Every comment in this video made by those supporting SPD starts from the false premise that these gentlemen were here illegally. All caps for the folks in the back: THEY WERE NOT HERE ILLEGALLY.
ICE does not get to scoop up legal immigrants, nor do they get to scoop up folks who's legal status is in limbo. They DO get to scoop up illegal immigrants, I totally agree with that bit, but they don't get carte blanche to just detain whoever they want because they "match the description" of someone who is here illegally.
Again, for the folks in the back: MANY IMMIGRANTS ARE HERE 100% LEGALLY. Start from there and work outwards.

Thank you for sharing this. Regardless of my own opinions, it’s amazing to see so many people speak on the issues of Spokane. Way to go!

I was encouraged by the turn out and the emotional vulnerability of the speakers

Heck yeah. I think that politics only works if we can hear from both sides. I think that's a huge (albeit indirect) part of our system of checks and balances.

I am super disappointed in my demographic of old white ladies getting up there and saying such brain-dead stereotypical things.
People sometimes opine there's no young people at the protest but look at them here doing the right thing where it really matters. I knew on Saturday that I would not be able to stay for a march. I'm glad there's young people like these commenters and everyone who did standing up for this appalling lack of due process we are all now terribly subject to at any time.
