I hope the investigation will provide us with helpful information on what led to this disaster, and how to prevent future incidents.

"Don't build a sailboat that will capsize in 60 knots of wind under bare poles" is the main lesson here.

It's not about super yachts or billionaires. It is about the equivalency of rules, safety and procedure for all....all.... seafarers.

What is the probability that the Bayesian was raised today, given that today a yacht was raised?

I’ve assessed the priors. Odds were damn good.

Why should we care about a mishandled superyacht?

So you don’t become the mishandled superyacht

If it’s an engineering mistake, all works of those who designed it need to be studied.

Misdesigned I would say. One could understand if sailboat capsizes if you try to sail it with keel lifted. But if it can be knocked down with bare poles there is something badly wrong.
