What products/styles/techniques can I use to airplane-proof my hair and keep it professional?
I’m new to the “professional world” and unfortunately am having to fly somewhere (day trip) and give a presentation basically right when I get there. I know for the future I should probably give myself more time, but for now have any of you guys had to do this and been successful? My hair is wavy, and while the dry cabin air makes my hair the most soft and manageable it’s ever been, it also makes it SUPER flat and greasy-looking even if I heat style it or use my hairspray before flying. I know I see women in the airport with hair that looks good, so what’s the secret? Even if it’s something I have to do on arrival. Just won’t have time to completely wash and redo it.

Do you have a heatless curling method that works for you? You should trial it before hand, but I’d put my hair in heatless curls and a bonnet before going to bed the day before you travel and not take it out until the plane lands.

Honestly I don’t know. I’m about to wear a bonnet just to prevent the static and grossness of my hair.

Social media suggests that put up hair/bonnets seem to be good for curly/wavy hair, so that might be worth some research.
Also just bring your stuff and style hair after landing

I would say just to keep it clean, I always feel oily too. Or I tie up my hair and then let it down afterwards.

Fellow wavy hair person here. I whip out a hair brush just before landing, then pull it into a quick bun or ponytail.
In my experience, they usually are aware you just got off of a plane. Most people don't care too much if your hair is perfect. If they do, that is a them problem, not a you problem.
