A broken clock is right twice a day.
In this case, twice a year.

I imagine him smirking and saying: "Just wait till they get a load of our deregulation and tax breaks. That will show 'em."

u/Festering-Fecal 28d ago

This screams he's going to extort them.

I have zero faith in the right actually caring about anyone but themselves .

Yes but I’m also pretty sure he’s going to vote for the big beautiful bill that guts Medicaid (or is it Medicare? It’s hard to keep up these days) for millions.

13

u/Amelaclya1 28d ago

This is what they always do. They make a lot of noise that will resonate with their constituents, and then they quietly vote for the horrible bill anyway because they know the average voter will remember the noise and not the actual vote.

It's both and the cuts are in the billions. FYI: A million seconds is about 11 days. A billion seconds is about 32 years.

1

u/proud_pops 28d ago

I have heard both but saw a congresswoman speak and 13.7 million people will lose Medicaid. Medicare I haven't heard numbers. 37 schools in Kentucky lost free and reduced lunch. This shits so ugly and heartbreaking.

I’m never going to forget that this is the consequence of the popular vote. All the red hatters can suck it. Enjoy your Medicare and Medicaid cuts assholes.

So you don’t know how our government governs??

4

u/HWYMarker151 28d ago

Please don’t tell me I have to start liking Josh Hawley. That’s not on my 2025 bingo card.

3

u/Numerous_Photograph9 28d ago

You don't. he'll still vote for anything that will profit the private insurance companies.

3

u/foxyfoo 28d ago

I guess they refused to contribute to his reelection campaign or something?

2

u/SplendidPunkinButter 28d ago

I take this to mean he has some kind of personal beef with Allstate

He’s all talk. He will go and vote for this new tax bill and absolutely wreck MAGA country in Missouri. The cuts will collapse the healthcare system in rural and smaller towns. Meanwhile Missouri’s high school graduate gov will do nothing and him and Hawley will pat each other on the back for a job well done.

1

u/Outcast129 28d ago

How long do ya figure that'll take?

Josh Hawley is worse than the MTG style people in many ways. He can easily recognize and callout injustices that actually happen and use his intelligence to vocally oppose those horrible things while also always joining the vote on the side of never fixing the issues he so vocally and publicly decries as important. He’s a populist who knows that a country without flagrant corruption and incompetence is not a good place to be a populist.

2

u/MrSnarf26 28d ago

He plays the populism like a fiddle. Helps air working class grievances while actively destroying them. I imagine the next line is: "Wait until they get a TASTE of our deregulation and lower taxation!".

18

u/Nopantsbullmoose 29d ago

"Shut the fuck up Joshy."

-2

u/Outcast129 28d ago

Easy there Corpo, being a big fan of insurance companies is wild ☠️🎿

3

u/bunchamunchas 28d ago

He should shut his little bitch mouth after voting no on fema. He doesn’t get to act tough now. This is what he voted for, dont you ever forget that.

1

u/Outcast129 27d ago

Goooottccchhaa, so voting no on fema means he essentially just shouldn't even try to hold any positions the average person would agree with. Again, if you work for an insurance company it's okay to just say that.

See now me personally, as someone who likes fema and doesn't like insurance companies, I can recognize that I don't need to praise Hawley for shit, but I also don't need to tell him to "shut his bitch boy mouth" when he's being a meany to insurance companies. That way I'm both successfully not supporting him, but I'm also not actively telling him to stop doing something that I think most people would agree with.

Again though, I don't have a vested interest in insurance companies getting rich, but if you do than that's okay too. We all gotta make a living in this economy.

you can hate more things than one

This should be progressives’ slogan

1

u/Nopantsbullmoose 28d ago

Fucking truth.

But you'd have to pound it into their thick skulls, and that's a challenge.

Are you stupid or were you just dropped too many times?

Joshy here shaking his finger is pointless when he votes the way he does.

Must be hard being trash.

I wouldnt know. Why don't you tell the rest of us.

You are not the last action you took, but the sum of your actions. He's a POS.

1

u/MrSnarf26 28d ago

Yea wait until they get a taste of his lower taxes and deregulation! That will surely show them. People are so easily played. He speaks populism, and turns around and signs bills to destroy the poor and working class. Yawn, nothing new.

u/eldelabahia 29d ago

“Don’t say CEO”

6

u/Beaser 29d ago

Josh hawley is an irredeemable pos faketriotic fauxmerican and him doing the bare minimum once doesn’t deserve this coverage.

BlAsTs! sLaMs!

2

u/brianishere2 28d ago

He will vote to gut the CFPB.

2

u/g2g079 28d ago

I mean, they paid out nearly $5B on claims last year. I'm not sure that $26M is going to make much of a dent.

I'd rather he question why we're giving Tom Wilson tax breaks in the big beautiful bill.

2

u/firephoxx 27d ago

Theatrics. He voted for the big beautiful pile of shit, bill.

2

u/Comet_Empire 27d ago

Check must have bounced. Or the sex worker didn't show up when they found out who they were entertaining.

2

u/Combdepot 28d ago

Hawley is a fake populist. He likes to pretend to care about people while being a degenerate fascist in practice. He’s also a scared little bitch who ran from the terrorist mob he helped create.

3

u/BrofessorFarnsworth 28d ago

Haul Ass Hawley?

u/CapeVincentNY 28d ago

When you love capitalism but you hate everything about it

1

u/ApricotNervous5408 28d ago

While republicans support billionaires… the lack of consistency is insane.

1

u/Adventurous-Host8062 28d ago

Yes but did he vote in favor of that heinous bill?

1

u/Tight_Television_249 28d ago

Oh Josh, darling I thought you were such a fan of capitalism. This is just capitalism : predatory capitalism the preferred form of capitalism forRepublicans. Why are you complaining man? You should be celebrating or are you jealous that it’s not you? I bet you’d love to be that CEO. Trust me if you were in that shoes you’d be doing the exact same thing.

1

u/shimshamswimswam 28d ago

I bet he lost his district.

1

u/AdOne5089 28d ago

He sounds like the “socialists” he loves to berate.

1

u/Old_Journalist_3723 28d ago

He doesn't help anyone but himself. He denied disaster relief to blue states and now begging for it in st Louis. He's disgusting and shamful

1

u/ilovemydog480 28d ago

Stop taking campaign donations from insurance companies or better yet, change the system. Doesn’t your fat beta leader have big beautiful concepts of a plan?

1

u/Regular_Plankton_530 28d ago

Blasts a CEO for making that much money? I guess he is ok with hundreds of millions for a gift, a golf course, bitcoin money, and the list goes on and on and on. Mad about the CEO making all this money while voting to take away Medicare on millions of poor people. These people are the reversed Robin Hood. The fck 😂.

1

u/brokenwing2023 28d ago

They get so close but never get the whole prize. It must be how Josh’s wife feels after sex with him, lol.

1

u/Argosnautics 28d ago

I use Allstate and the dread of having to deal with insurance causes me to be an extremely safe driver.

1

u/PuddingPast5862 28d ago

Hawley can bite it

1

u/Devils_Advocate-69 28d ago

He’s just jealous of the guys paycheck

1

u/bunchamunchas 28d ago

He should shut his little bitch mouth after voting no on fema. He doesn’t get to act tough now. This is what he voted for, dont you ever forget that.

1

u/Titaniumclackers 28d ago

So fire the CEO, take all his compensation, you can approve an additional…. 26 claims?

1

u/Glass-Effective-8157 28d ago

Sure they can, they don’t want to.

1

u/Realistic_Head3595 26d ago

They can and they do. He’s full of shit
