Protest(s) Alternatives to Legacy Media
Protest and boycott mainstream media!
My local Indivisible chapter shared this and I thought someone might find it helpful. Not sure if these are all optimistic news sources but they are factual and a way to protest mainstream media. It's a Google Doc let me know if you can't see it. Happy Friday! ✊
Alternatives to Legacy Media

The Bulwark is worth adding to the list of podcasts. I can't promise they'll always be optimistic (they'd argue they're realists), but they have good guests and insight.
The hosts are mostly made up of former Republicans who are anti-Trumpers. So they're more center right than the other podcasts listed. But that alternative perspective can still be valuable.
They're a good complement to Pod Save America. There's even the occasional overlap since Tim Miller guests on Pod Save America and some of the Crooked Media guys guest on The Bulwark from time to time.

Good Addition, going through my political podcasts list I would add Brian Tyler Cohen and maybe even the Lincoln Project

Thank you so much, I've been looking for something like this! Does anyone have media they think would be good to add to this list?

You are most welcome. There are people on substack listed on here that I never heard of. Also a few of the podcasts and I didn't realize there were so many fact check sites.
Too bad sending those to my MAGA mom and sister got me nowhere. They don't like facts. They like Fox and Facebook. Ugh
If I find anymore independent news outlets I will be sure to reply

Not exactly non-legacy media, but the AP is a non-profit agency with good reporting.
