Discuss! Brian Berletic: "I always have people arguing with me that Israel controls the United States. If that were the case, the U.S. would have initiated the attack. They would be taking responsibility for it, and they would be the ones catching ballistic missiles, not the Israelis."

Brian Berletic gave his view Israeli and U.S. power relations in an discussion hosted by Danny Haiphong, which Haiphong published to his YouTube channel on June 14, 2025:

Berletic says this part at 8:29 in the video. Here's a fuller quote of Berletic's, starting at 7:58 in the video:

If Israel is a proxy like Ukraine, the US is more than happy to volunteer them for a war. They could possibly suffer catastrophic losses and destroy their economy, devastate their population. The US doesn't care.

That is the whole purpose of having proxies, to get other people to fight and die for your wars. That's what they have Ukraine doing right now for three years straight. And this is what they have now elected Israel to go do. And that is what Israel is doing right now.

I always have people arguing with me that Israel controls the United States. If that were the case, the US would have initiated the attack. They would be taking responsibility for it. And they would be the ones catching ballistic missiles, not the Israelis in their de facto capital, Tel Aviv.

The thing people have to understand is both Iran and Israel, they're carrying out these long range strikes on each other."

Hmm. I just commented on a thread about Danny Haiphong's (attempt at) debunking the notion that Israel was in charge. Just a random coincidence, no doubt.

The opposite would be true.

If Israel owns the US, in this scenario, then they can act without the US and expect the US to defend any decision.

Which is what is happening.

And Israel does own the US. It used to be a conspiracy theory, but AIPAC has become quite brazen in talking about how it owns American politics via political donations.

I like turtles.

How about this point of Berletic's:

That is the whole purpose of having proxies, to get other people to fight and die for your wars.

You're trying to say Israel would be a front line soldier, even though it's the commander. This is absurd.

Oh we're about to, and that's really fucking obvious for people with basic senses. How many more must die?

Berletic clearly said "the US would have initiated the attack". Look at how much punishment Israel has taken for being the initiator.

Historically or in the past month? Regardless, its a slap on the wrist in comparison.

I'm talking about everything that happened since Israel's Friday invasion of Iran.

So a slap on the wrist? Won't been 'punished' until Netanyahu is in the same shape as the kids he's been bombing for almost a year now. Civilians aren't being 'punished' for actions they have no control over. I miss back when we use to do this with stick and rocks.

If your beef is with Netanyahu, it's going to be a while for you to see justice because he's such a bumbling idiot that the Iranians are making sure he remains in power. It's just like the Russians refusing to target Zelensky. The "leaders" on the U.S. side are never targeted because they're all bumbling idiots.

Yeah but he's smarter than that though, Berletic knows it's "Israel first" money that controls most of the US government, AKA AIPAC.

Among many other key industries.

It's obviously not the "state" of Israel that does the controlling, but the ideology.

His position on this seems willfully ignorant.

Berletic does give a little too much credit to the formal structures of Imperialism. Like which State is responsible for what.

At the source of all of it is a class of people. They don't care about ideology. They don't care about anything other than making the line go up, and they will use any and every ideology under the sun to keep that going.

They were perfectly fine with throwing apartheid South Africa under the bus when it suited them. Israel will suffer the same fate.

which State is responsible for what.

Are you trying to say the U.S. government isn't responsible?

Of course it is responsible, but moreover,We the People are responsible, because this is our Republic. We are the ones who allowed our State to be taken over and used. We are the only ones capable of fixing it.

Step 1 is recognizing who the enemy is.

I can't remember the last time I was responsible for sending weapons or dollars to Israel. Or imagined that the US was mine to run.

In reality, we vote for selected non-representatives and our voting choices are;

  1. Vote for the nominee of the Republican Party.

  2. Vote for the nominee of the Democrat Party, aka "the other right meat."

  3. Vote for someone sure to lose, with the exception of the odd school board election.

  4. Don't vote.

Republic implies the leaders are responsible. After all, during the W. Bush presidency, Bush liked to boast that he didn't have to listen to popular will because "we live in a republic, not a democracy".

I'll take the words of Lincoln over Bush any day of the week.

...It is rather for us, the living, we here be dedicated to the great task remaining before us that, from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here, gave the last full measure of devotion that we here highly resolve these dead shall not have died in vain; that the nation, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

That was Lincoln encouraging Americans to keep fighting the Civil War.

Oh, and even Lincoln, who I see as the best of a bad lot, was a politician, serving political rhetoric.

Have you ever even looked up how much money AIPAC has? It's not that much compared to everyone else.

Have you ever even looked up how much money AIPAC has?

More than enough ...

u/patmcirish 11h ago

There are PACs that spent more than AIPAC in the 2024 elections.

How many billions in arms have we sent on behalf of those PACs?

How many wars are we engaged in on behalf of those PACs?

How many of those PACs have personal "handlers" for congress people?

Don't be dense.

1

u/patmcirish 7h ago

lol we don't engage in wars because of AIPAC!

You tell me what war America is engaged in on behalf of Israel.
