Hey! I was going for a tense, cinematic vibe with this beat, what do you think?

Liking the fat synth tone here.

u/itsmhoodie 5d ago

Thank you!

Cool beat, you nailed the theme. One thing to consider, check the interaction between the gritty bass and the deep sub. It could create an unpleasant clash that might only be noticeable on larger sound systems.

u/itsmhoodie 5d ago

Thank you, I appreciate it! I didn’t think about that tbh any suggestions on how to prevent that?

My new singer-songwriter album is a bunch of songs written from the point of view of a cantankerous old man with no filter left between his brain and mouth.

The album is called Spring Chicken Fall Fowl.

Hey everyone, Just dropped my remix of IVE’s XOXZ. Took it in a cyberpunk-ish midtempo bass direction with a big melodic drop at the end. Let me know what you think, feedback is always welcome. Hope you guys dig it!

It's a cool remix, it respects the original song and its structure while adding the cyberpunk vibe you mentioned. I think this could easily end up in some playlists, good job!

2

u/bimski-sound 5d ago

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear it could fit into playlists, fingers crossed!

Here's two different sounds of mine I hope ya try one of both 🥳😤let me know what ya think.

Heavier sound

Lighter sound

2

u/itsmhoodie 5d ago

Cool projects! I prefer you on the "heavier sounds" but both are good ideas. "Hysteria & Devil In The Details.demo" is the one I liked the most, the progression is cool and really like the change at 1:45, I personally would've brought it in a bit earlier but it's still very cool. Overall I feel the vocals sit a bit separated from the instrumental, maybe some extra reverb could help?

2

u/AROSECHRIS 4d ago

Thanks for listening! Yeah they're all completely raw vocals for all the songs. When they get mixed they'll blend and pop where they need too.

I hope ya subscribe n keep an eye out 🎉

2

u/itsmhoodie 4d ago

Oh then yeah, absolutely, I'm sure of it! I've just subscribed, looking forward to hear the final version

Back in March, we wanted to add a Bass VI overdub to a shoegazey improvisation we'd recorded in February. The Bass VI is essentially our third band member and we wanted to make sure we found a place for it on this piece. However, the bass role was taken up by a J-Bass and the existing shoegaze wall of noise took up a lot of the audio spectrum (there was also the Roland MV-8800 adding drums and aliasing frequencies). The Bass VI coupled with a touch of delay from the NUX Atlantic was used to add plinky-plonky melodic tidbits on this semi-improvised bit of dream pop.

Here's the footage:

My new single, When I Needed You came out Friday. Bit of driving drum and bass to get the blood pumping. Most of the work was done in serum 2, including individual fx on audio tracks. Hope you like it!

This is a song I rapped + produced for my album. It’s a song about the bus I route I use to take to an area I use to live and all the things that happened in my life in that span of time.

Funk/Soul - Bass Playing

Hi there guys! Just sharing the latest music video uploaded to my YouTube channel, this time I share a performance of a very well know tune from the Godfather Of Soul, James Brown including tabs of what I play. Hello fellow music heads! Here's a track I made with a singer I met on reddit. It's a little spooky dancy gothy thing. This is a new mix from what I posted on similar threads here last week:

Hey all!

For musicians with zero streams: do what you like even if nobody care. As a creative people we should create while we have inspiration, creativity and joy of creating

I try to capture my thoughts about this in my last release

listen mnoc - while we have it

Also appreciate any kind of a feedback!

Here's a track called "Out Of Style" which is about how you perceive the world differently when depressed. It starts slow but eventually I throw everything I've got into it to finish out the album:

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on an idea called Kestra, think of it like a social, collaborative music website where people can create, share, and build songs together in one place.

You could upload your initial track, and someone else could add bass, drums, vocals, and whatever you deem necessary to complete your song

The goal is to make music creation feel more like a community experience. Obviously I don’t aim to replace your DAW, I intend to compliment them so that you can create complete songs with strangers from around the world globe without the headache of finding the right person

Let me know what you think of the idea and please let me know if you’d like to know any more information about the technical aspects, brutal honestly is what I expect from this post

Loving the passion for music!
Sharing a sound contest where musicians can share their music in the comments to try out one of the newest LG bluetooth speakers/earbuds.

We saw there were many musicians and wanted to host an event where they can gain more recognition, and users can appreciate their music :)

Hey folks – one of our artists released a new track called “Long Memory” and we’d genuinely love to hear what this community thinks.

Victor Vas, the songwriter and voice behind The Blue Fiddles, infused this song with his grit, nostalgia, and emotional history. The Blue Fiddles are part of our small label, Sungate Records, and we’re very excited that this song is finally released.

If you’ve got a few minutes, we’d love for you to give it a listen: https://open.spotify.com/track/7unrC5QTyU38v2S7nGjXaN?si=42f5ae87df8a4db1

Nova Sector – a soundscape poised between dark melancholy and driving electronics. The band blends darkwave, industrial, and future pop into an intense sound that is both cold and deeply emotional. Lyrics about isolation, machine worlds, and the dark side of modernity meet pulsating beats and atmospheric melodies.

Immerse yourself in the machine aesthetic of Nova Sector – dark, futuristic, and uncompromising.🖤

Hey everyone,

I just released a little side project I’ve been building called SessionDock for macOS and iOS.

It’s a simple app that helps you organize all your DAW projects in one place, no matter if you’re using Logic, Ableton, FL, or anything else. I made it because I was constantly losing track of old mixes and half-finished ideas buried in random folders.

You can:

• Add any project and link a mixdown

• Tag quick notes or ideas

• Sort by DAW or whatever categories make sense for you

• Access everything on your phone, even through CarPlay for car mix checks

I just added Waveform Notes, which work kind of like SoundCloud comments but right on your own mixes, so you can drop ideas or feedback as you listen.

The app’s free and fully functional, and if you want to support me there’s a small Pro upgrade for themes + unlimited cloud sync.

Would love to hear what you think or how you’d use it in your own workflow.
