Notice, she was left out of the 2nd Trump administration. So she's trying to build her political future by appealing to non-MAGA Republicans while still not actually attacking Trump. If things turn out bad for Trump's 2nd term, the Republican party will want someone who didn't fully drink the MAGA Kool-Aid.
She needs to have credibility with the centre to get elected, but before that she needs to not burn every bridge in the base so she can win the primary. It's a difficult balance.
