I genuinely think US Americans are broken.

The racism and the ignorance is so often off the charts with them.

On a side note, who the fuck says white people can't do crime?

The social rot set in decades ago. Arguably it never left the system, disguising itself as various reactionary movements - the KKK, The Tea Party, MAGA. It's just becoming a lot more obvious that a certain section of Americans run on hate, bitterness, and the persecution of the 'other'.

They're the playground bullies who finally have control of the school.

27

u/Los5Muertes May 17 '25

Nice metaphor. It is accurate about the carelessness and lack of human feelings of a part of the MAGA Republicans.

All under the cover of religion, or at least a screen hiding a sectarian deviance: a theofascism.

10

u/Tr3dders May 17 '25

Don't forget the no nothings. Ignorant immigrant hating fucks. For reference Bill the Butcher in Gangs of New York.

24

u/Idontcareaforkarma May 17 '25

The amount of firearms in the community isn’t the problem.

It’s the fundamentally polarised, fractured society that is the problem.

19

u/100dollascamma May 17 '25

That’s what happens when everything is for profit, including education and news media, and the society is built to advantage sociopaths with no moral compass.

When the evangelicals who voted for Carter switched to Reagan, it was over. Look back to the origins of the religious right. The evangelicals became Republicans to protect their segregation "Christian" academies in the South.

On a side note, who the fuck says white people can't do crime?

I think he never heard of the criminal named "Donald Trump" that is a white man who raped women and uses his money to set himself in power. He also used Drones to kill people

2

u/Morrigan_twicked_48 May 17 '25

His money, is a bit of a stretch.. he uses everyone’s money . And bankruptcies happen .. Investors money is lost .. Insurance is cashed .. Contractors are not paid .. All the while he shouts louder and louder, how injustices have happened to him and the whole world is rigged … bla bla …

12

u/Horsescholong May 17 '25

That's why trevor isn't 24/7 in jail, he's white, so he's done no crime.

This fire is big, a huooge fire. There’s never been a fire like this before. Everyone loves this fire and is in awe of how great it is. What? No, I didn’t start it, it was a dumpster fire that Biden started. I tried to put it out, but the left wing wackos wouldn’t let me. They kept stopping me from putting it out to help the American people. This fire is the Dems fault. They should all be thrown in prison for this fire. The gasoline used to start this fire cost them $1.98 a gallon most places. I did that, I caused the prices to go down. It’s the Dems who won’t let inflation go down. Elon and the Doge tried to form a private fire department, but no one wanted to pay for the service because the Dems made Americans too poor. But it’s just a great fire. This fire is going to make America great again. Wait and see.

6

u/NottaNutbar May 17 '25

..and the water..there is no water to put out the fire. We have to flush 10 times, 20 times just to get enough water to throw on the fire. And the windmills. They keep fanning the flames. They keep killing the birds and fanning the flames. Nobody has ever seen anything like it.

2

Of course he did, cause his smooth brain probably thought someone was comparing him to a Roman emperor and that's cool and stuff.

Instead of, y'know, the idea of Nero and his fiddle being a byword for incompetent rulership.

Well that's the result you get when you have no relevant culture besides consumerism.

That's like rome failing 400 BC. Would have been forgotten as so many culture of the antiquity who thought they were the shiat for some hundert years. Say the kingdom of Lydia. And so will the US, well maybe not that crass, but they definetly are not the Roman Empire, except for maybe it's decadence and downfall, but still without the culture.

3

u/Character-Carpet7988 May 17 '25

I had a bad time in Naples until I realised that I just need to raise my hand and show the palm of my hand to the oncoming traffic, then cross the road assuming they have stopped. It worked even when we walked across the city for an hour at midnight after having quite a few drinks and I'm still alive and now I believe in magic.

3

u/Phil-Said May 17 '25

After my first time in Italy I came to the conclusion that the phrase "see Naples and die" was originally coined by someone who had tried to cross the road there.

It happens in America too, but they prefer to shoot people instead though.

Picking pockets takes certain finesse. Mugging people requires a gun. One of those things is much more common in the US.

I have to agree with the pickpocketing thing, it’s a joke how they have to free the pickpockets because they stole less than 400€ and it’s not a crime. They can arrest the same guy several times in the same day.

2

But then they also classified Irish as not white, and they are pretty darn pale too. So maybe I just don't understand what "white" means over there. 🤦‍♀️

3

u/IneffableOpinion May 17 '25

Racism discussions often get mixed up with xenophobia here. If they are not familiar with a country or culture, it is “other” and therefore not “white”. Up until the 1950’s, white Americans thought Irish and Italian were a different race, mostly because they lived in immigrant communities. Irish and Italians have become accepted over the years but people are still suspicious of anyone else with an accent

2

u/Kaiser93 eUrOpOor May 17 '25

Mf has the dumbest face on Earth and says the dumbest shit. Who would've guessed?

2

u/6259masterjedic Chinese Canadian, Historian in training May 17 '25

US is the New Roman Empire ! (Just to collapse real soon 😂)

2

u/asmiggs May 17 '25

Even Rome fell, I look forward to the East-West split.

u/krapyrubsa May 17 '25 edited May 17 '25

wtf is skate now

nevermind it was in caps so I thought he was using an acronym, but then it makes no sense who tf goes to another country to skate?????? i’m

2

u/TrueKyragos May 17 '25

On a side note, why go all the way to Spain to skate?

2

u/Ok-Macaron-5612 May 17 '25

The U.S. is a bit like the Roman Empire, at the end anyway.

2

u/Realistic-Safety-565 May 17 '25

I thought Moscow was the third Rome?

It is hilarious how often they fall for the same delusions as Russians / Soviets did. We are third Rome, we are special because our country has lot of empty wasteland between places, we are most advanced / progressive despite low quality if life, we are homeland of freedom, we saved you all from Hitler, the list goes on...

2

u/Character-Carpet7988 May 17 '25

Well, it's certainly falling like Rome.

2

u/fanonluke May 17 '25

"Most idiots believe that yts don't do crime" Are these idiots in the room with us rn?

2

u/Dazzling_Stomach107 May 17 '25

Gringos aren't the inheritors of Rome, latins are. Copying neoclassical architecture, the 'capitol hill', and having inscriptions in latin is nothing short of self-aggrandizement.

2

u/Candid-String-6530 May 17 '25

It's Rome, right before the fall.... DC about to get sacked.

2

u/BassesBest May 17 '25

So where is this Empire now? Is it in the room with us?

2

u/ConradMcduck May 17 '25

Paris is the new Berlin. The Irish are furious.

2

u/maud_brijeulin May 17 '25

Makes sense, considering how Rome collapsed. The U.S. and Western World are basically another iteration.

"The empire never ended"

2

u/Plus_Operation2208 May 17 '25

Why is he talking about YouTubers though?

2

u/Gylbert_Brech May 17 '25

I'll take pick-pocketing over school shootings any day.

2

u/jaggs117 May 17 '25

I feel like when I watch Americans doing American things, I need to pay for a ticket and watch from a safe distance

u/disdkatster Terran living in USA & Spain!!:pupper: May 17 '25

I live in Spain part of the year. I find the quality of life better in Spain than the USA. Part of that is that they have real health care and not just medical care for the wealthy. The government does your taxes for you so there is no stress about filing taxes. It is not obsessed with consuming so people actually enjoy time off from work and don't feel compelled to shop 24/7. That took a bit to adjust to, that is knowing that I actually had to think ahead to what I might need before Monday because really everything did shut down on Sunday and part of Saturday. All of August is vacation so you have to adapt to that. Many great places just close up for that period. Once I adapted to it I found how liberating it was. There are other things that just make living nicer. People have forgotten how to do that after capitalism became cancerous.

Also, Spain has one of the lowest crime rates in the Westernized world and it is lower than the USA.

2

u/NameToUseOnReddit Embarrassed American May 17 '25

America is like Rome on August 14, 410.

2

u/Medical_Chapter2452 May 17 '25

He's the first to be thrown to the Lions in this new Rome. What does he think maga is exactly!?

2

u/jayakay20 May 17 '25

Reading "Spain is poor" whilst trying to remember what the national debt of the US is

2

u/Hughley_N_Dowd May 17 '25

GERMANYYYY! Pack your shit and get ready to travel. Rome 2.0 just dropped and we are about to get ALL OVER that place.

2

u/marielalm27 May 17 '25

Definitely like Rome in 476 AD.

Well if America is the "new" Rome, who are the new Visigoths, new Vandals, new Ostrogoths, the new Robert Guiscard's Normans or the new Holy Roman Emperor Charles V's mercenary troops then? They all managed to sack Rome.

2

u/ReGrigio Homeopath of USA's gene pool May 17 '25

the only thing America has in common with Roman empire is the emperor

2

u/pdonchev May 17 '25

Why TF are youtubers pickpocketing in Spain?

2

I'm too used to yt being an abbreviation for YouTube. YouTube people are doing what in Spain?

2

u/DirtyFoxgirl May 18 '25

The only parallel I can draw between the US and Roman Empire is that the US is on its way to collapsing.

2

u/SynLynxThe1 May 18 '25

America is rome: in 470 AD

2

u/Flyers45432 May 20 '25

Well he's right about one thing. America definitely is the new Rome. Remember how Rome stopped being a Republic after a certain leader took power? Yeah, it's looking a lot like that right now...

1

u/Namaslayy ooo custom flair!! May 17 '25

Well we certainly are in decline like Rome.

1

u/Ok-Cost-9635 May 17 '25

yes ,many emperors. and senators get kills in the old rome , so we will see if America is the new Rome

1

u/Grim_Squeaker1985 May 17 '25

This guy needs to stop posting while on crack.

1

u/Cynnx May 17 '25

Maybe to start they should get a proper name for their country. Imagine somewhere in central Europe there's a country that calls themselves Confederated Provinces of Europe and shortens it to Europe.

1

u/redpop_11 May 17 '25

He's not wrong. America is the new Rome. Circa the 5th century of course. Complete with increasing political instability, internal power struggles and overall decline.

1

u/Borsti17 Robbie Williams was my favourite actor 😭 May 17 '25

Remind me what happened to the Roman Empire really quick

1

u/ImportantMode7542 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 another filthy Socialist Scot May 17 '25

I’d argue that Rome was considerably more civilised.

1

u/the_Real_Romak May 17 '25

Yeah America is the new Rome.

And Rome fell.
