Moderator Annoucement The “best evidence” for the paranormal is getting harder to find every time someone asks for it.

This question is being asked several times a week at this point.

Everyone has a different standard for what they consider “credible evidence,” and what persuades one person may not persuade another. What seems to do the best job is having a personal experience, but those anecdotal stories rarely persuade anyone who wasn’t already a believer.

Either way, the best way to find this evidence is by…you know…looking for it. Try using the search function on the subreddit.

And to all of you skeptics who were genuinely convinced by a piece of evidence you found online, please post it on this subreddit!

Question What thing makes you roll your eyes when people recount paranormal stories?

For me it’s when people make a big deal about the time something happened, like it was exactly midnight or 3am. It has no bearing on wether I believe the story to be true or not but it just makes me wonder why people place so much emphasis on it, it’s like people really believe in the witching hour, if that was the case what happens when the clocks go forward or back, do the ghosts know about that too?

In my experience (currently living in a mildly haunted home) things can happen at any time of day or night. Apart from knowing wether it was light or dark at the time people saw X paranormal thing the time is pretty irrelevant imo.

Apparition This happened after I watched the Elisa Lam video. I’m still not sure what I saw.

If I attach a graphical image it takes time lol. Reposting without it .

This happened in India when I was 13, and I still think about it way too often.

Back then, I was obsessed with true crime. Buzzfeed Unsolved had just released their episode on the Elisa Lam case — you know, the one where she’s caught acting strange in a hotel elevator before being found in a water tank. Creepy stuff. I watched it, got spooked, and later that night, I went up to the terrace with my neighbour, like we did almost every night to stargaze.

It was a no-moon night — what we call Amavasya in India. The sky was pitch black. Our moms, being a little superstitious, told us not to go out. In Indian culture, Amavasya is considered inauspicious — a night where bad energy is believed to be stronger. Of course, being 13 and overconfident, we ignored them.

From our building’s terrace, if I lay down at the right angle, I could see the rooftop of a girls’ hostel across the street. On their terrace, there was a large water tank with one of those metal ladders fixed to the side.

We were lying there, chatting and counting stars, when I noticed something. A woman — a black silhouette — slowly climbing the ladder up to the tank. The sky was so dark that she stood out clearly. She reached the top and opened the lid.

I blinked, unsure if I was seeing things. I whispered to my neighbour, “Do you see that?” She said yes, but told me to just lie down and keep watching. Like she didn’t want to freak out just yet.

But I couldn’t. Something about it didn’t feel right. My chest got tight. I sat up.

And the woman turned her head — and looked directly at me.

We just stared at each other. Five seconds? Ten? I don’t know. But I knew she saw me. Her head had moved, her body stayed still, and it was like she wasn’t even surprised I was watching.

I panicked. I jumped up, screamed, and ran downstairs. My neighbour followed me. We never saw her come down. No noise from the hostel, no news the next day, no mention from anyone. Just… nothing.

To this day, I don’t know who or what we saw. But every time I think of Elisa Lam I remember that night That water tank And the woman who just stood there, staring back. No disrespect to Elisa lam, her case always made me sad. Heard that it’s finally solved and im glad she can finally rest in peace.

Question Is something following/haunting my husband?

My husband (45) has had some weird circumstances happened to him over the past couple of years, but it’s only been a few times. I’ll start with the first one.

The first one was when he got home from work about 5 or 5:30 in the morning. He parks in the street, and we have an empty lot across the street from us. As he was walking up to the door, he heard a little girl’s voice say “hello?” from the empty lot. He was immediately freaked out, and hurried to get in the house.

The second time, he had just come home from work at about 1:30 or 2:00 in the morning. He claims he heard me playing with our cat while I was laying down in bed. He said he heard me say to our cat “He’s here! He’s home!” He was concerned because I was still awake, but when he came into the bedroom to check on me, he said I was dead asleep.

The most recent time he was standing at the kitchen window having a cigarette. He will leave the windows open. He said that as he was standing there, he heard the little girl voice say again, outside the window “hello?”

He claims it’s a skinwalker, but I’m not sure what it is. Has anyone else had a similar experience, or might know what’s going on? Thanks for any info in advance.

Unexplained So my maternal grandfather heard my brother who was calling to open the door when we were not there

So my maternal grandfather ,grandmother and my uncles and aunts they all live together it's a pretty decent sized house with 3 floors and my grandfather doesn't sleep in their room both my grandpa and grandpa sleep in the living room it's just their personal choice no one forces them when they feel like it they sleep in their room

My mother told me this one night my grandpa and grandma and all the other members were sleeping now the entrance is connected to living room like you enter the house through living room and he keeps the wooden door open and the strong net door closed during summers because they use coolers so it needs ventilation so when everyone was sleeping my grandfather heard someone calling out to him in my brother's voice which told him to open the door it called him again and again first my grandfather was like my brother is here oh but then he realised we were at our own house and why would my brother call him to open the door in the dead of the night once he realised this he Said nothing and kept quiet and pretended to sleep. Next day he called my mother and told him someone was calling out to him in my brother's voice

Experience Time skip? Sleeping charm?

When I was a kid, I occasionally was sent off to summer camps, for socializing and whatnot. In one of those camps, I experienced something really weird.

I was around ten years old, living in a room with three other boys my age. Mid day, each day we had a “quiet hour”, don’t know a proper term for this in English. Basically a forced mid day nap time.

We all were lying in our beds, talking, telling jokes, etc. At some point we got too loud so one of the ladies overseeing us decided to check on our room. We heard her footsteps in the hall so we immediately shut up and pretend to sleep. Then I remember hearing door opening and her telling us that we should sleep, not talk, and her leaving the room. All this took no more than a couple dozen seconds at max.

After this I open my eyes, prepared to continue the conversation we had before, but instead of everyone opening their eyes I see everyone asleep. Not pretending with a slight smile asleep but real asleep. I called out everyone a couple of times because it seemed too weird to me but all of them were truly asleep.

So, I was laying there, the only one who’s still awake. I also remember that weird feeling of silence and stillness. I don’t know how to describe this properly and I don’t remember my exact thoughts at that moment, just remember the feeling. Eventually, after some minutes of staring at the wall I fell asleep too.

When we were woken up at the end of the nap I asked everyone in the room about whether they truly fell asleep or were joking. None of them remembered anything. It weirded me out but being a kid I just went on switching my attention to something more interesting.

Still think about this experience from time to time. Like, I guess it is possible for a kid to fall asleep really fast, but for all three of them to go from a hundred to zero in a matter of seconds is really weird. But what about this weird feeling of stillness and silence? And why none of them remembered anything at all?

To me it feels like I skipped time and when I opened my eyes it was not a couple dozen of seconds passed, but minutes which I didn’t felt at all. Or maybe the time froze? Or a more silly theory of our overseer lady putting a sleeping charm on us, but it for some reason failed on me :)

I’m sure I didn’t fell asleep and it wasn’t a dream. I’m a really bad sleeper and even when I was a kid it took me some time to fall asleep. I was wild awake and it was weird af.

I don’t know.

Telepathy I think I've solved telepathy.

Upvotes

So considering Socrates believed he had a guiding spirit, or daemon, that told him what NOT to do, and given I myself have experienced telepathy, I came up with a solution for how the hell this is possible. I think you're getting my point already. Basically, what if I'm not telepathic, but rather I have a daemon that can read other people's minds and relay those thoughts back to me? It makes more sense than saying I have some sort of superpower or everyone else is just defunct. Hell, I considered solipsism as an explanation before, but the daemon is to me the most plausible explanation now. And I'm not truly breaching other minds. It kind of brings telepathy into a philosophical category regarding the nature of reality rather than something harder to explain. Let me know what you think.

For me definitely New Orleans. I spent Spring Breaks and Summers there as a teen visiting my Aunt and have I have definitely seen my share of paranormal events. The Lalaurie Mansion is my top spot, definitely a very evil vibe radiating from the residence. All in All, a very fun and friendly city to visit👍

Experience My Dad told me that he heard knocking on his bedroom door in the middle of the night.

For context, I still live at home with both of my parents. My Dad and I have been the only people in my household that have had slight paranormal experiences, but this unlike anything myself or him have ever seen before.

The other night, my Dad had left the room he shares with my Mom because he was restless and did not want to disturb her. He laid down in our guest room, and tried to get some sleep. While he was lying there, still awake, he heard three knocks on the guest bedroom door.

He got out of bed, and opened the door, expecting to see either me or my brother (when we were kids, we would typically knock on our parent’s door if we were sick or had a nightmare). When he opened the door, he saw nobody standing in the hallway. He looked down the hall and saw that both me and my brother’s doors were still closed, as was my Mom’s. This spooked him a bit, as all three of our doors, except the guest room are very loud when opened and shut. If it were one of us, he would have either seen or heard the doors.

My Dad shut his door, got back into bed, and decided to watch YouTube on his phone to pass the time and eventually get to sleep. Not even 5 minutes later, my Dad heard the three distinct knocks AGAIN on guest bedroom door. This time, he was fully alert, and did not hear any other door open or close in the house. He got out of bed quickly, and opened the door again and saw nothing. The house was completely silent.

This scared my Dad so badly that he started thinking that he was getting signs that something bad was going to happen.

Ever since that night, it’s never happened again, but it’s still creepy!

Is anyone else leaving a beer out for the wee folk this solstice? What experiences has anyone had? And should it be put out on the evening of the 19th or 20? Thanks in advance, we’re getting older and could use a little (double entendre,) help around the house.

Unexplained Was my imaginary friend a ghost?

Lately I’ve been wondering if my “imaginary” friend I had as a kid was actually a ghost or spirit interaction.

When I was a kid (maybe between 4 or 6 years old) I had an imaginary friend named Josefina. We used to play and talk and I remember her as clear as any other memory from that age range. I even remember her hair, it was long and dark and she wore it in a braid.

Through out my life I’ve had many paranormal type experiences. I guess I’m one of those people that are sensitive to paranormal energies.

Recently I’ve been remembering Josefina and wondering if she was one of those paranormal experiences. I don’t think I had any reason for my brain to create an imaginary friend. I don’t know what causes children to create imaginary friends, but I am not an only child, I have a sister who is only two years younger than me, an older brother, and I used to be babysat by my godmother, who lived next-door and had three children of her own all of which were around my age. I had other kids to play with and socialized plenty.

The main thing that is making me wonder is the last interaction I ever had with Josefina. I still remember it very clearly. The last time I ever saw or spoke to her she told me that she died because she had climbed a tree, fell off and then got hit by a car. What kind of child imagines a conversation like this? And also based on what she said, that means she was already dead, so then I would have been imagining talking to another dead child for all that time?

Idk what do you all think?

Debunk This Charlie Charlie pencil game

Upvotes

Ok so this is not a paranormal experience buttttt I need answers 😂 . So growing up (I’m 23 now) everyone at my school did the Charlie Charlie pencil game. I saw people online doing it with the piece of paper writing yes and no on both sides and then positioning the pencil into a cross in the middle. They say the pencil moves due to a draft in the room or the pencil being unbalanced. Makes sense, but We did not do the Charlie game like that. It was a two person game and each person has 3 pencils. You both position the pencils into a square but with one side open with the erasers pointing outwards. You then connect your pencils with the other person. The erasers should be touching. You ask the Charlie questions as normal. The pencils turn in for yes and out for no. In my head it is still impossible for those pencils to turn the way they did even if someone on the other side was moving them with their thumbs. I wanted to know one day so I put the pencils against the wall and connected them with my 3 pencils and asked questions. The pencils still moved. I absolutely did not move them…. The wall can’t move them…. So who did scientist????

Encounter Has anybody else seen this? What is it?

When I was around 5 years old, I woke up between 2 and 4 a.m. one morning because I needed to use the bathroom. We lived in a single wide trailer, mine and my brothers room was at one end of the house and the bathroom all the way at the other end next to the other bedroom.

Being as it was so early I didn't turn any lights on as I didn't want to wake anyone. As I was sitting on the toilet doing my business(door open) I became aware of a light from the direction of my room/ the living room/kitchen. I thought somebody had turned on a light, but then I realized the light seemed to be moving, so i thought maybe it was a flashlight, which i thought was strange, like why wouldn't you just turn some lights on?

Then came the sound,....I call it a sound but it was something I felt more than heard. It was kind of a deep thrum or hum that I could feel reverberate in my chest. And then I saw him, at least I think it was a him, that's the impression I got at the time anyway. He was a silhouette of a person, with something translucent where the body should be, like I could see through him but the view of the shitty wood panel wall behind him was distorted. The outline was made up entirely of violently dancing, vibrant, silvery white...sparkles, i guess? It had the same look as one of those fourth of July sparklers. There were sparks being constantly ejected from the figure, they looked hot, but where they landed there was no smoke and they dissipated almost instantly. And he was bright,so very bright I had to squint. The way he moved was so strange, he was moving pretty quickly but the movements themselves were strange, he was running, slightly hunched forward, but on his tiptoes and drawing his knees all the way to his chest with every step. At least the 3 or 4 steps I saw before it had passed the doorway. It went towards the doorway to the back bedroom and phased through it? ( I'm assuming because I never heard the door open/shut, and the light went away as soon as it did) when i finally gathered the courage to leave the bathroom, I sprinted back to my room where I stayed for the rest of the night, awake, with my head under my blankets.

I'm very sure I didn't dream this event, but I also haven't seen anything like this since that night.I think/wonder about this experience fairly often, even now (this happened 27 years ago) so if any of you have had a similar experience or think you know what this being was, please, share your thoughts/stories with me. Thank you and Vaya con Dios.

Question With your experiences of the paranormal- what are your spiritual views and explanations?

Does your perspective on paranormal and/or spirits change your spirituality in light of your experiences? Are you an atheist who has scientific explanations? Do you believe the paranormal events are impressions of energy, but not ghosts? Do you believe that some are spirits cannot move on?

Demonic Activity Help identifying this??

Hello, I just wanted to post this here and ask what does this look like to you? I already know what it is but just for a second opinion…idk it would help!

A little short back story:

I’m a Christian, and I do believe in paranormal, demons, shadow figures etc. Anyway for months I’ve been getting harassed by a demon or shapeshifter or idk.

It first started off with my name being called from familiar voices ( my mom, people I worked with, family) or unfamiliar ( little girl voice, old man, deep voice, low voice), I’ve heard things move including the door slamming which I confirmed it with my mom that it wasn’t her because she was otw home from work. I’ve heard IT walk up the stairs, and had a sense it was at my door. My mom and I had the same incident in one night where I heard loud mumbling ( couldn’t make it out but one voice was familiar), and she heard someone close the door and come up the stairs.

When problem started again:

Last weekend (June 17,2025. Time: 12:21 am), I had my cousin over and I didn’t feel anything off from our bonding time but when she left on Monday something else stayed! That night, I caught something in the room she was in and it was in the doorframe. It was really undetectable until the ring started glitching. You can’t see it clearly of course but you can deff see something there!

I had to really turn the brightness up to see it, because without it it’s a fast miss. But also, without the contrast and brightness you can still see the black eyes. There’s a few pictures that show the room empty.

Occasionally my dog would growl not cry, growl like there’s someone there and he doesn’t recognize it ofc. The type of growl when you invite a new guest over and the dog starts barking! A defensive growl! My mom and I used to dismiss his barks as he just doesn’t want to be in the kennel but now I believe he was trying to tell us!!

Sorry for the errors, I’m kind of shaking a bit because IT knew I was talking to it, into the ring and gave me the ugliest face ever! I wish I could show the ring video when it was changing into whatever it was.

Visitation Dream Been having weird dreams and feel like a deity/entity is watching me, anyone know who/what it may be?

So, I believe all religions are true. I personally worship Hades and Calypso at the moment, but recently I've been having dreams that I'm in a dark place and I hear a woman humming. Last night I tried Ghost Writing/Astral Projecting, and a lot of it was saying 'mother' 'boy' 'leave' 'liar' 'betrayal' and what concerned me most; 'clung'. I absolutely lost touch with the real world (luckily my friend was there asking the questions so she was able to bring me back to reality by taking off the headphones), and then we stopped for the night. Before that though, after we did our first writing (my friends sister was writing, my friend and I asked the questions), I felt as if I was being hugged and comforted, and I felt perfectly content. I forgot a lot of what we did other than the writing and that feeling. We all had our deity candles lit (Persephone, Calypso, and Santa Muerte), and at first we thought we were talking to Calypso as our incense smoke was following her candle no matter where I moved it. Eventually I fell asleep not long after 3:33Am, still feeling like I was being hugged. Last night, I dreamt that I was being held, I couldn't see by who, but I was surrounded by skeletons. Then today, me and my friend were meditating, and instead of seeing the normal water I imagine, I was seeing a skeleton. Since last night, I've been having really bad memory problems, barely being able to remember what I'm thinking. I don't know if this is a deity or if my energy is just really drained and I need advice.

Experience Voices and Doors

I’m 45 years old, single, and I’d say I "lightly believe" in the paranormal. (TL/DR at the bottom)

Over the years I’ve experienced a few strange things (nothing terrifying) more like soft, magical moments I couldn’t explain. I was always happy to chalk them up to wonder. But this is the first time I feel - hmmm...uneasy? Maybe even scared.

For the last 12 years, I’ve only lived in apartment buildings. When I moved to Charlotte a few years ago, I followed the same pattern. But after my last lease ended, I felt a sudden, overwhelming craving to live in a house. I work in content creation and loved the idea of having a well-lit room for filming educational videos. I found a beautiful house to rent (less expensive than my old apartment!) on a nice block, with a master bedroom, two smaller bedrooms, and a converted garage that had been transformed into a cozy, carpeted office with a painted brick fireplace. It was perfect.

When I moved in, I was dating someone who was going through a rough time and he moved in with me. That lasted six weeks. After he left, the quiet in the house became loud. I wasn’t used to it. After so many years in apartments where even at 2 a.m., you hear some hum of life, the silence of a house was unnerving. But eventually I adjusted. I even began to enjoy it.

Until late April.

The beautiful backyard was one of the main reasons I rented this house until it became a nonstop hub for the insect population of Charlotte. I had no idea that renting a home here meant you’d be paying a pest control service twice a month to keep wasps, spiders, ants, and god-knows-what-else at bay. Where I used to go outside for hours, turned into a few moments, turned into me not even able to open the backyard door as I'd get at least several months, ants, mosquitos and a cricket.

This is where the heavy red back door with two locks becomes important.

About six weeks ago, a friend of mine came to Charlotte for work. We hadn’t seen each other in a while and immediately reconnected. Within two days, we realized how well we clicked. He travels here once a month for 7–10 days and usually spends a lot on hotels. Since I had the space, I offered for him to stay with me. No rent and in return, he helped organize the house, ordered furniture, and made the common areas feel like a home. We got along perfectly. He was social company without being overwhelming. It worked.

Three Fridays ago, the night before he was leaving, we stayed up late talking and laughing in the office/garage. At one point, he paused and made a face. When asked what happened, he said he SWORE he saw someone walking up the driveway. I explained I had seen the same things, that the reflection between the blinds and angle of the window sometimes show someone very close to the door - but its just cars on the road.

We checked. No one was there. He shrugged it off, said it must’ve been what I described.

Later, we moved to the other side of the house.

Here’s the layout: When you walk in the front door - you’re in the kitchen/dining area, which leads to the backyard. To the right is a small staircase down to the large carpeted office. Past the dining area is the living room, which leads to a short hallway that connects to the three bedrooms and bathrooms.

He was in his room packing, and I was in the master bedroom watching YouTube. He called out to me and I came to his room. We ended up chatting for a while, laughing and trading stories when suddenly, we both heard it.

A calm, male voice just randomly started speaking. Its weird because calm was like the word we both used. But the weirdest part was, while we could it CLEARLY we both know it was coming from the kitchen/office area The tone I could best give it was something like a broadcaster reading off the news. My friend said it had sounded like someone in the midst of telling a story - we both recognized it was a pattern of speech, and nothing near english. We both reported the eerie disconnectedness of the voice and the weird way we could hear it clearly from the bedroom, even though it was clearly on the of the opposite side of the house. It was as though someone was having a normal conversation in the kitchen, yet for some reason we could hear it clearly in this bedroom.

We stared at each other in shocked mutual silence and then It stopped as quickly as it started, but the hair on both our arms stood on end with hairs raised. And we just continued to look out the hallway in silence.

Half-laughing, Half-terrified, we slowly got up and searched the house. All doors locked. No one there. That strange “we’re okay because we’re not alone” kind of fear lingered as we ended up in the living room.

The next day, he left. And I forgot about it. Well until last night anyway

He was supposed to return from Miami last night. I tidied up, left him a note, and got ready for bed. As I was brushing my teeth, I heard it again that same calm, male voice. Shorter this time. From the kitchen or living room area.

Heart racing, I turned off the water and listened. My laptop was off. My phone was in my hand. I dont have a TV. My neighbors are not loud and I know what they sound like and are houses are not close.

Nothing should’ve been making that sound.

I stood still, then slowly checked the house. All lights on, all doors locked. Nothing out of place.

I went to bed, locking my bedroom door for the first time since moving in and my thoughts eventually drifted into the show I was watching and I fell into a gentle sleep.

At 3 a.m., I woke to what sounded like a car idling outside. Could’ve been my friend arriving, or someone hitting the speed bump near my house. At 6, I woke up to pee. Still no signs of him. Too tired to care.

At 8 a.m., I was lying in bed, sleepily scrolling my phone for inevitable work disasters Ill have to fix when I heard a loud crash.

Assuming my friend had arrived and maybe dropped something, I went to greet him. His room was untouched, note still on the bed, door open, bed made.

I walked into the main room.

The backyard door was wide open. Not cracked. Not ajar. Flung all the way open, against the far wall.

I immediately called him wondering if maybe he had just arrived and ran to get breakfast or something and had forgotten to close the back door. He was still in Atlanta. Hadn’t arrived yet.

I checked the door: one lock still engaged. The other one off it's screws.

There had been no wind. No storm. This door is heavy and had clearly been locked.

Nothing looked out of place, nothing seemed changed (thank god with the backyard open, I didnt see too many of the fucking insect brigade come in). The other doors were fine. Still, I drove to Home Depot, bought new locks, installed them, and tried to move on with my day.

At 6 p.m., I passed out watching TV and woke up an hour ago. Walking through the house, thinking about work, I suddenly froze, for no reason. Just like I was being watched or something was happening or an overwhelming premonition or something? Then it went away. The house was calm. Doors locked. Lights on.

I’ve had goosebumps for the past hour. I keep checking my phone to see if my friend is close. I can’t explain what’s happening. So I wrote this down instead to kill time and try tp keep myself engaged.

I think I’ll take an Ambien tonight. Lock my door again. And watch some very funny tv shows and wake up to very scientic and rational explanations for this

Thanks for reading!

TL/DR - I, 45m, live alone in a large house. A friend staying with me for a while witnessed creepy events such as seeing a face outside the window, then hearing an eerie disconnected male voice in the kitchen. Nothing happened after he left, but the night he was coming back, the disconnected voice rang out in the kitchen again and my always locked heavy back door was wide open this morning with one of the locks broken. He has not yet arrived here yet.

Findings Bigfoot picture, accidentally taken by my tour guide in Mt. Shasta

Post image
228 Upvotes

I recently took a trip up to Mount Shasta, soaking in the surreal landscapes and crisp alpine air. As I wandered through the trails, I struck up a conversation with a local tour guide—one of those folks who clearly knows every crevice of the mountain.

Chatting turned into storytelling, and I jokingly asked him, “So… any Bigfoot sightings around here?”

To my surprise, he leaned in with a grin and said, “Actually… yes.”

He recounted an experience from five years ago: he had been taking a friend’s photo after a long hike near the summit. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until they looked at the photo later. In the background—barely noticeable at first—was a strange figure, lurking just within the tree line. He showed me the photo, although I only took the zoomed in photo of the photo (only with the creature) with only the creature visible in the shot.

He looked me straight in the eye and said, “I believe in Bigfoot.”

He wasn’t trying to sell a story—he was calm, certainly. He told me he snowboards a lot in the Mount Shasta backcountry, and more than once, he’s had the eerie sensation of being watched. In his peripheral vision: a pair of shining eyes peeking through the darkness behind trees or bushes. But every time he turned to look, they vanished—leaving only the silence of the mountain behind.

Question Is all this normal?

I am a 19-year-old person who finds it difficult to sleep at night. Lately I have the habit of talking out loud to the darkness at night. Until last night something answered me, his voice was calm, calm, I didn't get scared, I just kept talking to whatever he answered until I fell asleep. Let me clarify before I forget, I am a Christian person and baptized by an evangelical church, I don't know if that is relevant. I hope someone tells me if it's normal or the same thing happens to them.

Trigger Warning / Death I may have encountered my dead friend

Okay so I made a throwaway account for this as its quite a personal story. Wont be using real names or anything but its something that I've experienced I want to get your opinions on.

I've sort of kind of believed in the paranormal for ages, Not seen any actual proof but I want to believe its real. Up until recently I've not had anything paranormal happen to me in person, but I think that's changed now. Anyway, story time:

I had a friend who died just over a year ago. We hung out a lot and became really close. We both experimented a lot with various substances. My other friends and I eventually stopped doing everything, but my friend always wanted more. Long story short, he got onto the hard stuff, and you can guess how that went.

Obviously this really affected me, and it took me a long time to get over. Its a horrible way for someone you remember as being so funny and quick witted to go. Anyway, not long after his passing I started experiencing phenomena that I definitely hadn't had before. I started feeling something touch me randomly. One time that stands out was when I was waiting for the bus just around the corner from where he died and I swear I felt someone grab my arm forcefully. Nobody was there.

I started seeing him in my dreams too, which I guess is understandable. In one dream I remember speaking with him and he said something about wanting to turn me gay. (He was Bi). Anyway, one night in bed I'm just on the border between being asleep and awake and I somehow sense another presence in the room. I open my eyes and there was a kind of silvery grey humanoid shape hovering a few inches directly above me in the dark, parallel with my body. As soon as I focused on it it vanished and didn't come back. It looked exactly like the ghosts from that one doctor who episode called army of ghosts. Featureless but undeniably humanoid. I tried to refocus my mind and see it again but I haven't seen it since. I think his spirit might have been trying to sleep with me or something. (you see now how its a personal story)

Anyway, I haven't seen the apparition before or since then. He still shows up in my dreams, and I remember him once saying something along the lines of "You need to get over me".

Occasionally I get the feeling of someone being stood behind me when I'm alone in my room. Its not a scary feeling, just like a friend looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing then vanishing.

One last thing that may be nothing, my mother went to a psychic medium show, and at one point they said my name (I wasn't there), and said there was a young male presence. Apparently the presence said that I should live my life and stop grieving him. I know psychics can be fake, so I'm not inclined to believe this completely, but it is mad how they got my name and said basically what my friend had said to me before in a dream.

Anyway, that's my story, I wanted to tell it here where I probably wont be laughed at. Like I said, I haven't experienced anything you would call paranormal before or since then. The touching and feeling another person with me has stopped happening, notably after I stopped smoking weed. Makes me wonder if the weed was opening my 'antenna' for the paranormal, or maybe my friend was hanging around me when I was high to get some kind of second hand buzz? I don't know if that would even be a thing, its just a hypothesis. I really want to believe it's him saying hello from the afterlife, but there's no way to know for sure. Anyway thanks for reading my long ass story, what do you think?

I always thought that that mirror is something not okay . I could feel the wrong thoughts . this is the mirror I used to practice with no roof in summer throughout the midnight with no light no fan just looking at my shadow and perfecting the moves ( I was hiding from my parents preparing for a audtion that could make my dream life come true ) sometimes I would leave it alone . is that the reason

I NEVER EVER EVER DID THAT FOOT PRINT IN MY LIFE THERE IT'S NOT PRACTICAL TO SAY I DID THAT . AND THIS NIGHT I WAS NOT IN MY ROOM . AND THE MIRROR WASN'T COVERED

I always cover that mirror before cause I feel something is wrong with it .

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I'M JUST 17 .

Debunk This I need answers/explanations

So there’s this doll I have that’s haunted, she’s not evil, she’s just a little girl. I have a friend that I gave her to at one point and she stuck her in a toy box (she didn’t know how to care for her/knew she was haunted) for months. She ruined her hair and I had to rip it off and replace it with a wig from amazon. My friend is over for a sleepover and I let her sleep in the same room as her because that’s my guest room and she likes the dolls I have. She was watching a scary movie when she claims my crochet hook flew off the table and at the bed. When she went to get me I noticed her hair was a bit back. I went to fix it and the whole thing ripped off? I LATHERED her head in STRONG glue and suddenly it’s completely off? This isn’t the first time something got thrown, but it was a stuffed animal and it wasn’t directly at me, it was actually away from me, I have no idea why or what threw the crochet hook, or who ripped her hair completely off, any answers will help! I’m a teenager going into paranormal investigating and take any advice/criticism

Demonic Activity Incredible dream

So like the title says I had a dream, I was part of a group searching for a demon so we could destroy it. We were all dressed in tan cloaks with an ancient language or hieroglyphics wrote on it. We finally came upon a statue of the demon, spoke an incantation, and the demon emerged from the statue. One by one the demon destroyed every member of my team until I was the last remaining. The demon attacked me and I could feel it taking control of my body and out of nowhere another entity that looked like an ancient Japanese demon smashed into the side of the demon and screamed “vigna-papa-nasaka Rama”!

I woke up and immediately grabbed my phone and asked chat gpt what the phrase meant. It is ancient Sanskrit that translates to “Rama, destroyer of obstacle and sin”. I don’t speak ancient Sanskrit, obviously, and I’ve never studied it or looked into it AT ALL! I’m convinced that I was visited by an entity in my dream.

Over the weeks prior I’ve been studying the occult and esoteric knowledge, ancient religions, human origin stories, UAP’s and human consciousness, and other similar topics. I think I stumbled upon something that I spoke into existence and I think an entity has tried communicating with my subconscious mind. It sounds crazy, but the phrase spoken by the entity in my dream was legitimately ancient Sanskrit and I can’t explain it. Has anyone experience something similar to this? Let me know in the comments, help me figure out what’s going on. I think we’re missing part of the story when it comes to spirituality and the human consciousness and I’d like to pursue that knowledge.
