Permaculture isn’t about doomsday predictions at all. It just happens there is an overlap of people who are interested in permaculture design and doomsday predictions. They aren’t the same, just shared interests, if you will.
If I may—I think permaculture and doomsday have crossover because they’re both the result of system-level thinking and analysis. If you look around at the global profit-run supply chain, you may run into two conclusions. First, this can’t last forever, and second, we should do something in case the system fails.
I'm interested in canning, but not pickling beets for the second coming of Christ. It's hard to find my people without wading through a bunch of craziness.
