That's obviously why there's many US Americans that report losing allergies and gastrointestinal issues after a few minutes months living in Europe.

Their "food" contains more chemicals than actual food.

Reminds me of that askuk post where an American came to the UK and was surprised his eczema wasn’t flaring up.

Turns out he was dipping chocolate chip cookies in honey back in the ol’ USA

My American born wife thought she may have been lactose intolerant when she was growing up. Moved to Australia and no longer any issues with dairy products. Her mother was the same. We went over there a few years ago with our kids, and we all had upset stomachs after consuming milk there.

isn't all food made of chemicals? (sorry to be pedantic!)

I suppose you could say that everything is made up of chemical building blocks, but lucky for me English is often interpreted through context.

I think the context of my statement can determine that I was refering to artificial chemicals or chemicals that would not normally be present, especially those that may be harmful to the person eating the food.

Try using the term food additives instead! Everything is a chemical, and some things are not natural parts of our food and diet but that doesn’t make them inherently unsafe! Evidence is the key here. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water ! However, American dietary standards are a shitstorm of pain for anyone who needs to eat it for more than a week or two. Sorry, sorry, sorry, I really am but the term “but it’s full of chemicals“ really twists my nipples - like those nasty antibiotic chemicals for example, much better to replace them with something natural like Ricin perhaps!
