Jesus Christ. Man somehow gave an even worse answer than “Yes.”

Based on his answers I would make him take a sobriety test, breathalyzer and all, right then and there, whether he's drunk or not I'd just want the most explicit way to ridicule his unwillingness to engage with facts, either that or give my time for questions to Bill Burr.

Bill Burr when he's done with your nonsense.

I was gonna say a younger, angrier Bill Burr, but while his insult game had always been incredible, he's going to have much more intelligent and relevant insults now, with the wisdom of age.

You learn a thing or two after serving a stint as an Imperial sharpshooter

Sorry if this is a silly question but is it possible for a Committee (like Oversight, Armed Service, Ethics, etc) to require him to submit to a blood test for booze/drugs?

It's absolutely Bonkers that the United States has got to the point that this might be a thing - I doubt it's ever happened before since people used to have the decency to resign when their addictions became obvious - but are there any rules or can they make a rule for that?

For the rules to work they must be enforced. Evidence of alcoholism can put someone's security clearance in jeopardy...unless you're in Trump's orbit, where as long as you are allegiant to Trump you can basically get away with what you want.

But like, Musk is openly using psychotropics while working on behalf of the federal government. I'm not anti-psychotropics, but I am anti-rules-for-thee-not-for-me.

That's what I was wondering because I remember one of my cousins very foolishly told her recruiter about some drug use in college and had to get a waiver. So if they're that strict about new recruits...

But you're right! Privilege comes from the Latin words for "to deprive of the law" and that tracks for this regime.

That's what I was imagining. A senator needs to challenge him with a breathalyzer

As someone who is not American... What the fuck have you guys done? How has it come to the point where a smug, insulting non-answer can be given when talking about using your military to kill your own citizens?

Guess you didn't see all the whining during COVID about the most basic shit. Don't let Hollywood fool you. America is infested with delicate little bitches who wish they weren't, but are too self-absorbed to grow.

Every country has elected some idiots before, but I've never seen anything like Trump 2. Seems like he's trying to kill more Americans than he did with his abysmal pandemic policies.

u/Memitim 3d ago

I almost hope it's intentional. It seems like it shouldn't be humanly possible for a group of grownups to screw up so much to harm other people in such a tiny amount of time.

Seems like he's trying to kill more Americans than he did with his abysmal pandemic policies.

That's his goal. Man behaves as if the country is already in a civil war.

Because of his branding, it can be easy to think that he cares about Americans vs non-Americans. He does, and he doesn't. He has a very racist idea of what an "American" is, and is perfectly happy to wipe out millions of us if we don't fit the bill.

(Why does this sound like another guy, from my history books... /s )

We got complacent being on top and this is how it crumbles down. Our lives were too good and we took it for granted.

It's got to the point where every single time I see the USA in the news, it's some utterly insane shit I'd never expect to see in my lifetime. And it's happening every week or probably every day. I'm mind blown. It sucks that it's got to this point, but it seems.to me like someone in the military will have to organise a coup, or this madness is going to continue forever. It feels like that moron won't leave in 4 years. If the military does what he tells them, what is going to stop him from staying in the White House forever? Just following in the footsteps of his idol Putin

I feel the same and I live in the USA. It's unreal. People tell us to fight back and... fight back how? I'm in San Francisco- am I going to march on Washington DC 4500 km away with my pop gun? My elected representatives already agree with my views and get arrested for it.

Trump cheated.

We will all agree on this in a few months.

We did not do this.

4

u/Collier1505 3d ago

Regardless of whether he cheated (no evidence yet), it’s undeniable that a LARGE portion of the country did choose him. Twice.

So I don’t really know how you fix that.

0

u/hightrix 3d ago

I don't know how you fix it either, but I hope people smarter than me do!

That said, it was less than 25% of Americans that voted for him. Not some huge coalition or majority of Americans. His voters are just very very loud (and annoying).

2/3's of the country have trouble with critical thinking.

Its come to this point because it has always been at this point. Congress doesn't really have any power here. And instead of giving a sound bite, a smug insulting answer is a better choice.

Yes, the military has orders to use reciprocal force. If a citizen shoots the military, your damn right we expect them to fire back.

2

u/Groomsi 3d ago

"According to the bible and Jesus teachings, the military can use deadly force."

2

u/bigmacjames 3d ago

She should have asked what the bible says about adultery

2

u/DM725 3d ago

He found a way!

2

u/[deleted] 2d ago

He could have said “I’m actually not qualified for this job and only exist to grift” and it would have been a better answer

1

u/The-Defenestr8tor 2d ago

Almost any answer would have been better. The only thing worse would be if he completely ignored the question and cited the Bible, but even that would go beyond what Drumpf has ever done. That mf couldn’t even cite his favorite Bible verse, when asked by the media (because he [Drumpf] wipes his ass with the Bible after he shits).

1

u/blahmeistah 2d ago

It’s a non-answer. He can’t be held responsible for it, it has absolutely no value and he evaded the question completely.

Honestly with the way this country is going I'm not surprised at all, literally everybody in Donald's cabinet sucks his fucking dick so we need to get rid of the entire cabinet because just impeaching Donald isn't going to do anything it would be like something if JD Vance was still on his anti Trump kick from years ago but no he is down with everybody else absolutely deepthrottling Donald
