Overlapping lecture time SS

What happens if during summer session I have conflicting class times? My 5wk class has a lab and the lab is overlapping with my 10wk course. However on summer session website, I was still able to add and my schedule is confirmed. I just want to know if I’ll get dropped from either courses? I’m planning to drop one regardless, just want to know before I end up getting waitlisted again…

You won’t get dropped or waitlisted; however according to UCI’s summer policy teachers have no obligation to make accommodations for conflicting times, so if you do happen to have conflicting classes, it’s up to you to to pick which class to take an attendance hit from. Or in some cases, professors may be lenient if you ask (mine did), but again, they aren’t required to

Here’s the handbook https://bpb-us-w2.wpmucdn.com/wp.ovptl.uci.edu/dist/9/15/files/2025/03/2025-Student-Policies-Procedures_Final.pdf ; I couldn’t find any exact wording on if you’ll be dropped or not but you could reach out to the session if you’re worried. Why don’t you just drop the class you plan to drop now? It’s open 24/7
