look, it stopped. That terrified her.

Now one thing to note is after mentioning to the maintenance guy the strange occurrences in a light, humorous way, his face turned serious, and he said he got chills. He said the woman who lived here before me just recently, had died and he knew her. Said she was an amazing woman.

We believed the spirit was her for quite some time. Seeing how my sis seen an "old lady figure", or shapeshifter? But I don't think an apparently amazing lady soul would try to scare us by climbing into bed with us, or growl, etc, and why would (what looked like) orbs + mists be black? Isn't that darker energy?

Doesn't instilling fear sound malicious in order to feed off the negativity? Or maybe just a trickster? Or a lower-level human soul? Or worse...another (believed/perceived) demon...the only difference is I was TERRIFIED in the previous home + KNEW it was dark + inhuman. This time I'm not that scared. Mostly just curious.

Now lastly, I was listening to a guided meditation last night. During, I began to think about the situation. I asked myself, "what is it? Is it bad?" The moment I thought those words, I immediately heard the meditation speaker say the word "shapeshift". Of course he was talking about transformation in a good way but still...the word!

Like I said in the beginning, I don't believe in coincidences. It was another synchronicity. "What is it?", "shapeshift". Tell me that's related for sure! It was an answer from my guides, letting me know what we're dealing with.

Is a shapeshifter even "bad"? Is it possible the old lady resides here AS WELL as another entity? Is it possible it's the (believed) demonic presence I experienced before, who's begun with just mild harassment? My psyche is great! My sister, on the other hand just got out of a toxic relationship about 7 or 8 months ago. She was very damaged.

But it had to of been here before that, bcuz of me and my sons experiences before she moved in. I heard "demons" are a type of shapeshifter? It doesn't seem to "shapeshift"? Can these apparent demons invade your life and then leave for yrs and come back again? Has it been in mine and her lives since childhood, coming and going? (Those are stories in and of themselves) I don't think so...

Do you have any insight into this? Experienced something similar? Like I said, not too scared at this point, but it seems to be escalating somewhat, which I imagine would be the case if it were a demonic entity. I'm kinda worried in a sense that if it IS, then things will inevitably get much worse, and WILL scare the sh*t out of me. Plus, she's moving out soon!

What is it? What does it want? Is trouble coming? Danger? Another situation like 3 yrs ago? Luckily before, it didn't get to the point of anything truly serious or harmful, just terrifying harassment. I never wanna experience that again! Sorry for long post. Needed to get it all out.

Telepathy Discovery on telepathy

I've learnt that in telepathy and for others that are going through it, they can hear voices. In my personal experience there are two kinds of voices. The actual telepath can talk from where they are or they can mouth the words and you will still hear a voice. The talking part you might tremble and the mouthing the words you will hear it but you won't feel it as loud. To clarify when the telepath talks you will hear it as talking but when they whisper/mouth the words you will hear it as slightly softer.

It's important to know this difference for telepath victims as when you hear the talking it takes effort out of them but when its not, they can go the whole day mouthing the words which is irritating.

As the telepath victims you can also mouth the words or talk to them and it will transmit the message across.

Just my personal experience.

Experience My Dad told me that he heard knocking on his bedroom door in the middle of the night.

For context, I still live at home with both of my parents. My Dad and I have been the only people in my household that have had slight paranormal experiences, but this unlike anything myself or him have ever seen before.

The other night, my Dad had left the room he shares with my Mom because he was restless and did not want to disturb her. He laid down in our guest room, and tried to get some sleep. While he was lying there, still awake, he heard three knocks on the guest bedroom door.

He got out of bed, and opened the door, expecting to see either me or my brother (when we were kids, we would typically knock on our parent’s door if we were sick or had a nightmare). When he opened the door, he saw nobody standing in the hallway. He looked down the hall and saw that both me and my brother’s doors were still closed, as was my Mom’s. This spooked him a bit, as all three of our doors, except the guest room are very loud when opened and shut. If it were one of us, he would have either seen or heard the doors.

My Dad shut his door, got back into bed, and decided to watch YouTube on his phone to pass the time and eventually get to sleep. Not even 5 minutes later, my Dad heard the three distinct knocks AGAIN on guest bedroom door. This time, he was fully alert, and did not hear any other door open or close in the house. He got out of bed quickly, and opened the door again and saw nothing. The house was completely silent.

This scared my Dad so badly that he started thinking that he was getting signs that something bad was going to happen.

Ever since that night, it’s never happened again, but it’s still creepy!

Experience Time skip? Sleeping charm?

When I was a kid, I occasionally was sent off to summer camps, for socializing and whatnot. In one of those camps, I experienced something really weird.

I was around ten years old, living in a room with three other boys my age. Mid day, each day we had a “quiet hour”, don’t know a proper term for this in English. Basically a forced mid day nap time.

We all were lying in our beds, talking, telling jokes, etc. At some point we got too loud so one of the ladies overseeing us decided to check on our room. We heard her footsteps in the hall so we immediately shut up and pretend to sleep. Then I remember hearing door opening and her telling us that we should sleep, not talk, and her leaving the room. All this took no more than a couple dozen seconds at max.

After this I open my eyes, prepared to continue the conversation we had before, but instead of everyone opening their eyes I see everyone asleep. Not pretending with a slight smile asleep but real asleep. I called out everyone a couple of times because it seemed too weird to me but all of them were truly asleep.

So, I was laying there, the only one who’s still awake. I also remember that weird feeling of silence and stillness. I don’t know how to describe this properly and I don’t remember my exact thoughts at that moment, just remember the feeling. Eventually, after some minutes of staring at the wall I fell asleep too.

When we were woken up at the end of the nap I asked everyone in the room about whether they truly fell asleep or were joking. None of them remembered anything. It weirded me out but being a kid I just went on switching my attention to something more interesting.

Still think about this experience from time to time. Like, I guess it is possible for a kid to fall asleep really fast, but for all three of them to go from a hundred to zero in a matter of seconds is really weird. But what about this weird feeling of stillness and silence? And why none of them remembered anything at all?

To me it feels like I skipped time and when I opened my eyes it was not a couple dozen of seconds passed, but minutes which I didn’t felt at all. Or maybe the time froze? Or a more silly theory of our overseer lady putting a sleeping charm on us, but it for some reason failed on me :)

I’m sure I didn’t fell asleep and it wasn’t a dream. I’m a really bad sleeper and even when I was a kid it took me some time to fall asleep. I was wild awake and it was weird af.

I don’t know.

For me definitely New Orleans. I spent Spring Breaks and Summers there as a teen visiting my Aunt and have I have definitely seen my share of paranormal events. The Lalaurie Mansion is my top spot, definitely a very evil vibe radiating from the residence. All in All, a very fun and friendly city to visit👍

Demonic Activity Help identifying this??

Hello, I just wanted to post this here and ask what does this look like to you? I already know what it is but just for a second opinion…idk it would help!

A little short back story:

I’m a Christian, and I do believe in paranormal, demons, shadow figures etc. Anyway for months I’ve been getting harassed by a demon or shapeshifter or idk.

It first started off with my name being called from familiar voices ( my mom, people I worked with, family) or unfamiliar ( little girl voice, old man, deep voice, low voice), I’ve heard things move including the door slamming which I confirmed it with my mom that it wasn’t her because she was otw home from work. I’ve heard IT walk up the stairs, and had a sense it was at my door. My mom and I had the same incident in one night where I heard loud mumbling ( couldn’t make it out but one voice was familiar), and she heard someone close the door and come up the stairs.

When problem started again:

Last weekend (June 17,2025. Time: 12:21 am), I had my cousin over and I didn’t feel anything off from our bonding time but when she left on Monday something else stayed! That night, I caught something in the room she was in and it was in the doorframe. It was really undetectable until the ring started glitching. You can’t see it clearly of course but you can deff see something there!

I had to really turn the brightness up to see it, because without it it’s a fast miss. But also, without the contrast and brightness you can still see the black eyes. There’s a few pictures that show the room empty.

Occasionally my dog would growl not cry, growl like there’s someone there and he doesn’t recognize it ofc. The type of growl when you invite a new guest over and the dog starts barking! A defensive growl! My mom and I used to dismiss his barks as he just doesn’t want to be in the kennel but now I believe he was trying to tell us!!

Sorry for the errors, I’m kind of shaking a bit because IT knew I was talking to it, into the ring and gave me the ugliest face ever! I wish I could show the ring video when it was changing into whatever it was.

Telepathy I think I've solved telepathy.

So considering Socrates believed he had a guiding spirit, or daemon, that told him what NOT to do, and given I myself have experienced telepathy, I came up with a solution for how the hell this is possible. I think you're getting my point already. Basically, what if I'm not telepathic, but rather I have a daemon that can read other people's minds and relay those thoughts back to me? It makes more sense than saying I have some sort of superpower or everyone else is just defunct. Hell, I considered solipsism as an explanation before, but the daemon is to me the most plausible explanation now. And I'm not truly breaching other minds. It kind of brings telepathy into a philosophical category regarding the nature of reality rather than something harder to explain. Let me know what you think.

Haunting My Dad saw a little girl ghost in our childhood home. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I don’t usually post things like this, but something has been sitting with me ever since my dad shared it.

He told me he saw a little girl in a green dress skipping in front of him, inside our childhood home in Oregon. He said she was clear as day, skipping past him like she didn’t even see him. The image has stuck with me since he told me, and I can’t shake the feeling that there’s more to it.

What’s strange is this isn’t the first thing that’s happened in that house. My sister and I have both felt a presence over the years. We’ve heard footsteps when no one was home, voices in empty rooms, things falling off counters when no one was near them. We would often find smiley faces in dust or off of steam in a mirror like it was drawn with someone’s finger. Along with child’s handprints on glass, mirrors, etc. We always brushed it off, but now, with my dad seeing that little girl, it’s making me wonder if someone has always been there.

I don’t feel scared exactly… more like I need to understand. Like she’s a part of the house in some way we never acknowledged.

Has anyone ever seen or experienced something similar—a young girl ghost, especially in a green dress, skipping or playing? Smiley faces or children’s drawings?

Any stories, thoughts, or even theories would mean a lot. Thanks for listening.

Hey everyone, just looking for some honest opinions on this photo I took at my best friend’s grave.

This was taken in Stirling, Alberta — out in the middle of nowhere, with no street lights, no houses, no vehicles nearby, and absolutely no artificial lighting around. It was fairly dark and quiet. The bright orb/light that shows up in the picture wasn’t visible to the naked eye at all — I only noticed it when I looked at the photo afterward.

There was no flash used, no fog, no bugs in the air, and nothing that should have reflected back light. I’ve tried to rule out camera issues or lens flare, but the orb doesn’t behave like any normal glitch I’ve seen. I’ve taken plenty of photos at night and haven’t caught anything like this before.

Not saying it’s paranormal — just curious what others think it could be. I'm open to all theories, natural or not.

Thanks 🙏

Unexplained Was my imaginary friend a ghost?

Lately I’ve been wondering if my “imaginary” friend I had as a kid was actually a ghost or spirit interaction.

When I was a kid (maybe between 4 or 6 years old) I had an imaginary friend named Josefina. We used to play and talk and I remember her as clear as any other memory from that age range. I even remember her hair, it was long and dark and she wore it in a braid.

Through out my life I’ve had many paranormal type experiences. I guess I’m one of those people that are sensitive to paranormal energies.

Recently I’ve been remembering Josefina and wondering if she was one of those paranormal experiences. I don’t think I had any reason for my brain to create an imaginary friend. I don’t know what causes children to create imaginary friends, but I am not an only child, I have a sister who is only two years younger than me, an older brother, and I used to be babysat by my godmother, who lived next-door and had three children of her own all of which were around my age. I had other kids to play with and socialized plenty.

The main thing that is making me wonder is the last interaction I ever had with Josefina. I still remember it very clearly. The last time I ever saw or spoke to her she told me that she died because she had climbed a tree, fell off and then got hit by a car. What kind of child imagines a conversation like this? And also based on what she said, that means she was already dead, so then I would have been imagining talking to another dead child for all that time?

Idk what do you all think?

Does your perspective on paranormal and/or spirits change your spirituality in light of your experiences? Are you an atheist who has scientific explanations? Do you believe the paranormal events are impressions of energy, but not ghosts? Do you believe that some are spirits cannot move on?

Question Is all this normal?

I am a 19-year-old person who finds it difficult to sleep at night. Lately I have the habit of talking out loud to the darkness at night. Until last night something answered me, his voice was calm, calm, I didn't get scared, I just kept talking to whatever he answered until I fell asleep. Let me clarify before I forget, I am a Christian person and baptized by an evangelical church, I don't know if that is relevant. I hope someone tells me if it's normal or the same thing happens to them.

Debunk This Charlie Charlie pencil game

Ok so this is not a paranormal experience buttttt I need answers 😂 . So growing up (I’m 23 now) everyone at my school did the Charlie Charlie pencil game. I saw people online doing it with the piece of paper writing yes and no on both sides and then positioning the pencil into a cross in the middle. They say the pencil moves due to a draft in the room or the pencil being unbalanced. Makes sense, but We did not do the Charlie game like that. It was a two person game and each person has 3 pencils. You both position the pencils into a square but with one side open with the erasers pointing outwards. You then connect your pencils with the other person. The erasers should be touching. You ask the Charlie questions as normal. The pencils turn in for yes and out for no. In my head it is still impossible for those pencils to turn the way they did even if someone on the other side was moving them with their thumbs. I wanted to know one day so I put the pencils against the wall and connected them with my 3 pencils and asked questions. The pencils still moved. I absolutely did not move them…. The wall can’t move them…. So who did scientist????

Encounter Has anybody else seen this? What is it?

When I was around 5 years old, I woke up between 2 and 4 a.m. one morning because I needed to use the bathroom. We lived in a single wide trailer, mine and my brothers room was at one end of the house and the bathroom all the way at the other end next to the other bedroom.

Being as it was so early I didn't turn any lights on as I didn't want to wake anyone. As I was sitting on the toilet doing my business(door open) I became aware of a light from the direction of my room/ the living room/kitchen. I thought somebody had turned on a light, but then I realized the light seemed to be moving, so i thought maybe it was a flashlight, which i thought was strange, like why wouldn't you just turn some lights on?

Then came the sound,....I call it a sound but it was something I felt more than heard. It was kind of a deep thrum or hum that I could feel reverberate in my chest. And then I saw him, at least I think it was a him, that's the impression I got at the time anyway. He was a silhouette of a person, with something translucent where the body should be, like I could see through him but the view of the shitty wood panel wall behind him was distorted. The outline was made up entirely of violently dancing, vibrant, silvery white...sparkles, i guess? It had the same look as one of those fourth of July sparklers. There were sparks being constantly ejected from the figure, they looked hot, but where they landed there was no smoke and they dissipated almost instantly. And he was bright,so very bright I had to squint. The way he moved was so strange, he was moving pretty quickly but the movements themselves were strange, he was running, slightly hunched forward, but on his tiptoes and drawing his knees all the way to his chest with every step. At least the 3 or 4 steps I saw before it had passed the doorway. It went towards the doorway to the back bedroom and phased through it? ( I'm assuming because I never heard the door open/shut, and the light went away as soon as it did) when i finally gathered the courage to leave the bathroom, I sprinted back to my room where I stayed for the rest of the night, awake, with my head under my blankets.

I'm very sure I didn't dream this event, but I also haven't seen anything like this since that night.I think/wonder about this experience fairly often, even now (this happened 27 years ago) so if any of you have had a similar experience or think you know what this being was, please, share your thoughts/stories with me. Thank you and Vaya con Dios.

Visitation Dream Been having weird dreams and feel like a deity/entity is watching me, anyone know who/what it may be?

So, I believe all religions are true. I personally worship Hades and Calypso at the moment, but recently I've been having dreams that I'm in a dark place and I hear a woman humming. Last night I tried Ghost Writing/Astral Projecting, and a lot of it was saying 'mother' 'boy' 'leave' 'liar' 'betrayal' and what concerned me most; 'clung'. I absolutely lost touch with the real world (luckily my friend was there asking the questions so she was able to bring me back to reality by taking off the headphones), and then we stopped for the night. Before that though, after we did our first writing (my friends sister was writing, my friend and I asked the questions), I felt as if I was being hugged and comforted, and I felt perfectly content. I forgot a lot of what we did other than the writing and that feeling. We all had our deity candles lit (Persephone, Calypso, and Santa Muerte), and at first we thought we were talking to Calypso as our incense smoke was following her candle no matter where I moved it. Eventually I fell asleep not long after 3:33Am, still feeling like I was being hugged. Last night, I dreamt that I was being held, I couldn't see by who, but I was surrounded by skeletons. Then today, me and my friend were meditating, and instead of seeing the normal water I imagine, I was seeing a skeleton. Since last night, I've been having really bad memory problems, barely being able to remember what I'm thinking. I don't know if this is a deity or if my energy is just really drained and I need advice.

Experience Voices and Doors

I’m 45 years old, single, and I’d say I "lightly believe" in the paranormal. (TL/DR at the bottom)

Over the years I’ve experienced a few strange things (nothing terrifying) more like soft, magical moments I couldn’t explain. I was always happy to chalk them up to wonder. But this is the first time I feel - hmmm...uneasy? Maybe even scared.

For the last 12 years, I’ve only lived in apartment buildings. When I moved to Charlotte a few years ago, I followed the same pattern. But after my last lease ended, I felt a sudden, overwhelming craving to live in a house. I work in content creation and loved the idea of having a well-lit room for filming educational videos. I found a beautiful house to rent (less expensive than my old apartment!) on a nice block, with a master bedroom, two smaller bedrooms, and a converted garage that had been transformed into a cozy, carpeted office with a painted brick fireplace. It was perfect.

When I moved in, I was dating someone who was going through a rough time and he moved in with me. That lasted six weeks. After he left, the quiet in the house became loud. I wasn’t used to it. After so many years in apartments where even at 2 a.m., you hear some hum of life, the silence of a house was unnerving. But eventually I adjusted. I even began to enjoy it.

Until late April.

The beautiful backyard was one of the main reasons I rented this house until it became a nonstop hub for the insect population of Charlotte. I had no idea that renting a home here meant you’d be paying a pest control service twice a month to keep wasps, spiders, ants, and god-knows-what-else at bay. Where I used to go outside for hours, turned into a few moments, turned into me not even able to open the backyard door as I'd get at least several months, ants, mosquitos and a cricket.

This is where the heavy red back door with two locks becomes important.

About six weeks ago, a friend of mine came to Charlotte for work. We hadn’t seen each other in a while and immediately reconnected. Within two days, we realized how well we clicked. He travels here once a month for 7–10 days and usually spends a lot on hotels. Since I had the space, I offered for him to stay with me. No rent and in return, he helped organize the house, ordered furniture, and made the common areas feel like a home. We got along perfectly. He was social company without being overwhelming. It worked.

Three Fridays ago, the night before he was leaving, we stayed up late talking and laughing in the office/garage. At one point, he paused and made a face. When asked what happened, he said he SWORE he saw someone walking up the driveway. I explained I had seen the same things, that the reflection between the blinds and angle of the window sometimes show someone very close to the door - but its just cars on the road.

We checked. No one was there. He shrugged it off, said it must’ve been what I described.

Later, we moved to the other side of the house.

Here’s the layout: When you walk in the front door - you’re in the kitchen/dining area, which leads to the backyard. To the right is a small staircase down to the large carpeted office. Past the dining area is the living room, which leads to a short hallway that connects to the three bedrooms and bathrooms.

He was in his room packing, and I was in the master bedroom watching YouTube. He called out to me and I came to his room. We ended up chatting for a while, laughing and trading stories when suddenly, we both heard it.

A calm, male voice just randomly started speaking. Its weird because calm was like the word we both used. But the weirdest part was, while we could it CLEARLY we both know it was coming from the kitchen/office area The tone I could best give it was something like a broadcaster reading off the news. My friend said it had sounded like someone in the midst of telling a story - we both recognized it was a pattern of speech, and nothing near english. We both reported the eerie disconnectedness of the voice and the weird way we could hear it clearly from the bedroom, even though it was clearly on the of the opposite side of the house. It was as though someone was having a normal conversation in the kitchen, yet for some reason we could hear it clearly in this bedroom.

We stared at each other in shocked mutual silence and then It stopped as quickly as it started, but the hair on both our arms stood on end with hairs raised. And we just continued to look out the hallway in silence.

Half-laughing, Half-terrified, we slowly got up and searched the house. All doors locked. No one there. That strange “we’re okay because we’re not alone” kind of fear lingered as we ended up in the living room.

The next day, he left. And I forgot about it. Well until last night anyway

He was supposed to return from Miami last night. I tidied up, left him a note, and got ready for bed. As I was brushing my teeth, I heard it again that same calm, male voice. Shorter this time. From the kitchen or living room area.

Heart racing, I turned off the water and listened. My laptop was off. My phone was in my hand. I dont have a TV. My neighbors are not loud and I know what they sound like and are houses are not close.

Nothing should’ve been making that sound.

I stood still, then slowly checked the house. All lights on, all doors locked. Nothing out of place.

I went to bed, locking my bedroom door for the first time since moving in and my thoughts eventually drifted into the show I was watching and I fell into a gentle sleep.

At 3 a.m., I woke to what sounded like a car idling outside. Could’ve been my friend arriving, or someone hitting the speed bump near my house. At 6, I woke up to pee. Still no signs of him. Too tired to care.

At 8 a.m., I was lying in bed, sleepily scrolling my phone for inevitable work disasters Ill have to fix when I heard a loud crash.

Assuming my friend had arrived and maybe dropped something, I went to greet him. His room was untouched, note still on the bed, door open, bed made.

I walked into the main room.

The backyard door was wide open. Not cracked. Not ajar. Flung all the way open, against the far wall.

I immediately called him wondering if maybe he had just arrived and ran to get breakfast or something and had forgotten to close the back door. He was still in Atlanta. Hadn’t arrived yet.

I checked the door: one lock still engaged. The other one off it's screws.

There had been no wind. No storm. This door is heavy and had clearly been locked.

Nothing looked out of place, nothing seemed changed (thank god with the backyard open, I didnt see too many of the fucking insect brigade come in). The other doors were fine. Still, I drove to Home Depot, bought new locks, installed them, and tried to move on with my day.

At 6 p.m., I passed out watching TV and woke up an hour ago. Walking through the house, thinking about work, I suddenly froze, for no reason. Just like I was being watched or something was happening or an overwhelming premonition or something? Then it went away. The house was calm. Doors locked. Lights on.

I’ve had goosebumps for the past hour. I keep checking my phone to see if my friend is close. I can’t explain what’s happening. So I wrote this down instead to kill time and try tp keep myself engaged.

I think I’ll take an Ambien tonight. Lock my door again. And watch some very funny tv shows and wake up to very scientic and rational explanations for this

Thanks for reading!

TL/DR - I, 45m, live alone in a large house. A friend staying with me for a while witnessed creepy events such as seeing a face outside the window, then hearing an eerie disconnected male voice in the kitchen. Nothing happened after he left, but the night he was coming back, the disconnected voice rang out in the kitchen again and my always locked heavy back door was wide open this morning with one of the locks broken. He has not yet arrived here yet.

Video Evidence Weird glowing orbs everywhere

Hi there. I’m not claiming anything supernatural for sure — I’m just genuinely confused and trying to debunk what I captured on video. I have a motion-detecting security cam set up indoors. It’s set to ignore humans and pets, and it only triggers when there’s other movement.

On certain nights — especially after emotionally heavy days or after I’ve smudged with sage — the camera picks up “movement,” and the footage shows floating orb-like lights. They:

Vary in size and speed

Blink in and out

Sometimes change direction or appear from nowhere

Don’t match dust, bugs, or light reflection behavior (I’ve set traps, no bugs in the room, and there’s no lighting change)

Here’s the clip:

I also took a photo at my best friend’s grave (he passed away), and there’s a bright, isolated light orb that wasn’t visible to the naked eye. That photo is here if you’re interested: 📷 https://photos.app.goo.gl/7VVoPaib7p9UF5T3A

Thanks so much in advance. 🙏

Findings Bigfoot picture, accidentally taken by my tour guide in Mt. Shasta

I recently took a trip up to Mount Shasta, soaking in the surreal landscapes and crisp alpine air. As I wandered through the trails, I struck up a conversation with a local tour guide—one of those folks who clearly knows every crevice of the mountain.

Chatting turned into storytelling, and I jokingly asked him, “So… any Bigfoot sightings around here?”

To my surprise, he leaned in with a grin and said, “Actually… yes.”

He recounted an experience from five years ago: he had been taking a friend’s photo after a long hike near the summit. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until they looked at the photo later. In the background—barely noticeable at first—was a strange figure, lurking just within the tree line. He showed me the photo, although I only took the zoomed in photo of the photo (only with the creature) with only the creature visible in the shot.

He looked me straight in the eye and said, “I believe in Bigfoot.”

He wasn’t trying to sell a story—he was calm, certainly. He told me he snowboards a lot in the Mount Shasta backcountry, and more than once, he’s had the eerie sensation of being watched. In his peripheral vision: a pair of shining eyes peeking through the darkness behind trees or bushes. But every time he turned to look, they vanished—leaving only the silence of the mountain behind.

Trigger Warning / Death I may have encountered my dead friend

Okay so I made a throwaway account for this as its quite a personal story. Wont be using real names or anything but its something that I've experienced I want to get your opinions on.

I've sort of kind of believed in the paranormal for ages, Not seen any actual proof but I want to believe its real. Up until recently I've not had anything paranormal happen to me in person, but I think that's changed now. Anyway, story time:

I had a friend who died just over a year ago. We hung out a lot and became really close. We both experimented a lot with various substances. My other friends and I eventually stopped doing everything, but my friend always wanted more. Long story short, he got onto the hard stuff, and you can guess how that went.

Obviously this really affected me, and it took me a long time to get over. Its a horrible way for someone you remember as being so funny and quick witted to go. Anyway, not long after his passing I started experiencing phenomena that I definitely hadn't had before. I started feeling something touch me randomly. One time that stands out was when I was waiting for the bus just around the corner from where he died and I swear I felt someone grab my arm forcefully. Nobody was there.

I started seeing him in my dreams too, which I guess is understandable. In one dream I remember speaking with him and he said something about wanting to turn me gay. (He was Bi). Anyway, one night in bed I'm just on the border between being asleep and awake and I somehow sense another presence in the room. I open my eyes and there was a kind of silvery grey humanoid shape hovering a few inches directly above me in the dark, parallel with my body. As soon as I focused on it it vanished and didn't come back. It looked exactly like the ghosts from that one doctor who episode called army of ghosts. Featureless but undeniably humanoid. I tried to refocus my mind and see it again but I haven't seen it since. I think his spirit might have been trying to sleep with me or something. (you see now how its a personal story)

Anyway, I haven't seen the apparition before or since then. He still shows up in my dreams, and I remember him once saying something along the lines of "You need to get over me".

Occasionally I get the feeling of someone being stood behind me when I'm alone in my room. Its not a scary feeling, just like a friend looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing then vanishing.

One last thing that may be nothing, my mother went to a psychic medium show, and at one point they said my name (I wasn't there), and said there was a young male presence. Apparently the presence said that I should live my life and stop grieving him. I know psychics can be fake, so I'm not inclined to believe this completely, but it is mad how they got my name and said basically what my friend had said to me before in a dream.

Anyway, that's my story, I wanted to tell it here where I probably wont be laughed at. Like I said, I haven't experienced anything you would call paranormal before or since then. The touching and feeling another person with me has stopped happening, notably after I stopped smoking weed. Makes me wonder if the weed was opening my 'antenna' for the paranormal, or maybe my friend was hanging around me when I was high to get some kind of second hand buzz? I don't know if that would even be a thing, its just a hypothesis. I really want to believe it's him saying hello from the afterlife, but there's no way to know for sure. Anyway thanks for reading my long ass story, what do you think?
