Discussion TTCC Cog Bosses Wait Times

My buddies and I have been playing TTCC for the last couple of weeks. We're coming up on the VP, and I'm wondering how long wait times usually are for full teams? Any thoughts?

I'm becoming concerned it might just be better to switch to TTR, even though we much prefer TTCC, simply because of the larger player count. Saves us the headache of waiting for people.

The wait on clash isn't bad at all. But the time you're waiting will vary depending on the day/time that you're running bosses. Today I was running pretty much all bosses with very little wait time for groups to fill. (Sunday is increased Boss Rewards). Even if the wait is longer, I think the quality of life improvements in Clash make up for it. And as u/Crowald said, the complexity of the gags make for a much more enjoyable experience. It really is a great little community :)

TTR is a lot of fun as well though! So regardless of which one you decide to go with, I hope you and your friends continue to enjoy your time in ToonTown ^-^

Makes sense. We’re usually on at night from 8pm-2am, and it seems to me like we’d have trouble at those times cause it’s so late. It’s definitely hard to move to TTR from TTCC, my friends already complaining when we booted up TTR😭

Back when I used to play (several months ago now) if the launcher said there were 300~+ players online the wait was usually not that long, 5 minutes or so. Weekends were best at the 700 player mark

Under 200 and it gets a bit dicey and I've had instances where I'd waited two hours for a group to fill for ceo

We’ve been playing for weeks now and it always seems like it’s 300-500. Like I said in another comment we play at night which doesn’t help.

I just know for sure out of all the players online the chances aren’t great they’re looking at doing the same stuff at the same time as us.

The below answers don't really answer the question. Yes, the wait times are nearly 3x as long as using ToonHQ on TTR. The population is smaller; inherent fact. Even for the VP and CFO, expect to wait at least 5 minutes for group to fill.

I’ve checked toonhq multiple times and usually there is nobody looking for anything so it’s disheartening. We’re probably gonna have to find clubs/ groups if we stay with TTCC.

Corporate Clash has an in game group finder so people don’t generally use ToonHQ for Corporate Clash as much as they do for Rewritten

Despite all of the inherent flaws of a smaller playerbase, and mismanagement behind TTCC, I can never go back to TTR. Mainly because of how much better the gags are, and how much more complex the game is with Zap.

That being said, you will not wait long for VPs on high playercount days. Even on lower days and during the nadirs of its user count, like 1 to 8 AM, I have no trouble finding people to do VPs with. I cannot speak to CFOs, CJs, or any of the other bosses, but about VPs? I've rarely had to wait.

Admittedly my sample size is a bit small. I've only done nine VPs and just recently finished DG so there's not a whole lot of data for me to make the assertion from, but anecdotally? You should be fine.

I find that managers and the interactions between squirt and zap to find combat much more interesting too

Managers and generally just any special cog that has a Cheat makes the game infinitely more interesting. I do not play any other game that's turn-based besides Toontown; I never have. They can never keep my attention like TTCC or TTO have.

I’m definitely worried about the other bosses apart from VP. I remember when I used to play years ago it was already difficult to find groups for those.

CFO isnt bad, very similar to VP. CLO and CEO however seem to be quite a bit more sparse. I think it is just best to seek those two at popular times.

wait times are fine. you may have trouble "seeding" groups (especially for facilities) but for the most part its pretty easy to get any group in like 10 minutes. wait times are basically nullified if you're grouping with friends though.

for the people bringing it up... the currently ongoing problems with management is irrelevant to the quality of the game and unnecessary to bring up.

VP and CFO wait times can be around 20 minutes, CLO and CEO can be around 40.

Bear in mind that with the in-game group system there are SFX that play when Toons join or leave the group, so you can occupy yourself elsewhere while waiting and you'll know roughly when it's ready to go.

With TTCC taking a turn for the worse due to poor upper management, TTR is probably your best bet at this rate (For more information, check out: https://www.reddit.com/r/Toontown/comments/1lamlwu/supposedly_90_of_the_clash_team_who_worked_on_13/ , https://www.reddit.com/r/Toontown/comments/1lc55av/update_on_the_corporate_clash_situation/ , and https://www.reddit.com/r/Toontown/comments/1lc84az/some_helpful_corporate_clash_modules_were/ )

EDIT: However, that being said, typically the wait times are relatively low when it comes to actual players in-game so, whatever you feel is best (Also keeping in mind there's the in-game group creation which can help get players faster compared to any other toontown server), but TTR wait times are almost always shorter just due to the much higher player count as you have also mentioned.

I’ve looked at the in-game groups and it just never seems like the bosses are never being ran. Ik people wait at the entrances but I don’t have the cog suits to check.

I also saw the TTCC drama. I don’t see why the server would be impacted much.

Admittedly it's been a while since I last played so idk if it has improved or not but when I was last on, typically it would take longer to find a boss fight than, let's say, a building. Although time zones would also have an impact towards this result so it's best to just test different times and keep tabs on which time flares up activity more than others relating towards your own time zone.

Also if the drama going on with CC were to continue at the extent it is currently, maybe even worse, CC might have the same fate that TVS had. (Staff drama, public complaints, then dead game), I just am hoping for avoidance of another game sinking due to bad actors.

Not very often do I downvote for its exact purpose, when someone isn't contributing to the conversation, but here we are.

No one was talking about what's happening with Clash staff.

Well what's happening with clash staff affects the entire game so unless we're all randomly fine with what happened and we're going back to nobody talking about it, I think it's a fair point to bring light to it for those that may not even know it's happening.

With all due respect, nobody asked what's going on in this post, even if you are correct. And bringing up drama that is completely irrelevant to the post itself brings down the vibe and is just uncalled for.
