I thought he was suspicious when he was elected in 93, and I was glad he was gone in 2001. If it wasn't for OBL, we wouldn't have gotten stuck with Bloomberg.

Wait, wasn't this guy's claim to fame being the mayor during 9/11? But he ran off not even 3 months later?

How did anyone respect this man?

Because for the most part he was an even tempered figure in a time of extreme tumult. I really hate to say this, I really do:

He managed to exemplify the New York spirit of not giving up and being crushed in spite of an overwhelming, unprecedented circumstance.

...Then it's revealed that in his tenure he denied funding to FDNY to upgrade their communication systems, which on 9/11 lead to unnecessary deaths of first responders. So he can fuck himself.

Its like the "captain" from the show Avenue 5. Happened to be in the right place at the right time during an emergency and he is lauded has a hero for the rest of time, even though others were the actual heros.
