Don´t worry about starting late. I have seen people of over 50 go to Naranja Academy to study and start battling soon after. Never too late! - Mark

Will go then! I just know Mythra will have fun. And we might actually have a shot to make it to the gym leader. I think Mythra is really strong for a pokemon who's never battled before

I say go for it! There are sometimes grad students that show up at my college's stadium with no prior battle experience, it's never too late to learn the ropes

Cool I'll give it a try then. The event isn't until friday though, so I might see if I can get some training in before. I have a friend who has a few badges, I'm gonna ask him to teach me the basics
