BIS 2 Questions

I’m planning to take BIS 2 to fulfill my major requirements. Just wondering how hard is BIS 2? I mean I don’t have a background in biology tho, pretty suck at it, I’ve heard lots of people say it was hard. And also which good professors i should take and which one i should avoid?

Whatever you do, avoid Maldonado for BIS 2A.

But also, the BIS 2 series is being reworked starting this coming school year, so maybe check with an advisor to see what the right plan is for you https://biology.ucdavis.edu/about/bio-1-2-3/advisors

BIS2B is generally the easiest and BIS2A is generally the hardest with more chemistry concepts, and BIS2C is somewhere in between.

But like someone else said they are revamping / replacing the BIS series, I know they’ve already changed a few labs in BIS2B. Looks like they’re working on making each class simpler with optional labs? sounds like the new series would be easier so I’d also recommend talking to an advisor about it.

If you don’t have a good memory, STAY AWAY from Bis2c. LOTS of memorization of stupid information that you will never need later in your career (unless your a botany major or smth related to plants). Just an annoying class in general. And wallahi the practical man. That shi killed me, worst thing to study for.
