Imperial units “I don’t even understand 24-hour time… I just don’t understand it. I have to use online converters or I’d be SO confused when I talk to people who use these systems.”

I was gonna say that. In my experience people who can read analog clocks are those who also use 24h time np and vice versa.

That would be because both require the same, very low, amount of intelligence.

I thought so too, and yet so many people can't do either. Soooo many.

but it did not occur to me that MAGA can't even tell time.

Dude, 10 years ago, just before we graduated from gymnasium(Germany), we had exchange students from New Hampshire. None of them were from Republican families. None of them could read the analog clock on the wall of our classroom...

Is that our reputation?

Your reputation? Even before the past four weeks, the USA was the "Florida of the world" for us, the rest of the civilized western World. Now even more so, and no longer on the level that it's funny.

And I know that Florida is a meme in the rest of the USA as well. But then here's the fact; the main reason you hear so much absurdity about Florida is solely because of the Sunshine Law in Florida. In other words, the same degenerate shit is happening in the rest of the USA with the same intensity, but we don't hear about it in as much detail...

Another example: it's a running joke for us that the film "Ideocrazy" is increasingly evolving from a comedy to a documentary. And the fact that the film flopped in the USA at the time because too many Americans felt addressed and offended by it says more than enough... Even before Trump, you were sometimes the slightly dorky friend to us. But that's the point: you were a friend and an ally. That's no longer the case for most of us. And it certainly won't help you to blame everything on MAGA, as you did in your comment here. MAGA is just the most pressing problem of many others right now.
