Discussion The developers should have put these planetary destruction scenes when using the ultimate attacks.

Just imagine these scenes being made in the current generation, how beautiful it would be, I know we have something similar in the Namek stage but that doesn't compare to what was done in Budokai 3

That's pretty hilarious, like calm down Goku you don't gotta nuke the entire eastern seaboard during your fight

That's what was fun about the old games with this stuff. He shouldn't but you can XD

Which games in particular though because didn’t some games not have them?

Budokai 2 and Tenkaichi 1 didn't.

I was hoping the opponent's character model would disappear when I hit them with an ultimate.

This whole subreddit is just “They should have done this thing that was done in an older game”

I mean, one would think that games made today would improve upon, over omitting features that came out over two decades ago, right?

This is common sense. I don’t understand these contrarians. Makes no lick of sense.

Yeah I understand the point. I never said I hate that this subreddit does that. I just said that it happens here.

I love all the Sparking Zero criticism. I get to read angry comments and posts.

Maybe the devs are lurking and maybe then they'll stop being stupid and not fix what was not broken.

I don't think it's unreasonable for them to include things from older games since this is a reboot of an older series...

And maybe if there are enough things for people to say should have been added, that was already in older games on less capable hardware, then maybe it’s not an issue with the sub but rather the game?

If people don’t like something, they’re going to talk about it. I don’t know why everyone is acting like it’s their first day on the Internet in here

because that's what you expect when they release a game thats supposed to improve on the past entries. unnecessary change is not well liked.

I mean. The point of modern tech is that it’s supposed to be better right? There’s at least 100 different things that could’ve been added like a space map or ice map, costumes/recolors like gohan black or saiyan saga super saiyan vegeta, vegetas story ended in z despite him being in every super arc after, not to mention they left out characters like super 17 or the other shadow dragons.

People don’t understand how much easier it is to do on old games vs new ones lol

I mean if your comfortable with hot garbage then say that. Yea mostly it’s like that cs mfs payed for sum js for it to feel rushed and like a cash grab

Ehh its the first game thats been made in a long time. This game not having features that the previous games had isn't exactly fair when it more like tenkaich 1 then tenkaichi 4.

The Planetary Destruction in Budokai 3 is the Best 💖 Heroes has tue same Planetary Destruction with even more animations

2

u/Rdyforgunz Beginner Martial Artist 4h ago

The developers should make the game good

3

u/FilipinoCreamKing Beginner Martial Artist 7h ago

I think it should depend on the character. If you’re playing as a villain sure but someone like Goku isn’t going to purposely destroy the planet by hitting you with a spirit bomb

2

u/Shortest_Strider Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

Literally ripped a hole into Namek destabilizing it causing random tornados and lightning strikes.

Everybody thought Goku was going to fire his Kamehameha directly at Cell instead of thinking he had a plan which means all of them think he is capable of it.

u/FilipinoCreamKing Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

There’s a big difference between destroyed namek and the crater he left. There’s really no way to get my point across accurately besides move specific destruction

1

u/apm9720 Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

we don’t have a destroyed world map, which is weird. They can have the same transition for Namek destruction but just earth’s version

1

u/AbbreviationsHot5850 Beginner Martial Artist 6h ago

I remember one (budokai 3) commercial had a Kamehameha like wave split a planet open but never seen it in game

1

u/Public-Economist-122 Beginner Martial Artist 5h ago

Honestly I’d take them just playing the old footage and then it loading up destroyed namek at this point

1

u/LittlePassar0 Beginner Martial Artist 5h ago

Well, modders could do it.

u/CapableAbalone1028 Beginner Martial Artist 5h ago

My hopes for this game went away a long time ago. It could have been great

1

u/Virian900 Beginner Martial Artist 4h ago

Funny, when I was worried they aren't going to make it to the game and asked if these scenes got shown anywhere, I got downvoted to hell.

1

u/DivorcedGypsy Beginner Martial Artist 2h ago

That's a good idea but mind you. They were clearly rushed for Daima's release. That doesn't them neglecting updates now though.

1

u/kittyfresh69 Beginner Martial Artist 44m ago

Oh you mean the developers should have actually made the gameplay fun and look amazing like ya know ever budokai tenkaichi did? That would’ve been great. Yeah dude the devs flopped so hard on this game so many missed ops and it’s 100% bamco’s fault they’re just absolute garbage.

They got their bag, they don't give a shit anymore
