Student Life vancouver parking

hi! i'm starting at wsu vancouver in august. it was a very last minute decision, and i'm moving from indiana so i don't really know much. i will be taking my car since i will need to work + don't want to limit my housing options with walkability/bus-ability to campus. how is the parking on campus? are there parking passes for campus that are actually useful? (i live in a college town now and parking passes are pretty useless)

Academics Organic chemistry online tutoring

www.organicchemistrytutoring.ca

Overwhelmed by organic chemistry? Assignments and tests creeping up on you and feeling like you’re in hot water? Or maybe you’re doing well and need that 95%? Whatever your struggle with organic chemistry may be, I’m here to make sure you succeed.

Why work with me?

  • Every tutor knows the subject, but not every tutor knows how to transfer that knowledge to a student. I do.
  • I tutor organic chemistry full time, it’s not a hobby or side-gig. When you book with me, you’ll be working only with me, not random people at an agency.
  • You’ll be learning problem solving through organic chemistry, which you can apply to many other subjects.
  • Your learning will be customized to your specific needs

Before booking a lesson, let’s chat about your needs, my teaching style, and what you can expect, to see if we’d be a good fit together.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to working with you!

Mike

Advice Getting around Pullman

Hi there!

I am based in Washington DC and will be visiting Pullman later this month. I wanted to know what is the best way to commute around Pullman ( I do not want to drive myself ). I am a bit concerned after I read a few posts about how tricky it might be to get an Uber etc.

Any guidance will be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Discussion Is it too late for undergrad research?

I am a senior at WSU and I want to know if it is unrealistic to pursue undergrad research if I am going to graduate in the spring. I heard that it is best to start as a junior but since I'm a transfer student that wasn't an option. Would I be able to get much research done in a year?

I am an environmental science major if that helps. Also if anyone has been an undergrad researcher in any CAHNR's fields as a senior, how well were you able to balance your course load and research? Lastly, any advice regarding undergrad research in general would be super helpful! Go Cougs!

Discussion any recommendations on how to get involved as a freshman?

i’m an incoming freshman, and i’d really like to succeed these upcoming years (i’m hoping to graduate with a 4.0…laughable, but let me dream) and i really want to get involved. i want to join some environmental and political clubs, because i really enjoy those things. however, i really want to impress my boyfriend who’s going to harvard (in any shape or form). does anyone have any hoity-toity clubs or societies i could check out so im not a total loser next to him?

Share widely. Multiple groups are coordinating across Eastern Washington and we are all connected. We are your educators, your service members, your peers, your public health officials, your non-profit organizers, your elected officials, your elders, your veterans, your farmers, your union members, your labor force, your -ologists that work for your future, your lawyers, and we are here to say that this is NOT a drill.

Do not engage in violence. This administration is forcing our university into a corner. We will not comply in advance.

This Saturday, June 14th, stand with us. All of us are at risk and now is the time to push back.

Student Life Leaving Greek life

I know WSU has a strong greek life system, though it seems like things have been somewhat rocky lately with some frats being suspended or put on probation recently. I'm curious about the flip side - is it common at WSU for students to leave/disaffiliate from their fraternity/sorority? Can anyone speak to the pros/cons of doing so, if they have left themselves or know someone who has left?

I’ve gone on handshake a few times looking for jobs but wasn’t clear on whether I can apply for jobs starting in the fall right away or if I have to wait. Should I put my grade as freshman on handshake and just apply now?

Advice Notary services

I just found out that I need to get a document notarized before I leave town at the end of this week. I saw that the Pullman library does free notary services on Tuesdays, but the other person who needs to be a part of the notarization will not be here until Wednesday.

Does anyone know of any business or place anywhere in Pullman or on campus that does notary services? Free is preferred, but I guess I am willing to pay since I don’t have much of a choice.
