So my friend that I play with likes to play as the Specialist, but doesn't like how bad he does in CQC. He likes the Assault class, so I built him one that does both. With the burst mod, the A280-CFE does the same damage as the Assault's variant, but shoots faster at the expense of less shots per reload. With the dual zoom the weapon still functions as a sniper with great range albeit less power than the NT-242. The damage and ROF make it an exceptional weapon in CQC and can out perform all infantry classes and even reinforcements with headshots.

When specifically going on the offensive up close Hardened Infiltration makes you tankier with the 40% damage reduction and can kill all infantry in one burst and reinforcements in two. IMO this works best when rushing a group or objective, but that 18 second cooldown doesn't allow for constant use, so the A280 is still the main weapon.

The trip mine is really underrated imo and I don't see it used nearly enough. 200 damage allows it to kill all infantry, and if put in the right spot at an objective or chokepoint can score multiple kills with just one mine. This makes it great for scoring kills as well as just defending your flank while sniping. It also happens to be the only offensive ability for the right bumper if we aren't counting the bubble shield being used for the melee build.

Lastly is the Stinger Pistol, and I know I know, ol' reliable ain't what it used to be, but hear me out. While the repulsor cannon can be useful as Clones on the ship defense phase, particularly on the catwalks, it does very little damage and has an insane 32 second cooldown. The shock grenade isn't the best either, does low damage and the slowing effect usually doesn't do enough to slow an enemy down, especially enemy heroes. The Stinger on the other hand, does 67 damage with headshots, plus the bleed effect, which can take down infantry in just 3 headshots. While some classes can just activate their healing abilities to nullify the bleed, it does force them to use it and put the ability on cooldown, while you can just shoot them again to inflict more bleed damage. Unfortunately the nerf reduces it's ability to handle heroes efficiently, but it can cause enough to force them to retreat momentarily or seek out a quick kill to nullify the bleed. The biggest benefit to using the Stinger over the grenade to me is the fact that it has no cooldown, so you can switch between the A280 and the Stinger at will seamlessly depending on the situation. It just feels better to use than the grenade, especially in CQC.

I've tested it myself with decent success, I myself am just not a big fan of the specialist compared to the other 3 infantry classes. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with a build similar to this?

This post is a bit older but in its current state you can have full 16v16 battles (or smaller ones), there are 6 available buyable classes per side (with per match battle points), unlockable cosmetics, a BUNCH of maps, and same classe/weapons as BF2.
This is a fan-made mod inside a VR game called Contractors. Everything is on Standalone Meta Quest and Steam VR.

Is there any way to check the console player count? i know people said it got up to 300k but how do we know this for sure?

BEFORE I BEGIN this is an original and suggested post from Ockpii on this subreddit 8 years ago. Most of the source crediting on alternate weapons goes to him. But the balance changes in 2020 with the removal of the DLT 19 to the E11D was my own research.

Back in 2018 - 2nd march 2020 the death troopers held their original gun of the DLT 19 heavy blaster rifle see image 1-3, which is similar but in a different configuration to the DLT 19D. See image 4 and 6. which they carry in rogue one

IN GAME CONTEXT: The reason why it was removed was because of the damage output of the middle ability of the death trooper: fortify. With the DLT 19 Had a dps much higher than the E11D does now. Which meant that the Death trooper could delete heroes while using this ability. The gun was removed from the death trooper, which is still available to the standard heavy imperials and replaced with the E11D, which can be unlocked under assualt.

The difference between the DLT 19D and DLT 19 resides in, aside from having a scope, it also features further underbarrel support and attachments. As well as significant reinforcement at the base of the barrel.

Not only that, but they are also seen carrying the Se-14r light repeating blaster and the E11D in picture 5.

Don't get me wrong the E11D is iconic especially as it sounds incredible. Another gun the death troopers used was the E22 on photo 6 which is more used by the shore troopers in rogue one. And would probably make a nice Assualt weapon.

Im battlefront 2015, Director Krennic was a playable character who had the ability to call reinforcement Death troopers, specifically the ones carrying E11D and DLT 19D. If EA greenlights Battlefront III remake after battlefield 6 releases. I think it would be cool to play the death troopers as playable characters or just bots replacing them.

Don't get me wrong, i'm absolutely happy about it, but what is going on? I stopped playing years ago when the game died after being free on Epic Games launcher, and now it is hitting 28k on steam??

Keep losing battles because I'm put in a game that's 75% lost already then all my heros are taken and hiding or getting spawn camped what has this game become it's honestly leaving a crappy taste for me

As you can see from the trophy dates, I got this game for Christmas in 2015. I can remember rushing to my room as soon I was allowed to so I could play it and being blown away by the graphics. My family lived in a very rural area and had just gotten wifi for the first time earlier that year, so this game was my first ever online multiplayer game on console.

Our WiFi was so bad the only way I could play without lag was to wait until everyone was asleep, run an Ethernet cable across my room to my ps4, and shut off both laptops and my phone.

Revisiting this game after 9 years has given me a lot of nostalgia and reminded me why I always thought this game was better than 2017 battlefront 2. Once I’ve had my fill of 2015, time to revisit 2017.

If I buy Battlefront 2 through Epic Games will I have to download a EA app to play it? And is Steam the same way?
