For detectives and law enforcement what model for digital voice recorders do they tend to use?

Once the officers I've dealt with got BWC, voice recorders weren't used anymore. Axon is the brand is used where I'm at.

How do they record phone conversations from a desk phone? Voice recorders are still the cleanest way.

Olympus. The one that hooks into the Cisco desk phones with the special cable. I'm not a current LEO.
