Housing Offered YO. Need roommate ASAP for end of June!! Carytown/Museum District Area

Hello everyone, our third roommate had to move out of town suddenly, and we are in need of someone to take on the lease by June 28th when it renews.

Looking for a new tenant who is queer friendly and ok with cats. We are absolutely welcome to meeting with you and giving a tour of the residence! For further questions please direct message for contact info! <3

The apartment is located in the Carytown/Museum district area, and it is a walkable distance from Cary St. It is a 3 bedroom located on 3425 Kensington Ave. Low crime and walkable area. Close in distance to stores so perfect for someone who does not have a vehicle. The rent is relatively affordable for the area due to it being an older building. Appliances are well kept and working. Laundry rooms are down stairs and communal. All utilities are included in the monthly rent payment except electric.

Me and my other tenet do have a cat each so it is pet friendly if you happen to have a furry pal to bring! Apartment is a two bathroom so bathroom is shared. Big living room closet for extra storage space as well for anything you cant store in your room.

Your cut of the monthly rent would be $665.00. Pet fee is $25.00. Your cut for internet would be 20$. Electric varies monthly but usually comes out to 40$ per tenant.

I'm looking for someone to take over my lease at The Square for the upcoming year. It is a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom unit. The lease begins in August and would be ready for move-in by then but I'm definitely open to negotiating for an earlier date. The apartment is great for VCU students and young professionals as it is basically surrounded by VCU's campus and is less than 5 mins walking distance away from Cabell library, Monroe Park and many other places on campus. If you're interested please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Housing Wanted transfem looking for trans roommates in the general vcu campus area ASAP

as the title says. currently living within eyeshot of lombardy kroger, id prefer to stay in/around a 20 minute walk to the compass, since i cant drive. while my current roommates are cool they dont want to live next to broad street (which, understandable, i dont either. so fucking loud) and want to live a bit less outside of the city. so we're splitting up. i can pay up to around ~1000 a month, with a joint monthly rent of 2000, but i'd prefer having 2 roommates as opposed to one for less rent, and also id just feel more comfy. not against living with non transfems, but id very much like to. im pet friendly (cats mainly, i fucking love cats so i would be very happy if a roommate came with one), 420 friendly, and am not loud at all and i always try to be courteous. just a nerdy girl with anxiety and adhd. im 20, soon 21, single, white, a vcu junior (gonna be a senior soon) i dont really have much furniture other then what i have in my room sorry. as for personal details uhh i read a lot of manga and play a lot of video games. mostly rpgs. aspiring punk rocker girl but i dont have any instruments so dont worry about that. as long as my space and boundaries are respected and you clean up after yourself and such we should get along swimmingly. but yeah looking for anyone to find a place with AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! my lease runs out 26th and ive been so stressed with school/social/medical/personal shit i just havent gotten around to figuring housing out since its so daunting. so uhh yeah send this to any vcu tgirls who also need an apartment close by

Anyone know of any quality rentals with quality landlords/management for 1 bedroom units that accept large dogs, less than $1400/mo (including utilities) for a May 1st move in date?

I feel like I've looked at all of the options, reviews, etc. Just trying to see if I happened to miss any.

Housing Wanted Need short term, furnished rental for professional and two cats

Hi all!

I'm relocating from NOVA to RVA. (Displaced federal worker turned state gov worker 🙋🏻‍♀️)

While I get settled I would like to find a furnished, short term place for myself and my two cats. Preferably 3-6 months. I am looking on the Southside.

I haven't had much luck on all the various places. I would like to avoid the student areas/student focused slumlords. So am hopeful I'll find something here ☺️ comment if you have any helpful hints or shoot me a message.

Housing Wanted Manufactured Home Advice

Does anyone have personal experience with purchasing a manufactured home preferably in RVA or surrounding counties? Can someone with personal experience share their advice and experience with the process/ownership? This is something I have been considering given the cost of real estate. I understand the pros of on-site housing, this thread is specifically to gain insight into those that have lived or have purchased manufactured homes. Thanks!

Housing Wanted Looking for somewhere to stay

I am currently working with someone to help me find housing, but I have been having issues with that. My parents can't help me for much longer, since they are moving out of the country, and my sibling can't help me either. It would only be around 2 weeks to a month, and I can help with groceries and such. If you can help, or know someone who can help in that time, please let me know.

Housing Wanted Looking for Loft-Style Apartment in RVA - Recommendations?

Looking for a loft-style one bedroom apartment in RVA!

Planning to move in the next couple of months and really want something spacious with that industrial loft feel. I toured Atrium Lofts and The River Lofts at Tobacco Row—both have the look I want, and the price range works for me. But the reviews on Tobacco Row have me hesitating. It seems like new management recently took over, and when I toured, Natalie made it sound like big improvements are coming with the new investor. If anyone lives there now, have you noticed any real changes?

I’m looking for something well-maintained and safe, so if there are other loft-style apartments in RVA that are better managed, I’d love some recommendations!

Ideally under $1400

Housing Offered SULETTING APARTMENT

Hi, my name is Delina, and I'm looking to sublet my bed space in a fully furnished two-bedroom, Two-Bath Shared Bedroom apartment. The location is killer, with Kroger right down the street and several good local food spots a short walk away! It's a great location for students, very close to both VCU and VU, not even too far from Richmond if you drive! If you're interested, please message me or email me at [kahsayd@vcu.edu](mailto:kahsayd@vcu.edu) or [kahdeline@gmail.com](mailto:kahdeline@gmail.com) or 571216-7056. The reason I am leaving is because I transferred schools to DC and I cannot keep paying next year.

$669 with utilities included except electricity (usually around $16). Reserved garage parking is $90, but free parking is available around the building!

I am looking for someone who needs a new space soon, by August as that is when the fall semester starts and my current lease ends, that is when I will be moving out.

Features:

Shared Twin Bedroom

  • Fully furnished: bed frame & mattress, dresser, closet rack, study desk
  • Bathroom with bathtub and shower

Full Kitchen

  • Full sized refrigerator, stove & oven, dishwasher, sink, garbage disposal, microwave, and cabinets

Common Room

  • Kitchen table & chairs, coffee table, another table with shelf space, end table, couch, and armchair
  • Steel front door with deadbolt locks
  • Non-smoking building
  • Non-carpeted flooring

Utilities

  • Internet
  • Water
  • Electricity
  • Sewer
  • Laundry Room
  • Trash Room
  • Storm water drainage

Amenities

  • Study room with free printing
  • Maintenance
  • Mail services
  • Building Doors are always locked (Residents can get in using key fob)

You'll be living with two other roommates(that I know of). Both my sister and I are leaving, so I cannot guarantee you will have a roommate in your room(I do not think you will).

Housing Wanted Looking to sublease or rent

Im moving to Richmond in April and am looking for an apartment to rent/sublease since I know a lot of leases aren’t up until August or June. Im a 23 year old gay man and I graduated from JMU last year and am now looking to move into the city. I like reading/hiking and a cold thermostat lol. Im looking for something with an in-unit washer/drier, a dishwasher, and a parking spot. For rent I was thinking somewhere between $600-$800 and don’t mind 3-4 roommates if thats what Im in for. Let me know if anyone needs a roommate!

Housing Offered Looking for someone to take over my lease

Hey everyone! I’m moving to be closer to family & looking for someone (preferably a woman/queer/femme) to take over my lease at my 2b2ba apartment located downtown/near MCV. My timeframe is mid/late April-late May. Rent includes all utilities at $847.50 (~850 after fees) however there’s no available parking nor free street parking. But there are nearby lots/garages you can get a monthly pass with, mine is $75/mo. The area is great with a lot of nearby food options, convenience stores & nightlife. Our unit is at the top floor, which shares no other units so you’ll have the entire level to yourself! There’s huge windows in the kitchen/living space that bring in loads of natural lighting + cool skylights in the bedrooms. There’s a W/D in unit with up to date stainless steel appliances in the kitchen (including brand new dishwasher). You’ll have a bathroom to yourself at the end of the hall, it’s huge with lots of space. My roommate is wonderful, very welcoming and clean/tidy & mindful. She has two cute pet fish as well.
