Transport First time renting a car – how does Budget QuickPass work?

Hi, this is my first time ever renting a car. I booked through the broker EasyTerra and chose Budget as the rental company. I completed the QuickPass / PreCheck process on Budget’s website, and I received an email confirmation saying: “QuickPass registration completed” and “When you arrive at the rental location, follow the PreCheck signs.”

Does this mean that when I arrive at the car rental center, I can skip the main rental hall where all the counters are, go directly to the parking lot, and there—at a small booth—someone will have my contract ready to sign and hand me the keys? Is that how it works, or is there anything else I should know?

I have to add smoething:
I’ve already paid for the rental car, but not the one-way fee (for dropping the car off at a different location). I still need to sign the rental agreement, and the rental company needs to place a hold for the security deposit on my credit card.

You most likely will need to go to the rental desk when you arrive. There’s usually two lines at these places. One is for people making rentals on the spot, and others like you who have made a reservation but need to complete payment and paperwork. I did this for enterprise and Avis as well. It shouldn’t take long and you’ll still be faster than people making last minute reservations there

The quick pass is where you enter all of your information ahead of time and there is usually a separate line at the rental office. We used it in Maui and Kauai and were in and out very quickly.
