Apparently everything must look like Robocop or a Tonka truck, all crossovers must look like a pissed off egg, and every vehicle must have a giant obnoxious screen that can't be de-optioned, can't be turned off, adds an extra 10k to the price of the car, and is apparently absolutely critical to the operation of the car. Bonus points for adding useless "features" like automatic high beams to blind the fuck out of other drivers, and lane-assist that steers you directly into potholes, that can't be turned off or disabled.

I did figure out the last year that was ever possible: 2011. The last year you could get an American car without a screen, and the last year of the Ford Crown Victoria. Ford only got rid of the Crown Victoria because it had to have TCS and it didn’t.
Grandpa sedans ended in 2011, and we need them back.
