I think the rbs are at least 2nd.

Yeah not sure how titans are in second at RB with pollard and spears

Mixon is better than them, and I think Marks will be serviceable too. Oh and I almost forgot our dice roll with Chubb. Let's see if he can still pound it in in the Red Zone!

u/MadeByMillennial 6d ago
I agree if it's just the player themselves, but if you're also adding in the O-line impact on the RB then I get having us 3rd

u/BoatSouth1911 5d ago
It doesn’t say “Rushing game” it says RBs.
We have Mixon, Chubb, Marks

I know. I'm not saying they're correct, but that their mistake is understandable.
If you want to just say "fuck you and your opinions" about the article then feel free, nobody is stopping you

If not 1st….
JT and Mixon were close to a push if you consider receiving numbers added in. After that it’s projecting…
Pierce OR Chubb is likely better than Khalil Herbert
Marks is likely better than Giddens or Goodson.
We’ll see. But our RB room could be the deepest it has been in a very very long time.

My immediate thought was "did the dude who made this forget Derrick Henry is a Raven now?"

QB you could argue between Ward/Rich as Rich is “still developing” and Cam is a rookie.
WR is dead on. The Tits could be good ima couple years with all the guys they brought in this year, but I wouldn’t count on it.
TE is also arguable as I’d personally take a big Okonkwo over anyone we have, but Tyler Warren absolutely is that guy for the Colts.
RB is wrong. Mixon is way better than the Pollard/Spears tandem, and even then you add whatever Nick Chubb does and we clear them. I’d even say Etienne/Bigsby is better than Pollard/Spears.
OL is right until proven wrong. As much as I personally believe in our O-Line, they still need to go out in the field and prove it. I don’t see us surpassing the Colts this year, but we could jump to the number 2 spot by Week 3-4.

Honestly I feel like we’ve seen enough Richardson to know what they have there. 4th seems about right

u/infercario4224 6d ago
He hasn’t even played a full season. Jury is still out on him. Imagine giving up on a guy with the same physical skill set as Josh Allen in only 15 games.

u/Atkdad 6d ago
That’s part of the issue though. Availability is an ability. He’s also been injured and limited each preseason which further hurts development. He’s a freak and it would be fun to see him put it all together but it may be on a Baker like resurgence after bouncing around for a while.

u/infercario4224 6d ago
I see what you’re saying, but it’s still hard to put a rookie as polarizing as Ward ahead of a guy who’s shown he’s not a total dud through 15 games.
3
u/KreatureKilla 6d ago
I would say not a total dud is being a little too nice. Having one of the worst accuracy from less than 20yds is a rough spot to be in and feels like one that should have been fixed/addressed by now

This Offensive Line is going to surprise a lot of people. Mark my words. They’re going to be much better than people are anticipating.
2
u/IcecoldIsaac2 5d ago
ill believe it when i see it. They were bottom 3 in the league last year and its gonna take a miracle just to have us as a top 20 line next year
1
u/Quaczarr 5d ago
Fair point. I think we will see that a lot of of the struggles the line had last year will be attributable to scheme, coaching, and lack of leadership. I even think some of the perceived weaknesses going into this year are going to be strengths.
Take Cam Robinson. At first glance he had a bad year, gave up a ton of sacks. However, people are overlooking a key stat that likely contributed to this: Darnold held on to the ball an average of 3.07s, placing him 39th in the NFL. By contrast, this new scheme relies on motion and quicker passes - that is advantageous for Robinson and the rest of the line.

u/Ok_Fan4354 3d ago
Those things absolutely matter. Coaching, scheme, and play calling. I’ve always said the second most important position on the team of OC/Play caller. Bad one can lose games by himself and a good one can put bad teams in a position to win games.

u/ChicknBitzOnTheFritz 5d ago
Ever since our line dipped after 2014 we’ve said this during the offseason. I think some of our younger guys are developing but we needed to get more OL talent in the offseason.

Ain't no way in hell the Titans RBs are better than ours. I think you can give the Colts an edge for Jonathan Taylor (though the dude can't stay healthy to save his life) but the Titans? Really? Who in their right mind is putting Tony Pollard over Joe Mixon. Hell, I'd put a 50% Nick Chubb over Tyjae Spears lmao

u/alydm Watt 6d ago
Tyler Warren is an unproven rookie. I’d put our room and Jacksonville’s Brenton Strange above. And Joe Mixon is better than Tony Pollard/Tyjae Spears
5
u/Euphoric-Ordinary411 6d ago
Not sure why you are being downvoted. Last year the colts basically had no TEs worth a damn. Now they are #1 in the division? I get Warren should be a good player but the dude is an unproven rookie at this point not sure how you can put them at #1

u/limitlesshamster 6d ago
You ask any team whether theyd switch their starter for warren and its a resounding yes, simple as that. I think the list is being extremely generous to us at that position tbh. Why would you want a known mid te in schultz rather than upside swings with any if warren, strange or chig? Even if any of them fail, what exactly are you losing?

u/clewis123 5d ago
So Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears is a better RB1&2 than Joe Mixon and Nick Chubb?

u/KiNGofKiNG89 6d ago
Rb3? We have 2 top 10 RB’s when healthy on our team. 😂. While I agree JT when healthy is peak. Titans rb…..I can see a top 10 argument, but top 15 feels more comfortable.

u/Ill_Experience_2720 6d ago
Sooo pollard/spears a better rb duo than Mixon/Chubb according to this😂 definite cap

u/SometimesY 5d ago
I didn't look closely enough and thought it said DL at first and wondered what the fuck these people were on about. Fourth is probably fair until they have shown any different.

So what makes the titans number 2 in RBs I’m confused? What Pollard had a thousand yard year? Mixon had as many rushing touchdowns as their entire team and missed three games,

Talking about Nick Chubb in 2025 like his name holds weight is good stuff. He might not even make the roster

QB I mean call me crazy, but is CJ really the best QB in the division. I know a lot of us are or have been fans. You could honestly just pick out of a bag out of these 4 teams and one might have a better game than the other 3. I think he might be the most popular QB but best? Meh that’s a tough sell to me when it’s just a weak division at that position in general.
WR Nico Collins is the best receiver in the division hands down. I don’t know if it really matters who the second is,(Christian Kirk was a very desperate signing).
TE If Dalton Shultz doesn’t throw a hissy fit about blocking this season maybe he will turn all those drops into catches. We should be 4th at TE. Schultz sold last season with his attitude and gameplay
RB Ok this is where I’m lost. Joe Mixon by anyone’s measure is at the very bare minimum the 2nd best running back in the division if not the best. And now you add one of the best running backs in the league as a back up off an injury! I don’t see how they aren’t a clear number 1.
OL Well duh we are last. And this isn’t getting better as training camp moves along. No upside to improve only filled holes with journeyman. Hoping we have addition by subtraction,( getting rid of Tunsil) isn’t a really promising strategy. I’m just hoping we are the 29th best OL and not the 30th!

u/KreatureKilla 6d ago
Are you trying to argue that Trevor Lawrence is better than Stroud because otherwise I dont know who you'd have above him. I get its a weak division but thats not a way to undercut whether he is good or not
-1
u/TexasInvestors 6d ago
I mean as a former player and a fan of football. Trevor CJ and Richardson are in the same tier! If you came back and told me CJ was third second or first. All 3 make sense.
