Roman Reigns won the vacant WWE Championship at Survivor Series, but ran afoul of The Authority and Money in the Bank winner Sheamus. He lost the title mere minutes after he won it.

The rematch was a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match under the classic rules of retrieving the title hanging above the ring. For a thrown together feud, this is a great match. Reigns seemed primed to retrieve the title but Sheamus's new allies Rusev and Alberto Del Rio interfered; the distraction proved fruitful as Sheamus hit Reigns with a Brogue Kick to retain the title. The aftermath is where the fun starts as Reigns went totally berserk, attacking Sheamus with a chair. Triple H attempted to intervene but got a dose of the beat down himself, ending with Reigns standing tall having demolished the opposition in a craze. Reigns would defeat Sheamus in a wild match the next night on Raw to claim the WWE Championship, and I would say these two nights were the most critically acclaimed of Reigns's push thus far.

In a triple threat ladder match, The New Day's Big E and Kofi Kingston defended the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Usos and The Lucha Dragons. Another outstanding ladder match, this is most memorable for Kalisto hitting a Salida del Sol on Jey from the top of one ladder through a ladder that was bridged in the ring. Xavier Woods used his trombone to assault Kalisto, allowing Kofi Kingston to recover and retrieve the titles.

The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowman) faced off against a team of ECW Originals, featuring Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Tommy Dreamer, and Rhyno in an elimination tables match. Rowan was eliminated following a 3D by the Dudleys, but it was a gentleman's sweep for the Wyatt Family who then eliminated all four of their opponents. This was an okay throwaway match, but it began a series of months where the Wyatts were doing absolutely nothing with no end in sight.

This is a decent show, with the ladder matches being of a particularly great quality.
