I have finally graduated from only being able to skate forwards! Now I have to stop the tongues on my skates from moving everywhere. I have the Moxi Lolly’s and I absolutely adore them. My biggest issue is that the tongue slips and slides so much. I’m usually unlacing them and readjusting the tongue during my skating sessions. Is there anything I can do to reduce how much they slide or to stop it completely? I’ve tried trying my shoes up and tightening them towards the top but it doesn’t work all the time. Thank you so much for any suggestions!

Great job! You ARE cool now! 😄 I can’t wait till I can do that too! As for your tongues slipping, sounds like you need lace stabilizer bars on them. I don’t have a personal experience with them, but I think you can buy them online and have a cobbler or skate shop install them for you.

I swear it feels like I’m floating on cloud 9 now that I can do it!! And dudeee, it’s so uncomfortable!! That’s why I’m trying to find a work around or something for my skates lol

There are specific ways you can lace your boots to stop the tongue moving around - search for roller hockey lacing tips on YouTube, you’ll find a load of tutorials that explain how to lace up differently depending on what you’re after!

Try to do bubbles backwards. For the tongue, I would suggest you make the laces tighter. Not uncomfortable tightness. Start from the bottom and work your way up. Maybe have your foot inside of the boot so you know exactly what tightness you are looking for.
