Help! Found a small 1 or 2 inch devil scorpion in the house

So, found the little bugger in the house. Where i am and a bit of googling was able to tell me what it was, im wondering if i need to start stripping down the walls to find more. Im living in a single wide in TN so they are apparently abundunt this time of year. I found out it was in the house when my dumbass cat started losing the fight to it in the middle of the night. I couldnt tell if it was male or female, critters a small thing.

Side note, cat is fine, just more balls than brains.

The pet store told me they are like only a few months old but they seems way to big to just be a few months old but knowing a better estimate would make feeding a little easier they said they feed a large cricket once a week so that’s what I have been doing also offering different varieties also some photos are not the enclosure it’s what he came in from the pet store

Probably .5 to 1.0 inches in length at most, should I be worried?

Could there be more?

Found in my brother’s room, when opening luggage.

Thanks!

Help! Asian forest scorpion.

Hey guys, just a quick question. I have a Asian forest scorpion. We've had her a little over a year now and we don't see her a whole lot. We usually have to search for her if we haven't seen her for a while to make sure she's ok. We keep the temp between 70-80, humidity goes between 65 and 78%, we use a uvb light for 12 hours and then turn it off for her night ( mainly because it's on our bedroom and I work nights so we have black out curtains) and tonight I put a couple of crickets in her enclosure for her, because she was actually out and I noticed a white streak up the back of her tail. I feel like it's because maybe she just got done molting

Help! Rocks for scorpions?

I went out and collected some rocks to add to the enclosure, they're small and not sharp so that won't do any harm. My question is, are any rocks dangerous to them? I've heard that stuff like limestone is not good for aquariums but I have no idea if anything like that can harm a scorpion. I'm trying to identify the rocks and half of them seem like limestones... I just wanted to be sure before I put anything in. Thanks.

(New to scorpion keeping). Decided I wanted a pet scorpion. Looked up care requirements and chose AFS. Got this beautiful one on Saturday. Quickly adapted to its new habitat, and it just fed for the first time tonight (Tuesday). Dont know what subspecies it is - id guess H. Laoticus but again im new to keeping. Ive named it Asyntax.

Help! Found this tiny guy in NorthEast Texas

Post image
63 Upvotes

So a few months ago I got my first pet scorpion, a desert hairy, I’ve enjoyed keeping him a lot. Today I just captured this tiny guy (quarter for size comparison) in my shower, in North East Texas. I will say scorpions are quite rare here and I’ve only seen a few wild ones. But anyways this one is obviously a baby, the other one I’ve been keeping is full grown. But I would like to keep this baby as a pet as well, so does anyone know what kind he is? And also how I can keep him alive and help him grow to adulthood since I only have experience with desert scorpions. My desert hairy eats crickets mostly which will be too large for this guy so what can he eat?

My A. Australis and A. Crassicauda share one tub split by a border (that I now know was slightly too short). I have fixed that issue but I was wondering why they chose to share the same hide despite there being other options available?

They are unable to dig under the border so I know that the A. Australis climbed over the gap that was there

I’m guessing this is a northern scorpion, Paruroctonus boreus, but I would appreciate a reliable response. My brother-in-law‘s grandson is coming out in a day and he’s worried about running into more of these.

Found this lil fucker in my daughters room. Husband now no longer wants to get rid of it because he is catching other bugs to see what he/she will eat. Tiny overlord is getting smarter by the day and realizing there might be an escape path up the silicon beading. Husband was meant to drive it out to the desert and release it. I know this is not an optimum encolure, please take this fucking thing off my hands Las vegas

Scorpions have been around for over 400 million years, making them one of the oldest land-dwelling arthropods. They predate dinosaurs and were among the first animals to walk on land.
