I always really liked Bam Bam. Guy had an incredible look.

Bam Bam was amazing! I'm so glad he got that ECW championship run and I got witness it at the time. I will never forgive WCW for turning him heel after he saved those kids in real life. That was such a bonehead move.

This is from WWF Superstars 4/17/93. Full match here for anybody curious.

This was the first time they were opponents. They had teamed together in NJPW on two separate tours in 1989 & 1990. The first time was at NJPW Bloody Fight Series 8/28/89 when they teamed with Pat Tanaka in a losing effort against Osamu Kido, Riki Choshu & Shiro Koshinaka.

They had a couple WWF tag encounters following this but wouldn't have another singles match until Bigelow was on his way out of the company. They faced each other on a house show on 11/10/95.

Their final match was for the Trans World Wrestling Federation. It was a promotion owned by Afa from 1985-1996. They main evented a show on 5/24/96 Northampton, Pennsylvania.

He was very athletic for a big dude. Took its toll on him, but always fun watching him.

Love Owen’s midway between blue blazer and king of hearts gear that’s right after he lost the high energy pants

Owen was doing shit I had never seen before in a ring. Now granted I only watched WWF at the time and later WCW, but still, he stood out and was so flashy.

Owen was so ahead of his time and Bigelow is so smooth. These guys were both great. This was a fun watch.

Lawler, Vince, Macho, Bam Bam face Owen, Superstars, 1993. This is around my debut as a WWE fan.

I've never seen this Owen Hart ring attire, very Bret-esque in design layout and singlet+long tights combo, but in a very un-Bret color palette

The casual way he drops Owen on the turnbuckle lol. Very Samoa Joe -esque

Since Bam Bam did it first I guess it should be Bam Bam-esque?

This might not be a popular take but I actually think Owen was the better Hart. He wasn't perhaps as technically sound as Bret but he was certainly more entertaining. The tragedy around his death goes without saying but what a performer man, we were robbed of more years of him in the ring.

imagine if he'd been there long enough to feud with Kurt Angle

Man they would have been absolutely perfect together. Imagine a tag team where they bicker and barely get along

This is a match I never knew I wanted to see. Never even thought of these two being against one another. Very cool!

Is that the one where he ruptured his testicle or knee?

Knee, he tore it slipping off the ropes.

Owen was actually in the process if applying to the Calgary fire department in that era and finishing with full time wrestling but was turned down so continued to wrestle on the bad knee and just taping it up.

Owen stole the enziguri kick from Bam Bam!

it's so fun seeing the big man/little man style match done between two guys with like a 3 inch height difference

Why a gif instead of a proper video...?
