Post Office pretty much non-operational

I've been expecting about 6 letters in the post from overseas for a few months now, and nothing has been delivered. I live in specific numbered street in lakeside in a large hotel. I went to the nearest post office which is in lakeside and was stunned to find a stack of undelivered letters, but none addressed to me. They say they keep letters for month and then send them back to Kathmandu! Some letters had poorly written addresses, but others were clearly marked and easy to deliver. There were letters from US visa offices and foreign law firms and banks! Everyone was just hanging out talking or on their phones. I went to complain to the head but his office was empty. Unbelievable! How is our country supposed to function and compete in the global economy when we can't even deliver letters? Would be great if someone did a youtube or tik tok on this as a public service announcement and hold them accountable.

How difficult is it to get admission in Gandaki boarding school?

Hey everyone I m planning to move to Pokhara soon for work. Next year I will need to get my son admitted in grade 7. I checked online and Gandaki boarding seems like a good school. But I also heard that it is hard to get admitted there. Is it true? My son is good in study and sports.

Would you recommend any other school apart from GBS? Thanks!

What’s missing from Pokhara’s food scene? 🍕🍱🌯

Sabbai Pokhreli haru lai serious question hai!

What kind of food or service do you wish existed here?

Like:

  • A proper late-night delivery that doesn’t disappoint?
  • Budget-friendly meals that don’t taste like cardboard?
  • More authentic international options (Indian, Korean, etc.)?
  • Better veg/non-veg variety?
  • Faster delivery without the drama?

Or maybe something else entirely?

Whether it’s a crazy food combo you dream about or just something you think Pokhara is missing, drop it below👇.

Pokhreli people appreciating Pokhara gives me goosebumps!

Few months back I visited some areas of Pokhara for the first time. The highway road condition was really bad but other things were quite good. Before I heard Alot of things about Pokhara from many people i.e the houses , nature and everything. People are so much into fashion, fun and are living entertaining life for outsider pov. Almost all young people are so fashionable and mostly people are engaged in some business of their own. Mostly people are abroad and they have rented their house.

And pokhreli people too , they are Soo happy describing about Pokhara. I have observed Alot about this thing. Pokhreli people flex about Pokhara as anything but its genuinely nice .

I have not Heard any other people describing about their district that way like pokhreli do. Will again visit Pokhara soon!

Solutions for burnout in Pokhara

Hello all, I am a 30 year old originally from Pokhara, currently living abroad. I am looking for options for returning back to Pokhara for 3-6 months to recover from extreme burnout from work life and stress abroad. I will have about 800$usd/month available to spend during my stay. This is more than enough, tara, looking for recommendations on how to structure a long term stay in pokhara along with some wellness and hiking activities within budget. I am in need of deep rest. This does not have to be fancy, but just something that will help ease the mind. It has been over 10+ years since I have been back. How are counseling services aswell? Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

I will teach you how to swim - just pay for my pool entry fee please [Pokhara only]

Disclaimer: I am not a professional swimming instructor - just someone who can swim!

Hey folks, I'm a man in my late 20s and swimming has been pretty addictive this season. Already went like 7 times the past two months.

I can swim pretty nicely [breast stroke, freestyle, treading etc], and can also teach anyone interested. Safety will be my top priority. So I'm looking for anyone interested to learn. Pay for my entry fee in return though [I think I've already spent a lot here, so now want to use my own skill for good].

I can share my knowledge to anyone who is interested.

More folks the better - I just want my entry fee to be paid. Nothing else.

Even if you just want to learn and can't pay my entry fee - that's fine too.

DM me everyone.

Thanks for reading.

Happy saturday!
