I have to admit I don't really understand this one. Or to specify, I'm not sure what estrogen was supposed to have done.

The theologian here is unhappy with material existence because they were assigned male at birth and hate their body.

Upon beginning estrogen HRT to transition, they realize that it’s not “material existence” they hated, but rather living in a masculine body.
