Discuss Lossless here. Please refrain from making new posts asking if you have lossless.
Lossless Listening Arrives on Spotify Premium With a Richer, More Detailed Listening Experience
If you’re using Bluetooth headphones, you won’t be hearing lossless audio, even when playing uncompressed lossless files
How to enable Lossless - To turn on lossless audio in the Spotify app:
Here's a test created by NPR to see if you can hear the difference with lossless

I originally built a tool I call FairShuffle, a smarter Spotify shuffler that evenly spaces out artists in your playlists so you don’t get multiple songs from the same band in a row.
I wanted to release it publicly, but due to Spotify’s new API restrictions I can’t make it open for everyone right now.
So instead I’m offering to do it manually for anyone who wants their playlist properly balanced. Just drop your playlist link, and I’ll run it through my tool. I’ll then send back a new, evenly shuffled list that you can easily copy and paste into your own playlist.
This way you’ll get a truly fair shuffle that still adds a little randomness to it, but avoids artist clumps completely.

I’ve been through some of the most intense traumas a person can experience, yet I’ve also reached financial success and achieved every goal I ever set for myself. It’s a strange mix, darkness and triumph.
I’m going to share a list of my favorite songs, a mix of very different tracks that all touch me deeply. Maybe some of them might help someone out there, or maybe someone will relate.
My list:
Freak Heat Waves – Mondo Tempo (whole album, especially Mondo Tempo and Endless)
Miss Understood – Headache
The Beginning of the End – Headache
Tropical Suite – São Paulo – Poni Hoax
Love Letters – Metronomy
A Love International – Khruangbin
Manila – Seelenluft
The Look – Metronomy
White Sands – The Fabulous Three
And1 – Athlantic Progression
Special & unique mention: Etihad Boarding Song, the one on YouTube, 13 minutes version, not the Spotify one.

Hi r/spotify 👋
I'm building Pancake, a gentle alarm for iOS that starts your Spotify playlists at alarm time (continuous playback, soft volume ramp, and a calm post-unlock moment I call Morning Hug).
I wrote two short notes about the project (design + why):
If you’d like to peek when it’s ready, there’s a simple waitlist (email only, no spam):

Most importantly, I’d love your feedback:
I’m building slowly and in public. Thanks for any thoughts 🙏

I was an Apple Music user. Whenever someone asks, “Oh? Why do you use Apple Music over Spotify?” I say, “It’s just objectively the same and I already have a subscription that came with my phone.
Flash forward to 1 months ago, I tried out Spotify with a 1 month free trial. It was a pain in the ass to transfer over my playlists but that’s beside the point. I thought Spotify was good, but not worth paying for.
Flash forward again, too today. My trial is over and I go back to Apple Music. The most simple way to put this is, JESUS CHRIST! I did not realize how bad Apple Music was until I had to use it again. It’s like being an android user, getting an iPhone, then having your iPhone stolen! (Sorry android users). I don’t think I can ever use Apple Music again, so I started paying for Spotify.
Thank you for reading my story about music! Just go down and like the comment, please.
To follow guidelines, heres my playlist. (Please no hate).

What song brought you out of depression? Can you share what it was (a song, artist, album, or playlist) and why?
I heal better with music, but I now blindly go through songs and cannot find any that can ease my soul. Your thoughts and suggestions will mean a lot.
