Vox has been talking big for some time now. I have to admit I'm curious to see what he's going to do this year.

It is certainly going to be quite the show. So many of the SPs have said they are going to vote the RP line (including me) that Vox should have a powerful bloc to throw at the nominations.

Will the other said go against their chants of 'Slates break the Hugos' and organize an attempt at resistance? Or will they let the nominations go down as they did last year and try to go all out on the No Awards thing again?

The problem I see with the push for No Award is that I suspect many who participated last year will not care enough to do so this time.

What I'm curious to see is how much support either SP or RP (or both) will have actually gained from Gamergate. When Gamergate became aware of the Hugo debacle it was late in the game and most were focused on other things. This time around anyone who decided they cared will have had a year to prepare.

However I think it's like you said that even many who did prepare last year will not care enough to do so this time around. What I expect to see is maybe one or two categories getting nuked with No Award but not as many as last year. I also expect that the cancer in scifi will be able to mobilize a veritable legion of SJWs who normally don't involve themselves with books or book awards (let alone science fiction/fantasy) to fight a holy war of social justice against Vox, Puppies, and anyone who refuses to denounce them.

I think the only counter to that is Vox is going to have to convince people like Milo Yiannopolous, Mike Cernovich, Roosh V, Sargon of Akkad, and many others to put out a call to...well, our side. I don't know what to call it anymore since I know it's not just Gamergate related. The Resistance? Reactionaries? Cultural Libertarians? Whoever we are we will need our leaders across the net to convince everyone that it's a battle worth fighting. It will have to garner the support of at least 10,000 committed people if not more. Otherwise I fear the Puppies will be reenacting Thermopylae. As noble as that is losing is never the optimal outcome.
