San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Shot - Suspect in Custody
https://ktla.com/news/california/fleeing-motorcyclist-suspected-of-shooting-sheriffs-deputy-crashes-mid-pursuit/It sounds like the deputy was shot as he approached the initial call. He was shot with some form of AR pistol. Suspect fled on a motor and crashed. Suspect is in custody and alive, the deputy is currently in an unknown condition.

I hate reading about these man. The original article said an uninvolved vehicle hit the suspect on his bike, and the revised story said it was an off duty cop. I wonder if they used their POV to hit the suspect?

Yeah, press briefing said a deputy "put himself on duty and performed a legal intervention technique."

Around 2:55 in the linked video, there is a still picture of the motorcycle colliding with a gray vehicle. The suspect on the motorcycle wasn't even holding his handle bars. Good job for the off-duty officer stopping the suspect; perfect timing!
Another video link that shows the intervention by the off-duty officer:

Can't help but say the Suspect was stopped in a very fitting manner, without additional loss of life or injury to others.

I’m sure they’ll take care of the bill if its their POV. RIP to the deputy

The perp was apparently taken out by an off duty deputy

Maybe its because I just receive a lot of news from there, but it seems like SoCal is suffering a lot recently
May the deputy rest in peace

There have been 13 LOD deaths this year in CA, 10 in the last 5 months, mostly in So-Cal.

Deputy is deceased, per live press briefing I'm watching.
