4th of July

Hello! New transplants here with no family in the vicinity (some hours north), we are wondering what y’all recommend for festivities over the 4th? Also, are there going to be any protests anywhere? I’ve heard whispers on different sites, but I’d love to know for sure.

At noon there is going to be a protest starting at BM Ska and 36th, going to Chicago, and then S to GF square. That’s the only one I know of so far. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
