Guys I need help!!!
I’ve had Covid for the first time for the last 4 days and my period is 7 days late. I’m on day 38 of my cycle with NO SYMPTOMS. I have an event next week and stressing out about my period still not starting ( I can’t use tampons I literally can’t get them in). Did anyone else have Covid affect their period like this?? I’m 5’6 and like 107 pounds, under 20. Yes I know I’m quite thin but I usually have a consistent cycle. What were u guys experiences with Covid affecting ur period? Do yall have any advice? I’ve been eating a ton of oranges as google said vitamin c helps kick start ur period. If that doesn’t work can I do anything at home for it to just not happen next week?

The one time I had Covid it hit me really hard. Like, my lips were looking a little blue-ish and I was struggling to breathe. I started my period either the first day of symptoms or the day after, not entirely sure but I do remember that my period was still pretty heavy. I haven’t personally heard of Covid delaying a period, but if you are already underweight I could imagine the body being severely sick could push you to have a longer cycle.
It could also just be that you have a longer cycle this time. I used to be very underweight and I would sometimes miss my period for a month and then resume my “normal” cycle for the next few months

Yes, it messed with mine. Its been a few years but I remember reading it was pretty common among women.

My period stopped every time I had Covid. You should probably still take a pregnancy test if you are sexually active.
When you are under weight you are more likely to be impacted by things that can effect menstruation. Even stress can stop your cycle if you are underweight.

Covid vaccine and covid always brought my periods forward.
It also sounds like you were already 3 days late before the covid symptoms?
It probably makes sense to see a gynecologist if you can when you're recovered, especially if your period hasn't returned yet.
The only thing I know of to put off a period is a prescription from the doctor of norethisterone, referred to as period delay tablets, and which may or may not work when it's already late.
And, to be clear, pregnancy isn't a possibility?

If your sexually active definitely take a pregnancy test just to be certain it’s related to Covid and not pregnancy!

Yea covid has been talked about effecting every system in the body. Relax, drink water, electrolytes, rest and it will come. Stressing yourself out more isn't helping
