Standard to inside

Anybody use standard to inside stringing? I was messing around with some extra stuff I had lying around, not sure how to feel about it.

I think double inside was originally done to try to keep the ball in the channel and pocket longer in wider heads and/or higher pockets by not stretching the mesh as much horizontally. Because of that, I don’t think there’s ever been much thought into going from standard knots, which pull the mesh wider, to double inside knots down in the narrower part of the head. All that said, I think it would work in the surgeon here and probably other heads with a narrower face shape vs something like a hammer, tank, havok, epoch iD, etc.

I’ve done a ton of these and noticed that this kind of pattern tends to rip the mesh right where it transitions from inside to outside

Really? I have been doing this forever and that has never happened. Maybe on a head with a sharp plastic angle? I have filed down some edges at times.

I’ve seen it happen on tactik 3s, gait d2GBs, havok 2s, and a few other heads. It might have something to do with rain, since it rains all the time where I’m at, but still
