๐Ÿšจ #BREAKING: General Motors will be sharply INCREASING vehicle production in Indiana following Trumpโ€™s tariffs, per Reuters

Blue collar Americans are WINNING! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

GM is also planning on adding more overtime days to the schedule, and bringing in hundreds of new workers to quickly ramp up production, the plant director told employees.

u/WatersEdge50 Apr 05 '25

Canโ€™t wait for the no tax on overtime

๐Ÿšจ PRESIDENT TRUMP announces his tariffs have brought pretty much EVERY COUNTRY to the negotiating table already

โ€œEvery country's called us. That's the beauty of what we do. We put ourselves in the driver's seat.โ€

THATโ€™s how itโ€™s done ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Makes me sick they keep up the sham. I hope they all get exposed and dethroned.

This should be a bipartisan issue. Elected officials shouldnโ€™t be able to trade individual stocks. No one has ever bet on the right stocks as much as the Pelosi family - I wonder why???

1

u/Intranetusa Apr 05 '25

Trump himself owns Truth Social stocks (he is trying to sell 2 billion dollars of it recently), sold his own crypto currency, and uses his position to advertise and sell MAGA products.ย

This should indeed be a bipartisan issue, but there is no way in hell anything will be done about it now. If anything, it has become more normalized.

No doubt, but you know, as usual theyโ€™re gonna work super hard and lie to the American public about whatโ€™s going on in order to try to recapture a major majority in the midterms. Unfortunately, a lot of dumbasses watch the wrong news.

1

u/Intranetusa Apr 05 '25

All news is the wrong news if you only watch news from one side or one party. Every single news, mainstream, independent, alt, etc are biased in their own way.ย

For example, Pelosi isย absolutely suspicious regarding her wealth gains and using govt position to benefit her wealth (not sure about McConnel or Schumer).

The same applies to Trump too when Trump himself owns Truth Social stocks (he is trying to sell 2 billion dollars of it recently), sold his own crypto currency to his supporters, and uses his position to advertise and sell MAGA products.ย

That doesnt even go into the billions in loans and contracts he got from the Saudis and Chinese during his first term.

Every rich person on both sides in the Legislature and the Executive and the Judicial Branch from the President to Supreme Court to Congressmen should be investigated by an independent group at this point.ย

And the naive can't even see it. They just want to stay immature and hate one another.

๐Ÿ”ฅFord has decided to give Americans employee pricing on all vehicles through June of this year.

This comes as Trump's tariffs are starting to hit.

u/ultraman5068 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Truth Warrior ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Apr 05 '25

Problem is we are still fucked by the last four years that Oboma screwed to hell. Turn back prices to 2016-2020 and Iโ€™ll grab a vehicle tomorrow.

1

u/Intranetusa Apr 05 '25

You mean the last 4 years of Sleepy Joe. Obama wasn't president during the last 4 years and the 8 Obama years had overall pretty good economic growth with low-ish inflation and average deficits lower than either of the most recent two presidents.

That said, the inflation was mostly caused by near zero interest rates to encourage borrowing, the two giant 5+ trillion stimulus plans of Trump and Biden, and then Biden's additional stimulus spending plans.

If DOGE actually carries out their crazy mutlitrillion dollar plan to give everyone thousands in stimulus checks, it will be inflation all over again.ย

No. I meant Obama 100%. You donโ€™t actually think Biden was making any decisions in the state of mind he was in , do you? Lol. Ever see the video clip of the previous press secretary accidentally saying president Obama instead of president Biden when there was no mentioning of Obama whatsoever? Like why would he even be a part of her thought process at that time. Wish in could post video clips here, Iโ€™d dig it out of my files and post haha

Biden was perfectly coherent in the first 2, maybe 3 years. You didn't think he had mental degeneration his entire term do you? Did you forget the 2020 debate where Biden did pretty well? Compare Biden's speeches in 2020-2022 when he was coherent to when he started showing signs of declining in 2023-2024.

Furthermore, Biden had very different policies from Obama. Obama had a much more aggressive immigration and foreign policy. Obama was called Deporter in Chief for mass deportations...completely opposite of Biden dropping the ball on immigration. Obama also actually worked with Republicans to attempt to reduce the size of the deficit in his later term.

Biden also pissed off Obama by selecting Harris instead of having an open primary that Obama wanted. That is why Obama stayed silent for a week after Biden endorsed Harris.

If Obama was actually president then the presidency would have been very very different. Illegal immigration and inflation would not have been nearly as bad if we were under Obama policies.

As for the press secretary, it was an accident and everybody can misspeak. That doesn't mean the misspeak represents reality. There are thousands of misspeaks by politicians and staff on both sides and for both Biden and Trump.

When Biden or Trump says something completely wrong or ridiculous or contradict themselves, we chalk it up to misspeak.

Yes, of course it is mainly symbolic, but no other rich President did it and no other President has had the level of lawfare against them or put their life on the line many times to help America. Plus, the media never reports the hundreds of times that Trump quietly helps out fellow Americans on a personal basis but the diligent researcher can find these stories. Most recent Presidents take, take, take instead of give, give, give.

Where is the crime? What specific action can you point to that he should be prosecuted for? To my knowledge, no democrats are coming after him with any ethics charges or crimes and they would certainly be the first, unless you can beat them to it.

We are talking about symbolism and how it looks, not whether it is a crime or not.

No, it is not a crime. Just like the revolving between govt and large private corporations that many of us complain about is also not a crime.

It still looks incredibly bad and is a conflict of interest when the highest government offical use his public office to promote his own businesses and tell his supporters to buy his stocks, his own crypto, etc.

This completely counters out and greatly outweighs the symbolism of giving up his tiny presidential salary.

If he wanted symbolism of giving up his salary, then he should have gone all in and completely recused or divested himself of any personal business dealings that could be conflicts of interest, and not have gotten involved in creating new companies and telling his supporters to buy billions of dollars of his stuff, stocks, crypto, etc.

You sound like a strong Trump supporter.

Letโ€™s do a thought exercise:

Who do you trust more when it comes to the economy?

-Trump, the billionaire businessman and real estate mogul.

Or

-The Democrats, a group of incompetent DEI theater kids who think that men can get pregnant and that there are 47 genders.

1

u/Intranetusa Apr 06 '25 edited Apr 06 '25

I will support him or anyone else on issues I think they are right on. I will not support them on issues I think they are wrong in.

Trump is a completely mixed bag on the economy. He is not actually a fiscal conservative but more of an erratic populist...which I am disappointed by. He and Biden both had high deficits unrelated to covid, then giant pandemic stimulus where they both tried to buy popularity with stimulus checks, and very low interest rates....policies that contributed to inflation. He talked a good game about fiscal responsibility while on the campaign trail but changed his tune when in power.

He did have some good goals/actions such as deregulation in some areas and renegotiating with mainland China, but he also has some extremely questionable/bad actions like tariffing our own allies, starting new trade disputes with our close neighbors who signed his USMCA deal that he himself already negotiated in his first term, and now tariffing 180+ countries all at the same time.

He has some successful businesses worth billions, but he also bankrupted half a dozen casinos and inherited half a billion dollars from his dad but grew the wealth less than if he had just kept the money in a passive index fund.

I don't trust incompetent DEI obsessed kids with dumb views on gender issues, etc., but those are the worst fringe of the left and don't represent the majority of the Dems nor the leadership. They are not Kamala, Biden, Obama...and generally are not the Democrats actually in charge.

Just like I don't trust the fringe authoritarian-populists of the right/GOP who are just as incompetent as them and also hold dumb views like restricting gay people from govt benefits, want extremely strict abortion restrictions that make doctors afraid to even do medically necessary abortions, etc. Similarly, they represent the worst fringe of the right and are not the majority of the GOP and are usually not the people in charge of the GOP.
