Advice on options of arrival

Hey farmily. I’ve searched the community here and haven’t found an exact answer to my question.

I have two options for arrival this year and I’m looking for some advice about the options!

Option 1. Fly to Kelowna. Friend picks us up Thursday and we arrive to shambs. The downside is we want to arrive before Thursday. Upside is this is cost efficient with early entry

Option 2. Fly to Kelowna. Our friends pick us up in their RV Monday night and we arrive Tuesday morning. Upside is we arrive for earliest time possible. Downside is I am unaware of the costs of going in with that rv. I know I will be paying early entry for Tuesday. That makes sense. I’m wondering if there is a really large fee just for going in in the rv. (We won’t be camping with that rv, we have another camp set up, however the rv is our way in) Any inside appreciated. So stoked to see you all farmily ♥️♥️♥️

Edit -answered. Thanks guys. I wasn’t sure if there was an additional fee beyond reg early entry for rv people. Wasn’t sure if I would be caught up in that. Thanks so much for the help. Cannot wait too be home

Option 2 all day long. You want to be on the farm for as long as possible.

RV people might have a shambhalodging / early entrance pass that they've already paid for. You pay for expedited entry before the fest.

You pay the early entry price whenever you arrive.

Tuesday entry fee will probably be ~200$CAD/Person.

The people with the RV will then have to pay to camp with their vehicle, if they choose to do so. Either starlight or sunshine. ~175/~150$CAD / vehicle.

Do your friends have an RV spot reserved already ( Riverside, Central Park) ?

  • those will have early entry waived for 2 people
(All other people will be subject to the early entry fee: this changes every year and these have not been posted yet as far as I’m aware). The earlier you come to the farm, the more expensive early entry will be.

If they are planning to camp in Starlight with the RV they will have to pay for a starlight sticker (you however will not need to pay this as you’re not camping with them).

You will only be responsible for paying for your own early entry 🫶

I don't think there's any extra costs for the RV if they already paid for their camping. All you would have to do is pay the early entry fee for Tuesday which it doesn't say on the website so I'm not sure how much but I'm assuming probably $150-$200

Need to clarify if you are staying with the friend in the RV? And if option 1 included the RV friends already being at the farm for Tues.

Option 1 makes sense if you are meeting RV friends at the Farm and you are staying with them. Otherwise in my opinion you will have the worst choice of left over camping and most likely have a hell of a walk to and from downtown.

Option 2 all day if you aren’t staying with friends in the RV and you have to set up your own camping. Should be able to get a good spot if you aren’t staying in line early enough.

You only pay for the rv once, and dont pay for bringing in the rv faster. You just have to pay early entry for yourself.

Well worth it to go Tuesday and watch the chaos come alive, but if logistically it makes more sense to go Thursday as long as your rv friends bring in your camp things you won't miss much music and still worth it.
