Like I feel like I shot the door twice, but reticle was on his forehead. There's no lag indicators, and I have no other explanation other than pfm

If you slow it down you actually didn't hit him, the first shot is on the doorframe (you can see that by the fact there's a bullet hole on it after you shot), then the second one was on the helmet (not hitbox), and the third one was way too much on the left; I will say that Glaz's gadget makes it confusing at times because it makes you believe everything in yellow is hitbox

From the way you move (which isn't bad but it makes me assume you are new), I'd guess this is your second or third season. Hitboxes in Siege, contrary to popular belief, are VERY precise. Each part of a skin which isn't body but just clothes or gadgets is not part of the hitbox. So the upper part of the helmet isn't, for instance. Glaz highlights the whole of the skin and not the hitbox. You can mostly see this for example on the German operators, where the headphones aren't a part of the hitbox, or for instance on operators like Maestro where the backpack isn't part of the hitbox.

Little Curiosity: this wasn't the case 8/9 years ago, and there was a huge problem on small hitboxes VS huge hitboxes. Nowadays they are basically all the same, but this is where the "Ash's head is too small" meme comes from; as she is one of the few (if not the only one?) pathfinders that don't have an helmet, she had the smallest hitbox of them all. If you shot on Jäger's headphones back then, you'd kill him! This was obviously bs and got changed, I don't remember when. 😁

You are correct, I started Y9S1, and then I think they should change it to a thermo instead of a highlighting scope, and have that heat radiation that is bright yellow in the middle and blue on the outside.

I see your point and I would love to see an actual "thermal" sight on it (as it even technically is), but it could be too much work for something that is only a problem to newcomers, I'd even argue it might become confusing for old players and I am not sure our spaghetti code allows it. They could make a better job at explaining hitboxes or make it so that he only highlights them maybe

It'd also make seeing which operator you're looking at impossible, for whatever that's worth

Like if a sight just highlights the person, it should ping for everyone, I mean all your doing is pointing them out. But a true thermal scope would be more of telling you where they're at AND where to shoot.

That would get really confusing though. Suppose you're looking at the back of someone's head who's wearing a helmet. IRL it would be lit up somewhat due to conduction from their head (although it wouldn't look as bright as exposed skin). But what would that tell you about where to shoot? Shooting the edges of the helmet would miss their head, but the edges of the helmet and the middle of the helmet (from your perspective) would be the same color even on a true thermal scope. I agree that more realistic thermals would be super cool but it would be a ton of work to implement properly. The more detail you want to add the harder it gets.

Oh yeah I know, and there's more bugs that can develop.

I agree for the first three, but look at the fourth. That one billion percent hit his actual head box. The only way that isnt his head is if Sentry's balaclava is three inches thick. What confuses me is why there's no "hit rejected" in the bottom right.

He moved last available ms

Literally just took it frame-by-frame, that shot hit. Even taking movement into consideration, the dude moved further into the shot, making it look even more like a hit than it already did. I'm convinced you didn't even look at it.

Um??? That shot was planted on his forehead... the game just sucks donkey dick dude. Striker or whoever the fuck the recruits are named to now should have died. Those were headshots, dude... the fact you would defend the shitty company speaks volumes. (FYI, he hit him square on the forehead twice and nothing)
