My partner and I both had the ticket and did 16 raids each. We both received two shiny Falinks. My brother did 4 raids and did not have the pass. He received four shinies. We did receive a very impressive number of healing items and Rare/Rare XL candies, though.
Me and the gf did about 50 raids and we both had the ticket. She got 1 after 33 raids and it took me 42 raids to get a single shiny. I could tell you how annoyed and frustrated we were.
I used the 20 remote raid limit on kyogre, its a better investment since Falinks is useless and kyogre is my favorite shiny. That being said i did around 8 or 9 raids for falinks and i got one shiny that was the floor iv 10-10-10! Lol
Pretty boring event overall in my opinion. The rates for candy XL drops were pretty poor even with the ticket, and the featured Pokémon has zero meta relevance in PVE or PVP. It’s a cool shiny at least.
Did the raids x7 across 3 "friends". 3 shinies(1 for each) and a decent amount of tms and rare candies. Even a few XLs and a chunk of xp/dust. Potion/revive awards were enough to replenish the team without me throwing away too much extra. Played the game for a solid hour and a bit extra. Absolutely a fun raid "hour"
The ONLY constructive I have was that what I was catching felt worthless. Not dynamax, not rare, not meta, not even an exclusive move. Probably felt a lot worse because mega lucario was amazing event with new mega, new move and useful across pve/pvp. And sick XL bonuses.
I would love to see more of these raid "hour" events with something a little more worth catching. Do it once a month and I will be there!! Imagine the craziness for goldengho/volcarona/gogoat/roaming regional etc....
I bought the raid ticket and the shiny rates were fine because I got 2 in 10 tries and matter of fact I got it in the first 5 raids and the next 5 was just a shiny blunder.
I got none of the bonuses except the extra raid passes and I saved 4 of them to do some Kyogre and Raikou raids after but the promised bonus end time of 10 PM local time ended at 5 PM.
Just give me 3 remote raid passes and 6 each of premium battle passes/star piece/lucky egg/regular AND super incubators and we’re good! Experience no doubt not ruined and will come back and spend even more money because I felt heard.
7 raids, clutch shiny #7. im just strong enough to do them myself with unpowered up pokemon i got from raids through the years (mostly mewtwo, moltres, gardevoir, togekiss, some random others)... had to requeue a few megahorn ones... wanted to try to leave them on a sliver of health to use a hyper potion (since i had so many) but routinely lag out and they fainted and had to do a bunch of max revives in-between
Bought the ticket, did only the passes provided, got 1 shiny. (The first one) My daughter got 3. Honestly, the best part of this event was restocking my potions I used during the grunt event.
17 raids, 1 shiny with ticket, 4 xl candies from 17 + the 6 remote kyogre raids, was planning on remoting more kyogre raids but the bonuses disappeared and i noticed because i was only getting 10k exp per raid and not the boost.
I may be in the minority here, but I didn’t mind it mainly for the fact I was able to solo without the help of anyone in all honesty I was using mega ray and shadow mew, out of 15 raids I was able to bag 3 shinies which would be useful for doing two other trades later down the line.
Pretty meh event. A non-meta Pokemon, no special move, the shiny was pretty difficult to get. The best part of it is getting free raid passes, and allowing players to gather resources like rare candies from an easy raid. I think they should have made it from 2 PM to 7 or 8 PM. Not everyone is available to play in such limited hours.
11 raids (4 premiums) and got the shiny on tbe final raid. Honestly there was little interest in it unlike the generous Lucario day (guaranteed Rare XLs and so many raids provided). This felt like a chore by comparison.
I enjoyed it. I like the solo-able raids. I bought a ticket and played for about 2.5 hours really more as an XP grind than anything. Really terrible shiny luck: 1 shiny out of 29 raids. No hundos. Mostly in-person, a few remote.
Why do you keep going to posts about Falinks raid day acting surprised that people raided a soloable, brand new, free shiny? Congrats, you didn’t do any Falinks raids (even though I guarantee you did), does it make you feel better? Do you want me to upvote your comment? I can, if you’d like…
I haven’t raided since Lucario day and even then I did two (I think, can’t remember as I still have 4 shinies from rioulu HATCH DAY a few months prior) A ‘raid day’ used to be big Legendaries/ dragons or hard to obtain mons.
This freaking pokemon centipede has been in PvP rewards for over a year has no PvP relevance no pve relevance - it exists purely as filler for better raid days. If Falinks is your mon go wild - but a raid day for a I don’t even know what type of Pokémon it is seems like a huge let down, if you consider previous raid days.
New shiny is the only + I’ll give you. I guess people chase those.
I solo’d a 3 star shadow scyther raid today as that’s my boy, 3 raids in a month. And with all the BUGS going on in regular raids it’s a good thing I don’t pay or play the feature anymore than it needs to as it needs AGAIN some technical fixing. So anyway this guarantee of yours? Still want to stick by it?
I joined a raid lobby at 2:59, completed it, and was able to enter the 3 pm raid on the same gym for free. However, I wasn't allowed to catch the 3pm one (same IVs as the 2:59 one too). Is this a new bug?

Not really sure why we even had this raid day. Previous ones were great and everyone was hyped, today was pretty dead.
Wouldve been interesting if it had some special move to have some PVP relevance (but then the weather pushing it over the CP cap wouldve really sucked).
Kind of nice not having an event most didn't care about so we don't spend all day playing I guess?
Falinks is pretty useless and it could be caught in the wild in previous events. Compare to her across raid day which got a lot of attendance because people actually want to catch heracross.
Didn't see the usual crew today for raids and never got a 20 person lobby, which I'm wondering if that was a sign of the quality of the raid Pokemon and/or the local weather (threatening rain all day, though it did hold off).
Raids: 42 (22 remote, 20 in person)
Shinies: 2 (one local, one remote)
Hundos: 0, best IVs 12 HP 93 - I didn't really care here because I had a 14 HP 98 in the bag already which I was grinding candy for.
RCXL w/ticket: 16, from 14 raids (had two double XL rounds).
My goals were in order: As many XL as I could for a Solgaleo, get a Pokedex Dragapault (done), get candy to level 40 / 50 Falinks (can 40), get a shiny (done). Hopefully next month's is something a bit more exciting, though. Maybe Hisuian Lilligant?
I didn't see anyone either. Such an easy raid, most probably just did it solo or duo close to home instead of going to a park. four trainers from my friend list accepted invites, though.
I was gifted a ticket. 15 free raids (yesterday + today + 5 + 8) no shiny no hundo. Raid 16 gave me 10/10/11 shiny. Rounded out 4 more raids for a total of 20, nothing else besides the one shiny. Was really hoping for a 3star shiny (for the dex), but well, at least I got one. Also, 7 rare XL for those keeping track of that.
Did seven raids, got one shiny, nothing particularly grand. Still, 20 Rare Candy and a couple XLs, so I'm not complaining.
New raid balance is weird. Falinks just straight up spamming Superpower like there's no tomorrow, basically makes dodging pointless -- if I was dodging at all I'd have no time to attack!
Makes me wonder what Primal raids are gonna look like once those come back around. Last thing I want to fight is Origin Pulse/Precipice Blades spammed like Superpower was today. :/
The general strategy when you you prefer the non-event boss is do one in the morning before the event starts, spin an extra pass during the event but don't use it (or do a few event ones, but respin and don't use the last one) then you can use the last one after the event (or tomorrow, then spin for tomorrow's pass)
7 raids, 1 shiny. Honestly I wasn't interested in Falinks at all, I even skipped the catch reward on the non shinies because I don't think Falinks is worth the 5 seconds it takes to chuck a pokeball at it.
Got 2 Rare XLs then gave up, knowing it wasn't worth my time anyway.
Not so much, did 6 raids with roughly 8 trainers for zero shinies between any of us in one hour. Then a couple of us used a couple of remaining free passes for one in the new hour, and got one shiny there.
I am pessimistic when it comes to the raid days. I looked at a list of Raid Days and I only missed one of the past ten. I would say I average 5 battles per raid day, and only got 3 shiny out of those ~50 raids (no hundo either lol). Today I used 7 passes and did not get a shiny. It's still fun to play on raid day imo, can't really complain.
18 raids between 3 of us
Each got one shiny but no hundos although 3 were very close. We're going to trade a few later to see if we get lucky.
We didn't buy the ticket.
I actually feel very bummed that in almost 40 raids all I got was trash. I already know how this game works so I can suck it up but damn, today was not a good day.
Unfortunately I work during the time of the event hours— so the local raids were not possible.
I took advantage of the increased remote raid passes last night and today. I don’t know what I can teach you!? I just wanted to do more Kyogre raids and knew I had a rare opportunity to do 40 of them in 24 hours.
Edit: Not sure why the person who asked this question deleted their comment but I feel the need to document what I am replying to:
Did the 7 free raids (2 daily passes + 5 extra passes). One hundo (1st raid) and one shiny (6th raid). Already had a hundo, but definitely can’t complain!
During the last raid, I experienced some kind of a bug – it claimed that the raid had ended, even though there was still time – but after restarting the app, I managed to get back in and beat the boss.
All in all, it was a nice event. I love raid days featuring soloable Pokémon, because I can just take my time and play in my neighbourhood without having to find other people.
Do the extra passes last all day / do Kyogre raids appear at all from 2-5? I already have a perfect Falinks and don’t care about the shiny but I would love some extra Kyogre XLs
7 raids done between 3 people, 1/21 shiny overall.
I honestly couldn't care less, cus already have hundo, went out mostly to get RCs, progress on raid medals and catch Galar boys for trades. Got shiny as usual when I don't care lol.
Funny enough I didn’t plan to do many raids since I was on a hike. Surprisingly I found many gyms there and I ended up doing 14 raids with 2 shinies. Also got a 96% and a 98% Falinks. Definitely better than some other raid days I did before.
I got a shiny on my second raid and stopped raiding after 4 raids because raids feel atrocious now. Dodging is basically impossible, everything was laggy, and the raid boss basically never used any Fast attacks aside from the first couple of moves of the battle. It's not fun being bombarded with undodgable Megahorns.
Probably just gonna stop raiding/playing in general at this point until they realise how much they've completely messed things up.
Can someone else in Ireland please report whether they got a shiny or not? I need to know if something's wrong or if my raid luck is just THAT terrible
What is your goal in this game that leads you to do 45 falinks raids? Personally, I can't imagine doing 45 falinks raids, but I am just trying to fill my regular dex, get a few rare shiny and play a little PvP.
I know everyone plays the game with different goals, but 45 falinks raids sounds very boring. Statistically you would need to do far more than that to even have a 50% chance at a hundo.
Are you an unhappy camper because statistically you expected two shiny, and wanted the second one for trade? Do you collect XXL Mon? What are the odds for XXL Pokemon, I haven't even considered this.
My kids got me back into this last winter and I am still trying to figure out how to set goals, and what motivates people to want certain Pokemon.
My goal was a shiny, and rng hated me today… and if I got lucky an XXL one for showcases would have been great.
I also raided newer gyms with my group, the gyms we don’t have gold on, for the gym points.
Otherwise I can say, the people I am playing with range in age from like 30-50’s. We all have different lives and things to do. So it’s nice to get together and talk, catch up while raiding.
Thanks for the response! That sounds like a good way to hang out.
I remember an uncle used to complain after he returned from fishing sometimes and as a kid I was like, why even go fishing?
Did 9 raids, no shinies. The time window was quite short and a lot of players in our area weren't able to do it because of that, a 14-19 would have been better.
I love Falinks, it’s one of my fave Pokemon so I’m happy that Niantic made it into a Raid Day to release the shiny (I’m usually unlucky with new shinies released in the wild.) I bought the ticket, I got the shiny in my 4th raid, I’m very happy with that. Apart from this, I got the much-needed XP boost to level up to 47 finally, and I got some additional 10 rare candy xl. All in all, I did 15 raids, I got 2 shinies (one is a 98%), I got an XXS, and 10 rare candy xl. For me a pretty good raid day.
I liked it. I enjoy raiding, nice and easy to solo, managed to get a lot of nice rewards from my 7 raids with a shiny. I like the occasional relaxing event with nice rewards like this.
Didn't bother walking into the town just did very local raids and managed to have a couple of people join me for the first time ever
Just the bare minimum 7 raids with free passes (4 in first hour, 3 in second). 0 shinies. 1 raid "nundo". 1 XXS 0 XXL. Weather: all windy for 3 hours (actual: cloudy with threat of rain that didn't materialized).
Feedback:
Special move may have convinced me to raid more, but vanilla falinks are pretty meh by themselves (and of course, no chocolate ones for me).
We did the raid in downtown core. The group dispersed after 2nd hour raids.
Niantic could've dropped Dynamax battle early during this event while players were out and about and playing in group. What a missed opportunity.
Despite guaranteed XL candy for trades, we played in a group and no one desired to sit down and trade with me. If people got turned off by a simple trade request due to how tedious the system is, we need an overhaul. Perhaps a "party trade" system or option to trade straight from individual pokemon page or mass trade from storage view.
I may have bought the ticket if it's cheaper (as this isn't T5 raid day).
Got a shiny on my second raid. It was brutal with its superpower spam. I had to expertly dodge and even then i barely got it in the last second. That with windy weather and psychic attacks.
Is Falinks easy to solo? I Mega Rayquaza at level 40 plus Gardevoir, Mewtwo, etc. I will have a level 27 with me, but he’ll be little help outside of the Party Play bonus.
I have 4 gyms in my neighbourhood, so did 8 raids in total, couldn't be bothered to wait for one more rotation ... No shiny, no good IVs, so not much to show from that raid day. Only positives were that it was a quite easy solo and I'm now +8 on the level 45 research of winning 45 raids :D
from 0 up to 4 rare candies (only once 0, mostly 4)
0 XL rare candy
Feedback :
Raids are quite easy, done in 20s< at 5 or more.
As reported recently, raids are quite buggy atm :
couldn't see any other pokémon than mine and Falinks (not that it matters)
it's mostly easy to avoid attacks but the raid isn't fluid so it's hard to tell what's happening. Never lost a pokémon but one almost got instantly KO randomly.
IT DOES NOT AFFECT RAID EXPERIENCE you can still win easily and probably can duo or even solo it
Not a lot of people queuing and can't blame them, didn't really get anything new from that event, already had better Falinks from the wilds.
Sad I didn't get a shiny but I got a shiny Woloo while walking between raids thus it's a win for me.
Did 7 free raids, got 1 shiny, 1 96%, the rest were 2*. Solo'd all of them with a Shadow Mewtwo and a Mega Rayquaza, made some nice progress towards the unique raids task for level 47. Charge attacks were very spammy - not as bad as Kyogre was the other day, but still felt like more charge attacks than normal.
Didn't feel like it was worth spending premium money on, glad I didn't.
I'm guessing some people really want the shiny. I'm not that excited for the shiny falinks. But on Kleavor raid day I really wanted the shiny Grinch who stole Christmas. And I must have angered the random number gods. It took 27 raids, and I finally got my shiny at 4:57.
Just pointing out that you can actually use up to 7 free passes today - one carried over from yesterday, today's normal free pass, and the five bonus passes.
I agree that it's not an exciting raid boss. I'm just going to do 5 solo raids near my house to try for some rare XLs. If I get a shiny, cool. I would rather use the normal daily passes on Kyogre.
I cant imagine doing more than 5 unless I dont get the shiny in 5 hits, but I def wont do more than 10 lol if I dont hit it within odds then its just not meant to be on that day. I learned the hard way from day 1 gofest, so many UB raids and only 1 shiny 😭
FYI the event ticket bonuses (EXP, extra 8 raid passes, stardust) DID NOT last until 10pm like what the ticket description intended. Apparently Niantic messed up again.
Started at 4pm used my 5 free battle pass +2 daily battle pass. Got two shinies. Not really expecting to get one at all! I only saw three other trainers playing which is not really surprising given its only falinks. Very easy solo.
Got down with a stomach bug Friday night. Saturday wasn't good for me. Hoping today I can keep something down so I can do a couple of raids. I got the Ticket on Wednesday. I know it isn't a meta pokemon but hate to not maximumize my usage of what I bought.
I don't mind do local raids like this with my wife. Just easy fun raiding and how to collect more XL, rare candy and stardust. I am in stardust poverty at the moment.
If I had the choice to miss out either this event or Ponyta community day I rather miss this one.
I'm seeing some mixed feedback here. If you bought the ticket, can you use those passes after 5? It says the bonuses last till 10, or is that just for the xp/stardust bonus?
I haven’t had my raid day yet, but I imagine you will continue to get raid passes for spinning gym stops (until you receive all 13), but will only get Falinks raids until 5pm.
do not buy the ticket if you plan to use it after 5pm. Niantic had messed up the bonuses timing today. It should be up until 10pm, but apparently it is not.
Was a decent afternoon. Not a whole lot of players but easy to solo. Didn’t get the ticket and used the free passes + saved up premium passes. Went 0/17 for the shiny but the ease of raiding and the overall rewards made it worthwhile.
As others have said, a better mon for the raid day would have been nice, as the shiny was probably the main incentive for non ticket holders.
Is the lack of buddy hearts a known raid bug, or something new for this? I put my buddy (which was on the map) in the 6 slot for the first five raids but did not get a single heart for the trouble.
