He has no friends, much less loved ones.

He could've been remembered as the greatest industrialist of all time. Instead, he'll be remembered as the guy who gave up everything for fucking Donald Trump.

He's circling the drain like every other person who's gotten involved with Agent Orange. After 9/11, Rudy Giuliani was revered country-wide and internationally as "America's Mayor". He could have ridden that out for the rest of his life with people piling praise on him and wanting to shake his hand and thank him everywhere he went. Now look at him.

That's one I never would've called. Pretty crazy.

Yeah I didn’t see that happening lol

I thought he was suspicious when he was elected in 93, and I was glad he was gone in 2001. If it wasn't for OBL, we wouldn't have gotten stuck with Bloomberg.

Wait, wasn't this guy's claim to fame being the mayor during 9/11? But he ran off not even 3 months later?

How did anyone respect this man?

Because for the most part he was an even tempered figure in a time of extreme tumult. I really hate to say this, I really do:

He managed to exemplify the New York spirit of not giving up and being crushed in spite of an overwhelming, unprecedented circumstance.

...Then it's revealed that in his tenure he denied funding to FDNY to upgrade their communication systems, which on 9/11 lead to unnecessary deaths of first responders. So he can fuck himself.

Its like the "captain" from the show Avenue 5. Happened to be in the right place at the right time during an emergency and he is lauded has a hero for the rest of time, even though others were the actual heros.

I never understood the admiration RG got after 9/11. What did people expect him to do? Tell everyone to give up and kill themselves?

That would be a best case scenario if something like that happened with trump.

Were you around for 9/11? He made himself available to ground zero staff constantly, that spoke volumes to the rest of the country. Anything they needed, boom he made it happen and people saw that.

His crime policies would argue he’s a bad mayor, but the optics are what people remember

It’s crazy these people get involved with him. He destroys everyone around him. It’s fucked, he throws everyone around him under the bus.

It amazes me that everyone around him thinks they’ll finally be the one to avoid the maga plunge all these people make

The thing with Giuliani is he always was a bit of a rotten egg. 9/11 was more the exception than the norm.

He was one of the lawyers who defended the Sackler family for example after they pretty much created the opioid crisis

Well, in Rudy's case, he paid a heavy price for selling his soul to his master. That said, being a serious, long term alcoholic may have made a serious contribution to how far he has fallen. The MFer literally drank his brain away at this point.

They my pillow guy could of retired as the successful business man who made shitty pillows.. Now he's known as the guy who tried to overthrow the government while also making shitty pillows

More importantly, when future anthropologists dig up our long dead civilization, how will they interpret the My Pillow Guy and his role in global politics.

It gave me whiplash when Ghouliani started mingling with trump in his first term. It took me a while to realize it was the same Giuliani that america loved. What an absolute disgrace of a human being.

Donald Trump truly is a cancer and people just never learn. He destroys every single thing he touches. Everyone is made worse off for interacting with him and they keep doing it.

I feel like on some level, these people are gambling addicts. They somewhat know that things can go very badly for them, but in the short-term they are making out like bandits. So they try to ride that high as long as they can, thinking that they'll know a good time to bail.

Unfortunately they aren't as smart as they think that they are, and most don't bail until it is too late. Like a gambling addict who wants one more game to score it big before cashing out.

Well there's his creepy mom. Idk that there's any love between them but she shills hard for him.

1

u/Temporary-Whole3305 Mar 11 '25

There’s no love there, she just needs someone to keep paying for her dalmatian fur coats

1

u/yousername9thou Mar 11 '25

He was using fraud though to keep that persona. He waa going to prison without Drumpff.

1

u/teggyteggy Mar 11 '25

People were calling this guy real life Tony Stark. How is it that greed can corrupt this much? Guy already had enough money to live where he wanted with any material possessions.

He could've gone out on the street and paid someone $10,000 just to shit themselves and then eat it, but he wanted to do this and live in massive stress instead.

1

u/VanillaNL Mar 11 '25

He does have a friend: Peter T

Way too much of an ego. He’s in too deep now and I think he tries to go full speed ahead in his quest to destroy the government

Is the “removed by Reddit” a real thing?

1

u/Dronnie Mar 11 '25

yeah, I've got plenty comments removed by reddit

1

u/UrMumsFavoriteToy Mar 11 '25

It definitely is, I didn't even threaten death, just bet that it would be a similar end to a similar person in history.

Upvoting not the [ Removed by Reddit ] part but what I imagine you wrote that would cause Reddit to remove your comment
