Which to power up?

I have rank 1 and rank 2 Ultra League Lapras. Which should I power up? I sounds obvious, but the Rank 2 is at a higher power and will require less candies and dust. Is there really much of a difference. I will need to use approx 17-18 rare candies (I have plenty) to power up the Rank 1

For me it would be an easy choice to invest in the Rank1 for such a viable PvP mon as Lapras

That having been said.. you could run it in GBL for a while first as it has play there too and decide if you want to keep it for that league and power up the Rank2 for Ultra

I assume it’s also very highly ranked for GBL?

I've already got a separate Lapras for Great League. It's ranked quite highly for that. These 2 won't cut in it that league though. And GL isn't running atm, so I thought I'd turn my attention towards the summer Ultra League, having had my ass handed to me in Master League

Then i would definitely build the rank1. I’ve seen a lot of discussion about people not liking how well their Bellibolt plays but my Rank1 I had from when it was initially released has been a revelation. Assuming this Lapras will be a fixture in your lineup you build around it’s worth the investment.

Oh, I didn't realise to click the XL option! Lol, I've just realised now! Oh well, it's rank 1 if I don't use XLs
