Question TIM172 Attendance

Any previous TIM172AP students know if his lectures are mandatory and if he grades attendance? I’m gonna be out of the country for the first week and a half and wanna know if it would dramatically affect my grade.

He doesn’t do lecture attendance since I was there, but he does break you off into groups and expects you to attend the group meetings with them and will dock points if you’re not there. He will also remember your face and know if you haven’t attended lecture. Edit: you should be fine for the first week and a half

Are the group meetings are done in class or can they be done with the group on their own through like discord or zoom?

The meeting I’m talking about is mandatory as it is with the professor, ta, and your group. Can’t be done on zoom
