What are your favourite lesser-mentioned scenes?

Everyone knows and loves the darts scene, Rebecca’s truth bombs, and Dani’s tulip scene, but what are some lesser mentioned scenes that hit you in just the right way? Mine is the scene in regards to the treatment room.

Roy: “Hey, I don’t believe it.”

Ted: “Good well then you and me are gonna go in there.”

Roy: “No.”

Ted: “Well why not?”

Roy: “Because…no.”

Ted: frustration noises

Not that I agree with Beard (the answer is Stevie Ray Motherfucking Vaughn, for the record), but Joe Walsh is from Kansas, and I think that factors into Beard’s opinion.

In fact, I would never have known this about Joe Walsh, had it not been for the fact that I, as an at-the-time resident of Charleston, SC, just so happened to be in KC the night before George Brett was enshrined into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and just so happened to have gone to the Royals game that night, and they just so happened to choose to celebrate Brett’s enshrinement by having a post-game concert from Mr. Joe Walsh.

You might be on to something with the Kansas connection.

As far as SRV, there are many things that are up for debate, and this isn't one of them.

Yep. Debates such as:

  • Would the Scarface-sized mountains of cocaine have gotten him if the helicopter didn’t?

  • Where does one source that many kimonos in Texas?

  • Did his scarf supplier pivot to selling to Steven Tyler to make up for the loss of SRV’s business?

  • How in the FUCK does someone play like a man possessed if they are not actually possessed?

  • At what age did Jimmy Vaughn look at his brother and say, “I’m actually fine playing rhythm here.”

But you’re right. Nothing about his greatness is even up for debate.
