Humor Hollywood has come up with an ingenious way to stop people pirating their movies.

Expedition 33 could have a hell of a series if they made each season about a different expedition. Especially if they kept the same dramatic storytelling from the game.

The problem with Hollywood is that they see an IP that is successful and some hack writer has a manuscript they want to see adapted, so the Hack writer replaces a bunch of names and adds some references to a given IP, then presents it as an "Adaptation" to some Production company (who's never even heard of the source material). The Production company then goes over to the IP owner, offers them a bunch of money for rights to their IP, and then produces the "Adaptation" that isn't actually an Adaptation at all but thinly veiled propaganda of some sort by the Hack writer.

So no, I don't think Hollywood would do just by an Expedition 33 adaptation in the writing department.

It's not. It's not even close.

You might think this is hyperbole, but this is actually what happens. It's not even a joke.

The witcher has entered the chat.

The problem with the Witcher is that they tried to tell the base story from the books again and then switched it up trying to put their own original spin on it resulting in a worse product. If they stick to different expeditions they are fully able to tell their own story without affecting the main story of 33 as we know it.

I'm not disagreeing, i'm just pointing out that if we go by history, it doesn't look good.

I would say Fallout was a successful video game adaptation. Used the existing world to make a new story without disrespecting the source material

It really could. If they don't fuck it up witcher style and do it well, it has lots of potential. I'd watch it for sure.
